I won't, I didn't even watch the whole thing last night. I have a date to start Brokenwood Mysteries on Acorn.

Death In Paradise - General Discussion

I never warmed to Madeline, she was so bland. I didn't mind Marlon but I preferred JP and Ruby. And Fidel too. -
I could tell this was not going to be one of the "good ones" and gave up on it.

Who was the actress who played her? She looked very familiar.

Spring Baking Championship - General Discussion

I like her a lot but I agree, I don't think she will win. And yes, this is a spring baking show, flowers will probably come into play at some point. It is like being on the Holiday show and not knowing how to make a snowman. You need to do your homework if you are going to be on these shows.- 2.9k replies

Spring Baking Championship - General Discussion

She didn't bother me at all. She had some great bakes but then there were one too many that weren't good. -
I had naturally curly hair but after my son was born, I really lost the curl. I went to Fantastic Sams and asked for a "soft" perm. She used the smallest rods all over my head. I looked like a brillo pad. I cried, I got my money back..... the offered cholesterol conditioning treatments. I went once. A friend told me about a pricey salon she went to. They were shocked by the treatments the place had offered. They recommended some leave in conditioner and it made a huge difference in my hair. It didn't look as fried and brillo pad like. Really softened my hair. Perm rods scare me to this day. Thank God, I got my curl back.

I don't have a dental school close enough to me, otherwise I might go to one for the cost savings. My parents did not have dental insurance and my mom always had issues with her teeth (I take after her). It was cheaper to fly overseas to the DR, where we have family and take a 3 week vacation, see a dentist there AND pay him, then getting the work here. I don't have a fear of the dentist. Never have. I had wisdom teeth removed without only novocaine. None of that really bothers me. What bothers me are x-rays (that thing they make you bite on makes me gag) and the $$. It is a shame about the dental insurance industry (as well as the dentists who charge so much). Oral care is so important, as important as health care, yet it seems an after thought. When I hit my deductible, I went for a cleaning and it was $200 OOP. I think a cleaning should be like a mam or a pap, paid for 100% as it is preventative. Like I said, I see people with missing teeth differently than I used to. I know on this show, a lot of the people are home bound and can't get to a dentist, but before they got so big, they could have. I'm sure it is cost that kept them away all their lives.

I have issues with my teeth and I'm lucky to have dental insurance but considering what I pay in, I get very little in return. It is great is you are just doing regular cleanings and check ups. Need anything extra? Boom you hit your deductible and pay out of pocket. As it stands, I have a cracked tooth and have to pay OOP $780 to get a crown. And I just cracked another crown I only got last year. And don't get me started on implants.... at least $5K and that was 10 years ago. Insurance won't pay, it is cosmetic. I used to look down my nose at people missing teeth, now I sympathize. I take care of my teeth and I still have problems.

That is a good point. These wouldn't have flown on GBB. Alex's looked the best and even a few were wonky. -

Yea, they could have given them pickle juice or something equally as bad. A maypole? Meh, it didn't really add or take anything away. It was just there. None of them looked good. -

At least it was a twist that didn't really work against anyone, but it was pretty dumb. -

I thought the exact thing!!! I agree, they were not flowers. I thought it looked lovely but it didn't complete the challenge. I guess her biscuits got her the win. -

I liked them all. It is kind of like Doctor Who, the new one comes in and it is all like "he isn't so and so", but after a while you warm to them and appreciate them. He really grew through out the series.- 865 replies

This storyline has. I would like to have seen Trixie move into more of a mentoring role with the new nurses.

I didn't consider that. Wow, especially Judy Parfitt.

This episode didn't seem choppy like the last one. You would think the two of them would have discussed this all before they married.

It exists but should not have been part of the show. Gee, I could make a cookie salad and in no way should I be on the show. Why not do an old world recipe from the midwest?? That would be great to do a modern twist on. So happy Molly and her sprinkles are gone.- 2.9k replies

I remember him explaining his actions. It was more that he didn't want to compete like that against his friend. I think he was trying to not bad mouth the show and FN just in case. -

In all seriousness, I think when Romy walked off that final sprinkle challenge, TBH realized what a hot, streaming mess they had on their hands.- 2.9k replies
