Vision! NOOOOOOOO!!!!! "And get this man a shield." Otherwise, I gotta say, it felt weirdly choppy. More just highlighting the entire team of heroes rather than showing them in actual action. I don't know if that makes sense. Or, like @Joe, underwhelmed. It felt more like stills from a movie poster than a fast paced trailer. And yeah, we all knew that Loki took it. But I'm interested to see the context of how he gives it to Thanos. Because, he looked dirty, like Thor, and I'm hoping it's not for gain. Wait, it's Loki, of course it's for his gain. But I have a pretty bad feeling that it's going to cost Loki his life and Thanos will kill him. Who throws the spear-thingie (I'm really good at all the words) at Bucky? It's so fast, and dark, I can't make it out. I don't think Peter/Spider-Man can take a punch from Thanos. We saw Justice League this weekend and my daughter said the same thing about the villain in that one, too. We've seen Face Off. They could do it. Might take longer and make shooting go longer if they have to constantly touch it up so maybe that's why it's easier to go with CGI.

Current Squad 2017-2018: Media, Music, Videos & Show Group

As you wish :) -
Folks, people are going to talk about how the Duggars look. It is perfectly within the guidelines of this site to criticize how Jill etc look. What is not ok is demanding that folks explain why they snark on Jill's look. No one has to defend that to you. Let's get back to harshing on Jill and stop the discussion of why it's ok to harsh on Jill. Thank you.

I think that's Fantine. I don't remember Eponine wearing something like that. (And if the poster was from the Hugh Jackman one, I think Anne Hathaway would be featured, not Samantha Barks.) That poster made me actually laugh out loud. That's awesome.

S02.E13: The Life & Lies of L. Ron Hubbard
frenchtoast replied to 2727's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I would also think it's the book(s), too. I remember you could buy those books without joining CO$. You don't have to see or listen to LRH, you're just reading something that I have a feeling is written to make you feel you can fix what you feel is wrong with you. And seeing LRH or listening to him doesn't really come into play for a little while and by that point, you're already hooked. -
S02.E13: The Life & Lies of L. Ron Hubbard
frenchtoast replied to 2727's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
I gotta say, every time they show a picture of LRH smiling or talking and then smiling, my gut, instinctual, lizard-brain response is flee. Get out of here. Danger! Danger! Danger! He is so repellent. And then hearing the gory details shows those gut responses are sometimes accurate. I will say, and I wish it had been addressed, that the reason that he was able to succeed and that the cult continues is because there are others--like David Miscavige--in that organization that were also attracted to lording it over others, having power over groups of people. It seems others saw the same opportunity he did and got in and are enjoying the same gross abuse of power he enjoyed. In other words, I can see where such a person and group would attract those that find abusing power and people. Not to say that what Mike and Leah try to explain how others are sucked in is untrue. But I can see where others would fulfill its actual purpose.- 57 replies

S02.E11: Aftermath of Aftermath

I was thinking he had a chunk of money from his book sales/royalties so they were able to write the check. What really, really upset me about that is the mother did the best thing for her child. And isn't that what a mother is supposed to do? How hard it must have been to let go, but knowing that was the best thing for the child. That's not abandoning, that is providing the best care. That shit pisses me off. And on top of that, betraying the confidentiality. So, so disgusting. -
I finally remembered what I really hated in the movie--the fresco on the ceiling that Hela destroys that depicted Odin, Frigga, Thor and Loki with the weird halos. I really liked the illuminated text from Dark World and the library. But I really did not like the ceiling with the halos. It didn't seem to fit into Asgard, either. It was weird. The wacky and weird and colorful on Sakaar was awesome. The Valkyries meeting Hela was stunning. Even Surtur in the beginning was cool. But that ceiling just seemed wrong.

We were not going to see this yesterday, but the timing of the next few weekends made Saturday night the only one that fit. My poor mom, who has watched all the movies but not more than once, did not remember Heimdall and did not get the Point Break reference. My daughter (11) was getting rather tired of action adventure and she is very much looking forward to seeing it again with friends when we can. What I really appreciated is that Thor is comfortable in his own skin. He's not trying to be like dad, he's not trying to be a king, he's just trying to do the right thing. But that also made the movie--despite it's sturm and drang and huge consequences--feel very light. There was no dark journey of self discovery. It's an adventure, with high stakes, but that's what heroes do. I also really loved the Thor/Loki/Odin stuff. Loki's face (Tom Hiddleston was awesome) when Odin says, "That was quite a piece of magic. Frigga would be proud." Loved that whole scene. It was just a great movie to start the winter with--bright and heartfelt. Oh man, the colors! Loved it.

2017 Tryouts and Training Camp: Candidates Included

Enough with the pedophile and the picture talk. Keep it to the topic. Also, there is a topic for the Current Squad. This is to discuss this past summer Training Camp. Thank you. -

A reminder: The Be Civil rule applies to your fellow members. It does not apply to the show, the characters, the cast, etc. Folks are free to say whatever they like - and however they'd like to say it - about anybody that is related to the show as long as it does not violate site rules, i.e. is racist or homophobic etc. You can disagree without demanding they explain or persuade you. You can also disagree without lecturing or scolding. A few posts have been removed for scolding, and there have been quite a few that were bordering on being uncivil to posters. Also, the Ignore function is your best friend. Let's stop talking about how mean people are and talk about the current squad even though it says Training Camp. There's a reorganization upcoming, we're just ironing a few things out since training camp is clearly finished now. -
Given the amount of back and forth about something that wasn't even in the show, it would be best to head back to talking about the episode.

This is just a gentle reminder folks about the general site and forum guidelines. Also, please don't tell people how to post--it's a violation of the Be Civil rule and the posts will be hidden. (Also, realize that we're not on all the time, and there is no bright line. We use our best judgment.) Thanks! -
Kelli announces the official squad; the hard-fought dream of becoming a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader; full of excitement and nerves, the squad prepares for their very first football game at AT&T Stadium.

Or even like those visiting nurses but rather they drive you, wait for procedure, and then take the patient home. The insurance/bonding on that would be astronomical, though. Having said that, I wonder if on Care.com or one of those sites if you could hire someone for the day like that.

I was going by the on-screen description from DirecTV. After the season is over, I will go back and edit all the titles because they changed up the season number again. (I fixed all the episodes earlier this year, and when I looked a month ago this current crop was listed as season 6, or something like that. After I fixed the previous seasons/episodes according the the website earlier.) TLC...I have many unsavory and unkind words for that network. I would really appreciate it if they could make up their minds.

Discussing if the Duggars were at the Values Voters Summit is fine, no need to discuss or mention the politics/politicians behind it. From the Mod Announcements:
