LMAO - the female Tracy Jordan!

4 of the 5 end up dead. I'm assuming everyone watching at their computers also had to kill 4 people so they may not be so quick to go to the police.

Phaedra Parks: Undertaker, Esq.
RealityGal replied to radishcake's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
I remember Apollo saying something that gave me the impression that she wanted the money pretty soon after they got married, because she saw he had nice clothes or something to that effect. It wasn't because he was on housewives and was making money doing hosting gigs. -

So, I was just reflecting on Phaedra and Apollo's situation for about 4 minutes and I wonder if it didn't go down like this.... Phaedra gets pregnant by Apollo, who she knows is an ex-convict. Phaedra desperately wants to keep her image as a virtuous southern belle and so she realizes that she needs to get married, fast before she starts showing too much or gets too far along to the point where the math is even more obvious. Phaedra doesn't have enough time to try to convince someone other than Apollo to marry her so they can present an image to the world (in a perfect world, I think a guy on the down low, or in the closet with a respectable job and a family that wouldn't accept him being gay would have been a good option). Phaedra begs Apollo to marry her quick so they can keep up the image that she got pregnant on their wedding night. Apollo is hesitant, he sees how she lives and knows that he can't keep up financially, maybe somewhere in the back of his mind he realizes that even if Phaedra comes after him for child support, the only support ordered by the court would be based on his income, and so even if he made $10/hour at McDonalds, the most Phaedra could get would be maybe $5-$6 of that in support. Apollo hesitates on getting married. Phaedra sweetens the pot by assuring him that she has it all together, that she can pay his way, and he can have this fabulous lifestyle, and she won't expect any money from him because she knows that he doesn't have any money. Apollo agrees to marry, and then finds out that maybe Phaedra has a lot of debt to maintain her current lifestyle, and perhaps doesn't make as much money as she let on, and she starts asking him for $3200 for the mortgage payment. She knows that he doesn't have that sort of money so the conclusion that they both draw is that he is to go back to whatever illegal activity he was in before that would allow him to have that type of money. I think Phaedra's actions have shown that her image is very very important to her, so I could see it going down this way. -

I love this post, but only take exception because maggots implies some sort of youth. Those chicks were bar maggots like 20 years ago :)

Most of the better places I've gone to have a gluten free alternative ready (except for bread). And generally the biggest problem is the pasta/pizza dishes. Most of the other starches are potatoes and rice. So all you have to do is carry gluten free pasta and pizza dough really, and most better places I guess figure thats easy enough to do. Now for someone with celiacs its probably much harder because of the potential for cross contamination, and most restaurants will generally say "gluten free pasta available upon request" at the bottom, I'm imagine to avoid some liability for cross contamination. I don't cook, but I would imagine if you just order a breast of chicken and a rice dish it wouldn't come into contact with any gluten, but I really don't know. Now, I was recently forced into a Shakey's and I will tell you, that place has no gluten free options, so watch out. And don't go for the salad bar, it looks like a breeding ground of contamination period.

You're right, its not hurting anyone. But I do think its odd for a grown woman to wear a tiara unless she is a beauty queen or queen of a country or queen of a country fair, or homecoming queen. It makes me scared that she is going to ether some poor guy and force him to be her Disney prince. But I've watched a lot of Criminal Minds.

Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood - General Discussion
RealityGal replied to quetzal's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood
This show..... 1. Hazel - I know this is all producer driven, but how are you surprised that you're getting ganged up on when you walked into a situation where you have trouble with 2 of the 3 participants? And how are you still talking about Berg! Come on man! Just stop talking about him, talk about anything else, start rapping, do something! 2. Nia - well, looks like she had a plan to try to hook Solja and it worked, although I don't think he is going to really care, so joke's on her! 3. Apryl's Mom - I'm going to preliminarily say drugs and prostitution in her native country. I'm going to call crack the drug, or maybe Apryl's dad was her pimp. She looks so old! Maybe she was like 50 when she gave birth to Apryl. 4. Ray - J - How is he going to say he never had a relationship with Tierra when he keeps talking about how much his mom loves her? I don't bring someone around my parents until its a relationship. He is so dumb, and he looks ridiculous in that hat. 5. Nikki - She keeps talking about being a boss, she isn't the boss of anything! Her parents own property, the only thing she owns is that giant fake ass she is sporting. And even her mother is telling her that there is nothing that they can do. She is so slow, she constantly has a shocked look when someone is talking shit to her, her comebacks are slow and stupid. She looked bad trying to pick on Masika for an arrest she had when she was 17, broke and struggling and shoplifted. I knew that no matter what Nikki was going to have a problem with Masika being on that billboard, because Nikki is under the impression that she is the prettiest one in the room. 6. Tierra Marie - If Ray J wants to make things right with her, he needs to buy her some new hair. 7. Moniece - is once again, fucking insane. Always an excuse for her violence. And all this input for the child she can't be bothered to take care of. I'm glad Fizz somewhat called her on her shit. And its sad that Moniece's son has more love for his ex-girlfriend than he does for his own mother. She is so pathetic and ridiculous, go sell some sex toys or whatever. -

Kenya Moore: Twirl! Twirl!
RealityGal replied to radishcake's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
Violence isn't a matter of simple disrespect, it crosses a line, especially when done in response to words and gestures. Insults and interruptions are part and parcel of the show. If you want to say that crosses the line then everyone has crossed the line all the time, because thats what these reunions are full of. But then its asserted that it is the bullhorn that pushes it over the edge, but as I've outlined, a lot of times people insult others with a bullhorn, and they use much dirtier language. So even mixing a bullhorn with insults should not be enough to push a rational human being to violence. To me, what people are trying to do is equate words, even those spoken with a bullhorn, to dragging someone to the ground violently. People say that "I'm not forgiving what Porsha did..." but then make a statement that sounds a lot like they are trying to excuse what she did because Kenya insulted her with a bullhorn. To even say that "well, she was disrespectful and got disrespected" to me, puts the two reactions as equal, when to me, they just aren't. A lot of abusive husbands will claim that they were pushed by their wives, but even if a wife is yelling at her husband, even if she pulled out a bullhorn and yelled at him, I would find fault with him were he to hit her. But I'm guessing that a husband who hits his wife standing two feet away from him yelling at him through a bullhorn would be unacceptable, but people will find a reason why that situation is different from Porsha. Or would it be a simple matter of "well my wife was disrespecting me by yelling at me with a bullhorn, so I disrespected her by pulling her to the ground." No one, IMO, gives as good as they get, when one person uses words and the other person resorts to physical violence. I don't find the two things to be equal, to me, one is very clearly worse then the other, so its not a matter of giving as good as one gets. -

I don't think its unacceptable to expect him to get a job, but by the same token she knew that he was an ex-felon coming out of prison. She, more so than anyone, given her legal background should understand that the types of legal jobs he could get would be extremely limited. I am sure anything having to do with hard money is pretty much closed off, some jobs where you would have access to people's credit card/personal information would likely be cut off too. So that means he probably couldn't even be a mcdonalds cashier. The type of job he could legally, given that he is a felon and doesn't have much education would likely be something minimum wage. And certainly not enough to come up with a $3200 mortgage payment. If she was reasonably expecting him to pay that, she would have had to know that the job he had wasn't legal. And if she had been clear that she would pay the expenses because she understood his difficulties in getting a job as an ex-felon and then suddenly wanted $3200 for a mortgage, it seems to me that she probably didn't have the money she claimed to have and was silently co-signing him getting back into illegal activity to come up with that money. -
I just wonder if reality will hit Yamir next week when he sees he has been replaced at a Myla Vox concert. I sure hope it does, because I don't blame anyone but he and Chelsea for that happening. What did they think was going to happen? Gabriel was going to sit at home at night crying and just call Myla Vox a lost cause because Yamir fell for the slightly more annoying version of Yoko Ono? Uh, no. Gabriel tried everything to get Yamir to reconsider his decision to move, he decided he wanted to do it anyways, Myla Vox moved on, why wouldn't they? Myla Vox just released an album, wouldn't you expect them to go on tour to support the album? But you somehow thought they were just going to fold or wait to promote until you figured things out?

I'm okay with it. No little boy should allow someone to talk shit about his dead mother. If thats not a cause you can fight for I don't know what is. I normally don't condone violence for words, but that was his mother, and you're going to constantly be a punching bag in life if you let that one slide. I think Alfred saw that if he let the fight end at the point it had in school, with Bruce getting beat up by the kid at school, it would never end. By doing it this way, you've stopped the main kid and the entire thing will likely stop. I mean, sure the kid can go tell his parents what happened, but then he will have to admit that he was talking shit to a kid about his dead mother. Oswald's mother is hilarious. I like her, but no more creepy bathtub scenes

Kenya Moore: Twirl! Twirl!
RealityGal replied to radishcake's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
Okay - I disagree, because I watched the clip, and what I saw was the two of them yelling at each other and getting into each others faces, 2 people doing the exact same thing. Kenya goes off into a corner and is talking to Nene and Phaedra and then Porsha, because she just can't stop, aggressively comes back in Kenya's face for some reason, starts pointing her finger in Kenyas face and talking even more shit. And, if people want to say that charging is an aggressive move, to me, thats exactly what Porsha was doing in that clip. Kenya was talking to two other people in another area of the room and for some reason Porsha comes over aggressively. Kenya tells Porsha to get out of her face, and Porsha says "hit me" and then "I'll sue your ass off" if she does hit her. How ironic that it ended up being Porsha who got sued for violence when someone was much less aggressive than she was being. Kenya might have actually had more of a reason to strike out at Porsha because Porsha was right in Kenya's face pointing at her and getting in her personal space after sitting at least 20 feet away. However, Kenya managed to hold it together enough to not hit her, because you can't tell me that Kenya couldn't have gotten a punch in with Porsha that close, there is just no way. She didn't make a move to grab Porsha or anything from what I saw. She wasn't swinging in Porsha's direction from what I saw. And, I will add, that I agreed with every single thing Kenya said, Porsha is a barely literate moron living off her grandfathers legacy for work he did over 40 years ago, so just because someone did something a long time ago doesn't make it irrelevant. It makes it irrelevant to a moron like Porsha who doesn't know how many days are in a year, and who doesn't know enough history to realize that the underground railroad wasn't an actual train. Kenya's accomplishments, whatever they are, don't simply go away because they happened in the past anymore than the accomplishments of any other historical figure. I know Porsha can barely believe this because she has never accomplished anything in her life. -

So then its insults that allow you to physically assault someone? Because the method isn't the problem it would seem since other people use the exact same method to communicate with people (ie - a megaphone). So if the megaphone is a fine way to communicate, then its just the insults, and I seriously can't accept that someone insulting you and interrupting you is an acceptable reason to drag someone to the ground. ETA: coaches insult people routinely with megaphone as well, should the players be allowed to physically assault? -
This is why I don't think I could ever marry a Canadian.

That could be it too. He never mentioned how many times she asked for the mortgage payment. As for the designer clothes, if Apollo's lifestyle has afforded him connections to convicts maybe some of these clothes fell off the back of a truck or something ;) -
Such harsh judgment! I think you're forgetting about those sweet seats Danielle scored to the town Parade. I'm sure Mohammed has never seen such a collection of tractors and very, very pale people in all his life. I absolutely agree, but while I'm happy the K-1 process works out for some people, I probably wouldn't want to watch their stories. Me likee the trainwrecks!

Sadly, she seems like the sort that would.

Its not that she asked him to pay, per se, that part, I get. My question runs more along the lines of the fact that they seemed to have some sort of arrangement/agreement. Which makes sense, because, he was a convicted felon without any real skills or hardcore intelligence, it would make sense that he would have a hard time finding employment. It would make even more sense, IMO that he would have a hard time finding employment that would allow him to pay for the sort of lifestyle that Phaedra wanted. I know someone else in the same position but even better. He was very bright, a college graduate who was probably on his way to getting a graduate degree and got convicted of a felony (long story). This kid was well spoken, intelligent and courteous. When he was released he couldn't find a job at all, and when he did his first few jobs were basically retail positions paying about $10/hour. So its strange that Phaedra expected him to come up with a $3200 per month mortgage, and it makes sense that he thought she was going to cover that because it sounds like thats what they talked about before. -
Phaedra Parks: Undertaker, Esq.
RealityGal replied to radishcake's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
I'm sorry for having put you in that position ;) Having said that, to me, any attorney worried about her reputation wouldn't agree to represent someone on national TV in a field of law she doesn't really understand. And I don't see a problem with her asking for the money if this was a normal relationship, but it seems like she made it somewhat clear that she was successful and would therefore cover the bills. I'm not agreeing with it, its nothing I would want to do, because I don't think I could respect a man that was perfectly fine living off of my income 100%, but that seems like the relationship they agreed to. And, since Phaedra seems to like control, I could see where if she had the money, she would like to use it to control Apollo. So for her to ask him for money makes me suspicious that she didn't have it because she may not have been as successful as she put out. And it sounds like she was asking for the entire mortgage payment, not half, if she is the more successful, established partner I would think she would at least pay half of the mortgage? -
Brett is an ass. It sounds like he picked her up and then the next day went to pick up his child. And of course, he can take some time to have tea with mom and bitch about Daya because she is busy watching his child that he should be spending time with. She probably needs to start looking into whether or not an engagement ring is considered a gift if you decide not to go through with the wedding, and then worry about the appraised value.

RealityGal replied to radishcake's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
I use the legal standard because it should reflect what a majority adults reasonably expect from each other, so its the standard I use to cover what I think the majority of what people expect. I agree that having a megaphone in your face is annoying, having someone point at you with a sceptre (and see, I can't spell it either) is annoying. But there is a line between words and violence. The words are more acceptable. All of the women at the reunion were talking shit, thats what reunion specials seem to be about. About rehashing the most dramatic scenes. And many times talking shit to the other people at the reunion about it.
