  1. Remember how much we used to admire Catelyn's resilience when she was on "16 and Pregnant" and made the heart-wrenching decision to give Carly up for adoption? What happened to that girl???
  2. Four words for you, Amber..."Cat's in the Cradle". Never has a song been more fitting.
  3. Fortunately I have found several recaps online so I don't have to revisit last night's episode. Win-win!
  4. What is WRONG with the psyches of the writers of this show? Do they not think we would be totally squicked out by Liam trading his freedom by handing his (horrific) wife over to his dad? As much as I would like to see Liam walk away from Steffy because of all the hurt she has caused him, how does this make any sense? It boggles the mind! (Of those of us not availing ourselves of legalized MJ in any form)
  5. What I'm realizing as I'm reading all your comments today is that I must have fallen asleep and missed the last 15 or so minutes. Would that have happened 6 years ago? Hell no! I'd have been so on the edge of my seat that I'd not be able to sleep for a while afterwards. So sad, show. So sad.
  6. A fan of show on one of the FB fan sites created a montage of all of the early Stuffy/Bill romantic moments. I either wasn't watching closely at the time or had forgotten all about them but seeing them kiss and embrace numerous times...back when Stuffy was so pretty...helped me understand why Bill would suddenly be in love with her now. Or how she could so easily jump into bed with her father-in-law. Their history makes sense. Why doesn't show use some of those flashbacks to underscore Bill's swerve away from love-of-his-life Brooke to proposing to Steffy?
  7. Best moment of the Luann/Jackie Hoffman show...Jackie was playing one of Andy's games where she was shown pictures of two housewives who were feuding and had to state whose side she was on. When shown a split screen of Dorit vs. Everyone (on the BH cast), she immediately shrieked"EVERYONE!". Loved it!
  8. Hope monologues to Liam who looks kinda of sheepish and happy at the same time and remains silent while his eyes dart back and forth and he licks his lips. Steffy monologues to Liam who looks kinda sheepish and happy at the same time and remains silent while his eyes dart back and forth and he licks his lips. Seriously, show...we're doing this AGAIN???
  9. Believe it or not, there are some documented medical cases where children who were perfectly fine beforehand, developed severe cases of OCD following a bout of strep. I don't know what the connection is but those poor little kids were really suffering.
  10. Exactly, Ghoulina! It makes them more than one-dimensional characters. I came away from that conversation feeling that Lisa and Harry are very loving parents.
  11. THAT'S why that beer hall looked so familiar! I went to one of its chain restaurants in St. Petersburg, FL. It was a super-fun place.
  12. Whenever I get together with friends for lunch or dinner, our main topic is what's going on in our lives because we see each other so infrequently. Where are those conversations among these ladies..."How are your kids"..."How's it going with that nasty neighbor of your?"..."Menopause...it sucks!", etc. Instead one will launch immediately into a problem they have with one another (s). Are they not allowed by production to have normal friendly conversations? I'd love to listen into a few of those!
  13. I've really been puzzling over why Maci and Taylor, parents to a 9-yr-old and two toddlers, would even be considering adding to their family at all at this stage. Aren't they busy enough with the kids they've got? And then to throw that adopting-an-older-kid angle into the story made even less sense. But then I remembered that a major storyline on "This is Us" this season is Randall and his wife doing the same thing...having two kids of their own but wanting to make an older foster kid's life better by fostering and possibly adopting him/her. Which made sense because Randall's adopted. Maci clearly doesn't have a storyline this season, apart from Rhine's drug addiction. So maybe she "adopted" Randall and Beth's storyline???
  14. Amber can't be bothered to walk to the bathroom to throw up even when she knows what the symptoms leading up to it are? Instead she has Baby Huey bring her a bag so she can throw up in it...in front of him...in bed...and he has to walk away with the vomit-filled bag? There are no words.
  15. Do you think that Maci and Mack will team up against Ryan, after Mack has the baby, like Chelsey and Paisley's mom (can't remember her name) did against Adam? Once Ryan proves to Mack that he is incapable of change, that is. And once Mack realizes that being on tv isn't all it's cracked up to be, given that everyone hates her.
  16. Why does Michonne's wig look so different this season? It looks like either she shrunk or it grew. It's very distracting and all I can think about when she's onscreen. Yep...that's all I got from last night's episode.
  17. Did you all notice the scene where Tyler is trying to have a heart-to-heart with Maci and she can't even be bothered to look away from her damn phone to pretend to pay attention to him? And then, suddenly, it's like she remembered she was filming and had to act like an actual caring (okay, she tried) human being and finally put the phone away. It really rubbed me the wrong way because I am so sick of talking with people whose attention is constantly drawn to their phones everytime it beeps or buzzes.
  18. Michonne to Rick :"I saved you a turnip." If that ain't love, I don't know what love is!
  19. Erika on WWHL was even more of her usual self. When confronted with a poll that showed most viewers sided with Teddi, she said "I side with me!" and went on to state the same in another situation. This woman is so in love with herself and the "image" that she thinks she's putting forth that she doesn't realize how ridiculous a middle-aged woman dressed up as a 20-something young woman looks.
  20. I'm sorry...I've tried with this nuHope but I just can't. There is something that is just so boring about this actress' being. She has very few facial expressions and absolutely no warmth. Plus, the hair dept is doing her no favors with that plastered-to-the-skull 'do they have her in everyday which makes her more unattractive than she probably is. Watching her act is like watching paint dry. Do others have this same feeling or has she just not been given enough to do range-wise?
  21. It really turns my stomach to see Erica at any kind of "girls empowerment" movement, especially when she's crowing about how she loves to talk to young women about their journeys....how it's going to be a "struggle" and it's going to be hard. Yeah, right, until you're a cocktail waitress at the right bar where the right elderly wealthy gentleman has taken a shine to you. Then you marry said elderly gentleman and suddenly...your struggle is over! From sheer perseverance you have risen to the top and have a crew of make-up and costume crew on hand 24/7 who can transform you into a woman you weren't before you got married. And you now have a career as a pop star? (In limited markets) HOW is that message empowering any young woman???
  22. I had completely forgotten that Liam knew all about the Caroline lie. I wonder if even the actors can keep up with all of the stupid plotlines they're paid to carry out each day?
  23. What the hell was wrong with Mac in this episode? She looked positively gray! Circles under the eyes and all. Either all of her oompah-loompishness has worn off after the wedding, leaving her real dead-person skin tone showing or she's just experienced a Mac-attack! (TM Larry) moment when she's realized she's stuck with a drug-addled jerk for the rest of her life. Hmm...
  24. Is Maggie still pregnant? Shouldn't she be showing by now?
  25. Forgive me if this was mentioned upthread....there are a lot of posts to go through. Having watched "Being Gary" and seeing his mom in a whole new light, I'm suddenly much more aware of why he is the way he is. Before that special, I'd always viewed his mom (Carol?) as being fairly normal. But DAMN...that woman is off her rocker! The coldness she displayed to Jody on the beach when he was trying to propose to her was astonishing. She was downright mean! So now it all makes sense when looking at Gary's relationship with Amber. We all wondered how he could endure being in such an abusive relationship with such a mean young woman. His mom spent years training him to think that was normal. Which makes me extra-happy for him that he found Christina who seems very warm and caring. Too bad Baby Huey's baby isn't going to have a Christina to act as a soft place to fall, like Leah does.
