  1. Happy New Year to one and all! May it be filled with health and happiness. :-)
  2. Thanks, Wynne88, I thought the article was very informative and interesting. Long live Supernatural!!!
  3. If you think about the Christian concept of Heaven, people's souls go there after their bodies die, and "live" there forever with God. (or in SN's world, in little rooms) The soul does not die. So what The Darkness is saying is that what she does (in consuming souls) is the same thing with basically the same result - except that now the souls are in "the darkness" instead of Heaven. So I agree that she sees this as an "upgrade" to God's creation. Not sure I'd agree with her. ;)
  4. I've speced elsewhere on this site that for many years I've wondered about whether or not the boys have been in "The Supernatural Show" since the end of "Changing Channels". After their confrontation with the Trickster/Gabriel, the boys left the warehouse and Dean said that he wished that their lives were in a TV show, and Sam agreed since they were facing Armageddon. So maybe the Trickster granted them their wish. That would erase several years of screw-ups! :)
  5. Mick Lady, so glad to hear your friends and family are fine. My heart goes out to all those who cannot say that today. Thoughts and prayers for all the people of France to overcome this horrible loss.
  6. So what we're saying is that Carver doesn't care about watering down the classic rock - one of the original concepts of the show. :(
  7. Speaking of the song, isn't anyone surprised they used a song written/recorded by Neil Diamond? I love Neil but don't consider him to be "classic rock". :)
  8. I believe that Death said that he was as old as God, maybe older, he can't remember any more who came first. But in the end, he will reap God. This is from "Two Minutes to Midnight" S5.
  9. I believe that we have many new, younger viewers that have found Supernatural on TNT, Netflix et al. They don't belong to Nielsen's ratings and they often DVR and/or watch online. So although these numbers are important to the advertising dollar, they are NOT representative of our viewership. Look at the number of followers on the boys' twitter, FB, etc. That alone should tell you something.
  10. Steven Williams (RUFUS!) turned up on Chicago PD as a CIA operative. Boy, I've missed Rufus. :(
  11. Remember, numbers will drop when adjusted for the basketball game in the Chicago market. Our Arrow and SN wil air on Saturday.
  12. Punk the director. They're all nuts there I think.
  13. The Chicago market is being preempted for basketball this Wednesday. So initial numbers will probably be inflated, then drop when they take out the market. Gotta love WGN and their damn ball games. Basketball in the fall/winter; baseball in the spring. :(
  14. No, it wasn't pre-empted in Chicago (or NY, I imagine), but many were tuned into the game. Anyway, SN always does better with DVR increases for 3/7 days.
  15. I've been a Cubs fan my whole life. Obviously, I'm hoping that they will go on to the World Series.
  16. Sue, I was sick to death over that UM loss - to State no less!!!! I really feel sorry for that punter although I think he got a low snap so he's not totally at fault. But with Harbaugh at the helm, I think good things will come our way very soon. And the Chicago Tribune, who never covers Michigan, had a huge headline saying that Michigan State saves the best for last. I ripped it up!!! (In case you're wondering, big fans of Notre Dame here in Chicago so therefore Michigan rivals).
  17. Ah, but the question is - will the CW network exist after this year. I was under the impression that its ten year contract will be up in the spring and it has to renew or find a new home in order to continue. Does anyone have any further info on this?
  18. Well, I was bored and offended. The title "Form and Void" - well, there was very little storytelling "form" and IMO it was "void" of entertainment. As mentioned above, they kill the young cop they introduced last episode as well as her grandmother, change the baby into a little girl who goes off with Crowley (whom Dean left rather than trying to kill), and St. Sam figures out a cure for The Darknesssss from a bible verse and cures himself and others. Gag me with a spoon. What has happened to show I use to love????
  19. The CW head Mark Pedowicz (sp?) enjoys the show and respects it, so I hope that if a decision is made to not renew, he would give the show a heads-up as soon as possible to give them a chance to end it properly. Look at Smallville - they knew they had a season to wrap things up. Let's hope for the same respect.
  20. I thought we would get a good increase. As I mentioned, I think we lost a large portion of the Chicagoland market.
  21. I have to wonder if Singer's view and Carver's met an impasse. That is so strange that Singer would back away from producer after so many years. With a little luck the Nepotism Duo will no longer be with us. One can only hope. I know, I know...
  22. The Chicago market had Cubs "win or go home" playoff baseball game on competing channel. Also there was the Blackhawks raising the Stanley Cup Banner and game on a competing channel. I'll be curious about the DVR increases when they come out.
  23. When the FBI in "Blindspot" walks into a place and says what's that smell? Rotten eggs? To which you reply SULFUR! And then they find the same little pile of yellow dust that the boys find on Supernatural.
