Quick question...do the Rods allow hand holding during courtship? Or was it just a Duggar thing that hand holding was saved for engagement? Actually I don't remember if this Not Nurie and her love are only courting or engaged...but they are holding hands.

Just started watching this episode and noticed something...is the production crew/editors trolling us by listing Taryn, Marcus, and India in that order so their initials spell TMI 😆

If it had been staged, there would have been a decorative cross placed neatly in the center of the destruction to prove god loves them the mostest 😆

With them using River for the miscarriage I could see them using Asher this time if they are trying to spell Israel. I feel like Asher/Ash has a little bit of the earthy theme like River, while also being biblical.

I know speculating is pointless but, is it maybe possible Anna shooed them out her door with a "Go see Aunt Jana!" and Mack and older boys lost Maryella along the way. Jana, still asleep at the TTH, had no idea she was on duty until police showed up saying hey, did you lose a 2 year old? At that point it wouldn't be unreasonable for her to say she didn't know, or didn't have a toddler, or wasn't babysitting.

I almost wish we could slow down the commenting...having his (hopefully) guilty verdict plastered all down page 666 of this thread would be amusing.

Maybe this has been brought up already and dismissed but...It's possible Anna WANTS to leave Josh but is so brainwashed into believing everything she is told, feels like she can't. And I don't mean in the obvious ways that I know have been discussed here. regardless of all of our opinions on JB and Michelle, Anna has been told from day one that they are the best parents ever and experts on handling a large family. They have a nice, large home, money, and have already successfully gained custody of a not-Duggar child. It is entirely possible that Anna wants nothing to do with them/Josh and hasn't for some time but is also being "reminded" that she has no income, no experience, no home, no prospects, essentially she has nothing without the OG Duggars. She very well might be being told that if she leaves, they'll go for the kids, and it's likely, from her viewpoint on the world, that she would completely believe she wouldn't stand a chance if they tried to take her kids away. One thing we know about Anna is that she seems to love her kids and wants nothing more than to be a mom. I think a lot of moms with a similar mindset, belief system, and brainwashing, would absolutely put up with anything if it meant not having the threat if their kids being taken away.

Not only was she wearing pink pants, she CHOSE to not edit that quick glimpse out. She wanted people to know about the pants, but wasn't ready to all out flaunt them. It was a pretty cute outfit compared to her usual shapeless dresses and big cardigans.

Maybe...if it's possible, I'm not in the know much about Twitter and instagram...we should start posting links to here in their SM? Might get them to join us. Sure the snark and criticisms would upset them but seems like there's also been a lot of support expressed for them to step out of the shadow of the TTH. Things could get pretty interesting here if they joined in!

Have they ever stayed in the rv in cooler weather? They could have ripped out the furnace for storage.

I did a quick search and found this speculation that Counting On had already fudged the courting start date...putting it at August 2016, a few months before they announced in November. https://duggardata.tumblr.com/post/172185408927/when-did-joystin-start-courting but by Austin's birthday post is sounds more like August 2015 and they fudged the date by well over a year and had already slipped up a few times during filming.

It doesn't matter haha, Bradford County doesn't have a hockey team or an arena of any sort. The only buses we have run on a very set daytime schedule and there's only one taxi company with just a handful of cars. The whole thing was a very tv fantasy world, so Nicky's camper might as well be across the road from the pretend arena. Which...if we did have an arena, would probably actually be likely for as rural as we are!

I don't think it matters as much if they aren't courting. A lost girl was allowed to hold Ben's hand during prayer before Jessa could (I think the scene specifically showed them putting J-child in between them) and an older girl not Jessa was all up close and personal cutting his hair. For all we know Jana might get more G rated action being an older unmarried than she would if she was in a courtship.

If you use your imagination on that picture, leave her pose but replace her clothes with standard 80's teenager clothes, I think we have the answer to why she's standing like that. She 's standing like the typical teen girl next to her first steady boyfriend, thinking she's looking all cute and grown up.

We weren't shown that she was a runner but there was that photo of her in track pants under a skirt. They may have felt showing a daughter doing athletic things would go against the way they wanted to be perceived. She was supposed to be training to be a submissive little wifey not a marathon runner. A female jogging might give unsuspecting men lustful thoughts. Maybe it could be seen as vanity. Jinger never seemed to be all that domestic as a teen but she must have been doing something with her time. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if she was out there exercising on her own.

Using "kiddos" and trying to have a SM presence is probably as close to a midlife crisis as Anna can get. She's trying too hard to be the relevant cool young mom and she's just not. She's no longer wife of Golden Child, she's wife of edited out blob to the far right of every shot. Instead of being the only Duggar daughter in law, the only mom of Duggar Granddaughters, the only married couple to move away, she's just 6 kids deep at 31 in a society that blames her poorly made sandwiches for her husband's wanderings.

I wonder if part of the lack of toys and personality in the boys' bedroom (along with it being the smallest), has something to do with the "safeguards" Jill learned and lived with after the molestations? She may not want them to have a place separate from the main living area to play and spend time together. If her children spent even 5 minutes alone with each other playing behind a closed door,they may not be able to control themselves. It may also be why she resents Izzy and is protective of Sam, either intentionally or subconsciously she equates Izzy with Josh as the the oldest son, and Sam currently represents all the younger siblings that needed to be kept safe from Josh.

I'm betting Lauren will have a "traumatic" delivery and will be laid up for much longer than necessary, requiring live in help. Around the time she can't milk that any longer she'll developed an extreme case of post partum so she won't lose her J'servant. Their precious rainbow second baby will be an absolute miracle, but will be one step up from a bubble baby (gotta pass her around the eleventy billion people for sweet photo ops...I mean fellowship!) Her first year of life will be full of health concerns and prayers needed, but by the grace of God they will miraculously overcome all the obstacles and trials. Lauren will make Josiah sleep in a separate bedroom until the spotlight isn't on her anymore and she needs another blessing for attention.

I'd guess it's another situation of cherry picking. #angelbaby might go against their theological positions but it's trendy and more catchy than #unbornsoulinheaven or #clumpofcellsthatdidntstick
