  1. Oh, good, then I'm not the only one. So many Bates haters. I just want them to finally have some peace so they can enjoy their lives together and, hopefully, have a family.
  2. Shane home canned those different soups, so better than just getting some Campell's. I hope he used a pressure cooker or Charlotte could be getting a case of botulism.
  3. In one one of the earlier season, Spratt loathed working with the unwed mother (name?) who was learning to cook for Violet. She took her under her wing to help her out, and Spratt was appalled at having her in the kitchen. Even Carson isn't as stuffy as Spratt.
  4. Violet's butler should be sacked for ignoring Dr. Clarkson. Any guest in Violet's home should have been treated with respect. Poor man couldn't get a cup of tea, but he didn't complain. I wish Isobel would marry him. After all, they are good friends, he's a handsome and kind man, and they have similar interests, so why did she turn him down? I really loathe Bunting, but I think we'll be stuck with her all season. Tom deserves someone so much better than this annoying character. If he marries her, he'll be henpecked. I guess I'm the only one here who cares about Anna and Bates and their future.
  5. If Adam killed Delia, what would be the point in bringing him back? He'd only end up in prison. I think Gabriel was the one who hit Delia and then left the scene.
  6. Eric and his bride were in only two episodes this season, and it appears he has moved to southern Alaska where it's more populated. I wonder if he will be totally replaced by Glenn next season. I guess it's still 'below zero' down south, but not near the Arctic Circle, where the others live.
  7. I watched the couple (no kids) who wanted a tiny home that wouldn't take up much space on their farm. They didn't want to take up valuable orchard space with a large house. They ended up buying one that had to be built, and they made a few changes in the design. I thought the finished product was really lovely and roomy for a tiny house. Seems like every one of these episodes I've seen, the wife or girlfriend comments about how small the place is. Duh, that's why they're called tiny houses.
  8. Where is Sue going to go when she is really old and unable to do all that hard work? Maybe where her grandson lives. Why must they show smoke billowing from her mouth in those 'artistic' shots before her segments? Next thing they'll show her swigging from a bottle of whiskey. Yes, we know she works every bit as hard as a man without these "I'm a tough old broad" shots.
  9. That was one big burn! Even though he hosed down the area before he lit the pile, there were a lot of sparks flying in the air. I would think they could have started a fire. I wonder how Glenn can live out in the wilderness for so much of the year. Does he have an inheritance to pay for his child support? He's too young for be a pensioner.
  10. Last night we got to see a man arriving by plane to be a B&B paying guest. She said there's only a six-week period during the summer for her to make a living with her business. Must be very stressful during that time when the weather doesn't cooperate. Glen doesn't seem shy about showing off his trim body. Guess there are no female photographers. He's very inventive, building an underground log-lined 'refrigerator'. I wonder how long those fish would last. I don't envy the Hailstone family's summer living quarters. All those unshowered bodies living in that tent for weeks. Kind of gave me the creeps watching them beat those poor ducks to death. Not a life for me. Andy seems to be a very healthy and strong man who will be living the Alaskan lifestyle for a very long time. I too wonder if Dr. Oakley is their vet. Since their series are on the same network, they should make her pay a visit to Eagle to check out the dogs.

I was glad to see them leave the hospital......onward to new adventures on the road. There was that one young girl walker with her mother that Daryl buried. .

The doctor wasn't sure about internal injuries. Obviously, he was wrong and she was just bruised from the car hitting her. I agree, but the writers should have added a line or two where Maggie expressed concern for her sister. Obviously, a lot of viewers are blaming Maggie for forgetting her sister when it's really the writer's fault, not the character. They're probably going to Virginia where Noah lives. I'm relieved that the 'family' has left the hospital and will be on the road again in February. Sorry about Beth, but happy that Carol didn't die.
  13. As I said, she's a tough broad. Don't want to bruise the meat. My hubby usually hits them in the head.
  14. I wish this topic was more active. I love this series and would like to discuss it. I miss TV Without Pity. I like Glenn. He has such a positive attitude. Wouldn't want to be a Hailstone daughter. Do they ever get to do girly things? And I'm not a fan of their diet. Andy Bassich has to be one of the more accomplished people on this series. He's always working hard and can do just about anything. Sue is sure a tough broad....smoking, cussing, doing all those things a man would do. When is her hunting/fishing camp open? She'd have to make quite a bit of money during the season to keep herself going through those long winter months and plane deliveries.

  16. Thanks for the link. Both of Eve's parents work there, but I wonder if they're divorced, since Eve doesn't talk him. Her mother lives in Gustavus, which is on the edge of Glacier Bay. Doesn't look like hundreds of miles, but I bet the only way to get there besides plane would be by boat.
  17. I love Sydney...beautiful city and harbor, but I also wondered why all four guys had to live together. I think that would be too much togetherness, especially since they didn't know each very well. I liked that large and attractive house and Paddington is a good area for shopping and restaurants. But one bath and not a very large one either would be a deal breaker for me.
  18. Making soap? I thought that was a bit ridiculous. My grandmother made soap 60 years ago, but I bet she wouldn't go to all that trouble today. I think the products that are available today are a lot kinder to sheets and towels.
  19. Since Daryl and Carol are my favorite characters, any episode with them in it is fine with me, although I do miss the rest of the family.
  20. And a pair of scissors for much needed haircuts. And Carol with her head bandaged. I don't want a scene of Carol dying in Daryl's arms. To me, she's too important a character in Rick's family to bite the dust.
  21. He has a step-son who has been in an episode or more. He calls him 'son', so they must be close.
  22. Eric was back last night and shot a grizzly.....and we were introduced to his new wife! Guess he's tired of living alone out there in the wilderness. She's an Alaskan girl and quite pretty.
  23. To be fair to Chip, all we see of their lives is what is filmed for this series. It seems that a lot of the hunting and fishing in their area can only be done by the native people. He seems to be a good father who is teaching his girls how to be self-sufficient in their way of life.
  24. Sue is a real gutsy gal, but a ray of sunshine she is not. Her entire segment seems to always be about what would happen if she didn't work her butt off every day. I can't imagine living all alone, except for her dog, for the entire winter. And that tundra is not an attractive landscape, like Eagle and the area where Glenn lives.
  25. Just watched last week's episode last night, and I was about to post about how staged that episode looked. I couldn't see any good reason why any of those men couldn't have helped with the cattle drive, as important as it is. I think the director just wanted to show some drama.....Jane having problems with the horse and Otto losing his cool. Love the show, though. And I think Eivin is going to be the best daddy ever.
