  1. Oh, I know there will be a guy and girl playing the adult roles. I just meant that I think it's less impactful having teens playing them. Obviously it's a high school musical, so of course the adult roles are always played by teens but for SA the whole child/adult divide is so inherent.
  2. Michael, the transgender boy. I thought they'd make Simon Moritz, but I guess that's too close to being the lead. Are they going to be switching up who sings what songs in the show? Don't Melchoir and Wendla sing "The Word of Your Body?" I know SA has been adapted for high schools but I think not having any adults lessens the alienation the kids are supposed to feel. Also, kind of random but why would they need $14K? SA is pretty bare bones. All they really need are the costumes. They already have the chairs.
  3. Totally random question that may have been answered in the S1 threads, but is Flynn from the future since he has/had Lucy's journal? If so, how is that possible? First, aren't they not supposed to travel to a time where they already existed? And second, Flynn would have needed to have a time machine already, so why would he travel back to 2017 to steal the mothership if he already (presumably) had it?
  4. I was definitely just as confused as most people, but didn't the brother tell John and Laszlo that he killed George or am I totally wrong? I really thought Mary was gonna kill Connor. Then I thought he was gonna rape Mary. Then as the railing was splitting, I was sure again she was going to kill Connor. But of course it makes sense. How could she be happy? How could Laszlo? Was I the only one who heard Mary gasp, or make some sound, as she was falling?
  5. Didn't Lucy tell her mom about her sister at the end of last season? I got the feeling that she knows she had another daughter but obviously doesn't feel the loss so she's chosen Rittenhouse over her. She chose Rittenhouse over Lucy too. I think Lucy will have to kill her before the season finale. Or she will end up doing something selfless for Lucy and die in the process.
  6. The new Aurora Teagarden movie is called "Reap What You Sew" and premieres April 15th. Internet sensation and old family friend of Aurora Teagarden, Poppy Wilson, has returned to Lawrenceton to start her new embroidery business. But not everybody is happy with Poppy's success when she turns up dead. To find the killer, Roe must follow the unsettling truths that lead her into the path of the killer. It looks like it somewhat follows Book #8 called "Poppy Done to Death," which immediately follows "Last Scene Alive." Hopefully the movie includes Robin, like the book. I just can't stand Martin.
  7. I also think the dead boy at the end was Rosie, as that would tie in to the beginning of the episode when he petted the dead horse. I don't get why Connor was still involving himself with Van Bergen since he'd been fired. Was he still following Byrnes' orders in hopes to be reinstated? I never understood him protecting Van Bergen since it was clear he hated him. Killing him makes much more sense, although I didn't think he would shoot him. The fall would have been enough to kill him - and less messy.
  8. I was wondering why they didn't have normal supporting characters Sally and John. I know Aurora explained, but was it because the actors weren't available or turned them down? They were definitely needed as they expanded Perry's character and brought on the new Mayor character.
  9. Am I the only one who thought maybe they were setting up Tench's son to have deviant behavior? I just read someone say he was autistic - and looking back I can see how that makes sense - but with this show being about serial killers, that's just where my mind went first. Especially because it seemed like he was very angry when Holden knocked over his lincoln log tower and was keeping himself in check. Also, I know that Holden was trying to prevent the principal from escalating to hurting a child, but after hearing his wife and seeing him drinking in the parking lot, I wondered if his firing was actually a stressor and the thing to set him off. So actually Holden has unknowingly set in motion the future actions he was trying to prevent.
  10. I give up. I'll come back once it's over and fastforward through 90% of everything to get to the characters I actually care about. But where/how did I miss the would-be rapist psychopath is a Horne?
  11. Regarding Brian Schmidt's story, he didn't mention his father being there at all, right? Just his Uncle Billy and other uncle. But his mom and sister only mention his father coming home bloody, so there's a big inconsistency there. I wonder how old he was supposed to be at the time. There are so many moving pieces and people involved, I almost feel like I need Gemma's coffee filter map myself.
  12. Wait ... Bobby Briggs killed someone? Why would they have him do that and then never be effected by it in the series? I mean there's a lot in the movie that doesn't make sense for the same reason, but that stands out.
  13. Hmm, so whomever set the car on fire took Jason's jacket to plant on FP? Maybe some of his other possessions will start to pop up too. Weird that he's in a gang on the DL. And that Cheryl didn't recognize him when she took pics of him and Hermione. Clearly everyone's parents went to high school together, married each other and never left town. The main characters will turn into their parents if they don't leave soon. I think fake Grundy could be the killer. She's left town so it's easy to forget about her, but she had some sort of relationship with Jason and we only know where she was at the time of the gun shot. But I don't think she would have snuck back into town to burn the car.
  14. I had no idea why Betty was staring up at that speaker, but why does everyone think they were at the school? I thought that was the Sheriff's Department, since why would Sheriff Keller be at the variety show? I agree with others who said they felt a scene was missing between Betty and Jughead. I've seen (and liked) the chemistry between them, but didn't really get the sense that either had realized they had feelings for the other, especially in this episode. Lili Reinhart did say in an interview that some dialogue had been cut for time as well as say what Betty thought of the kiss.
  15. I'm guessing the next episode, if you go by titles. I like Dorothy and Lucas too although I didn't realize he was so much taller than her until they were making out.
  16. I wonder if Frank was somehow able to "enhance" his intelligence in Oz because he really didn't seem that smart in the flashbacks - at least very emotionally stunted. Like when they meet the natives (are they the munchkins?) upon first arriving and he tries to approach them even though they've already drawn their weapons. Jane is the one who takes charge and even though they can't understand her, they know she's their leader. I don't think Anna is going to die. I'm sure magic or science will save her, and she's so idiotic I'm sure she'll forgive the Wizard. Am I the only one who thought the witch at the end was Anna's mother? I think I remember him telling Anna she worked at the brothel, but something about the way Frank looked at her ... plus remembering that could have been another reason why he shot her.
  17. So I guess that's it for Glinda? What was the point of being in the first 2 episodes if West was the one who sucked out East's magic? I mean, other than reminding people unfamiliar with Baum's novels (like me) that this is a character they know?
  18. Regarding the ex-Scienos being well-off now, in Amy Scobee's book, she said she and her husband were quickly able to find work at a packaging company where they built boxes on an assembly line. At the same time, they started restoring old pieces of furniture for themselves, but soon co-workers were asking for pieces and they realized they could sell a lot for a profit. So they quit their jobs and decided to go into business for themselves. Also, since a lot of them live in Clearwater, I looked up the median home price on Zillow and it's only $194K. In addition, I think most of the other people who have been featured also live in cities with lower costs of living. Now, if they show someone living in a million dollar house in L.A. then I'd be really curious - and jealous.
  19. I just finished Jenna's book last night. I hope if it gets renewed for another season they will talk to her as well.
  20. Did they ever explain why Rinder was put in the Hole to begin with? Did Miscavige just not like him? Also, I was waiting for them to mention Rinder's hand in turning Nicole's kids against her right before/during the divorce. I had read or seen him own up to it before and say he would apologize to Nicole if he thought she wanted anything to do with him.
  21. I'd really like more of an exploration into marriages in Scientology. What made Claire and Marc choose to trust each other (esp. with Claire's narcing) after 13 years of marriage (and Mary Kuhn and her husband) as opposed to Mike Rinder and his wife (married 20+ yrs with kids)? I wonder how much love really exists between two people who marry as teenagers just to have sex and then never really see each other or know the other person? Question: was Leah's husband a Scientologist? Nothing I've seen on other shows has led me to think he was, but I haven't read her book.
  22. I'm confused about a couple things. Wasn't Cricket a character in another season? Why does his name sounds so familiar? Also, I was expecting the ghosts of everyone who's been killed so far to show up. Do they have to wait for the next Blood Moon before they can pop up or something? Also don't understand how Adina Porter is labeled as a special guest, when she's been in every episode, as opposed to Evan, Cheyenne and Wes. They must have better agents I guess.
  23. I think it was fine that he presented it to Claire and Mary. I just wish that in the previous episode Murtaugh had made the promise to one or both of them.
