  1. Wow, I really liked The Christmas House, so now I'm seriously questioning my taste. Although I would probably watch Robert Buckley watch paint dry. The only thing that seriously bugged was the apparent off-screen conversation between the parents about getting back together. I heard Jonathan Bennett on Home & Family last week and he said something like 'I have a feeling this family is going to be with Hallmark for a while' or something similar, but maybe that's just his wishful thinking for continued employment.
  2. I haven't seen the movie, so not sure what the character's storyline is but are you sure the character was written as having CMT and not that they auditioned the actor with CMT and liked them so much they decided to tailor the character to them? That would obviously also show their willingness for diversity. I just have a hard time believing a writer would decide to give a character a physically noticeable disease unless they had a personal connection to it. And I don't know, maybe they do. Different random question, has anyone seen if Trading Christmas has aired yet or will be airing soon? I always try to watch that one but Hallmark tends to air the older movies less and less. Same with A Season for Miracles.
  3. Just watched "The Christmas Secret." I rewatch this one a lot. I don't know why Hallmark can't make more movies like this. Is it cheesy? Of course, but it's heartfelt cheesy and not formulaic with all the twists even though you know what almost all of them are from the beginning. The actors are all really good too. My only complaint would be the total lack of diversity.
  4. Regarding Rey Rivera and how where he landed could somehow make sense, my question is, why would someone who wants to kill themself do that? Wouldn't you just step off the building? To me, you wouldn't take a running start unless you were trying to jump over or onto something. It's not like I research suicides, but I would think it's about doing something physically "easy." And also something that would cause a quick death. Which is why I don't think Joanne was a suicide either. It seems like she would have injured herself a lot before even getting to the icy waters. Also, given how much she loved her family, I don't see how she wouldn't have left her children a note.
  5. His casting on PLL was almost 10 years ago, but Casting offices now are very strict when casting Native American roles. I used to work for an agent and one of her clients was up for a Native American role and when they seriously wanted to book her, they wanted to know her tribe and percentage of blood and my boss got super mad because it's apparently very offensive and intrusive to ask that (re: percentage of blood) but casting basically said they needed to have concrete proof. I think it's very odd that Tyler didn't know his own ancestry. And neither did his dad, that they needed to go back to grandma. I mean, even in grade school I remember having to do a family tree. I always assumed he was something other than white, but the fact that he didn't ask until he was in his twenties makes it pretty obvious that *he* thought he was white.
  6. How weird. If you look up Drew's property, it shows that it sold at the end of September for $6.7M. Apparently it has a double lot so I guess they subtracted $900K as the cost of the second lot?
  7. I actually thought they were going to have The Boys raise Ryan for a sec. Otherwise, aren't they just creating Homelander 2.0 by sending him off with the CIA? He's just killed his mother and found out his superhero father is a monster. Sure he doesn't really know Billy and Billy would probably be a shit dad but that just brings his daddy issues full circle. Plus, it would forever tie him to Homelander. Raising the son of his greatest enemy.
  8. Actually, it isn't Amber. She was originally cast as Swanee but when she was made a series regular on Roswell, she had to drop out. Swanee is played by an actress named Kelsey Asbille. And actually, Uzo Aduba was originally cast as Zelmare Roulette (Swanee's partner) but I guess she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts too.
  9. Did Will really change that much in a year? I haven't seen the ep but haven't we been seeing him every year for the last several years for the jury roundtable discussion?
  10. Welllllll Josh ... ? Although he was so godawful maybe they were just soulmates. ETA: Oh never mind. Just realized you meant non-straight too.
  11. I think for the next new season Production should lie and tell each HG they are "America's Player" and if they tell any other HG, they get automatically evicted. And the viewers vote for every single thing each player should do so they become America's puppets. We don't need their minds, just their ability to walk and talk.
  12. I must have missed when Dani decided not to evict Tyler anymore. I'd guess she was manipulated by Cody/Tyler/Enzo. And I'm sure CBS isn't going to air the mocking of Ian, but a good amount of people have seen it on the feeds to do some damage. Like Nicole losing some sponsors. So I'm looking forward to seeing what voting out Ian will do to Memphis/Nicole/Christmas/Dani's job prospects outside BB.
  13. I know as recently as a year ago he was trying to get some cheeseball Christmas movie made. I was working for a manager at the time and saw the name "Cody Califiore" as star and producer on a breakdown and immediately gagged. Did not submit any clients to that. But Lifetime/Hallmark will pay their stars $150K-$200K for 2 or 3 weeks' work.
  14. Wait, Cody is a realtor? I thought he was a wannabe Hallmark Christmas movie star?
  15. Why isn't there a pissed off emoji option here? I'd be hitting that on almost every post - PO'd at BB/HGs, not the poster.
  16. Can someone explain how the HGs are able to tweet? And when did that start?
  17. Wow. I guess this was pre-Bayleigh's model money and Swaggy making millions through daytrading to use such a crappy excuse to keep $15K? And I guess their fans have forgiven - or forgotten?
  18. Okay I definitely never knew that. I thought it was something that happened on the show.
  19. That season had some of the most God-awful human beings on it. Totally agree about Candace and Howard. It would have been nice to have either of them back.
  20. Can you remind me what they did? I do remember most people didn't hang with him except that guy he took his walks with.
  21. What's causing Ian to stress out so much? Being away from his gf? On Kaysar's eviction ep, he seemed to really be strategizing and going all Machiavelliam with Kaysar and Kevin. So I'm wondering what changed. Also does anyone remember if he was this anxious on his original season?
  22. Sorry, what I meant was I started watching BB back in the day in the middle of S5, so now I've started with S1 on CBS All Access. So I defnitely plan on watching those seasons you mentioned.
