  1. This. So much of what's posted here becomes fact by virtue of repetition. I really hate it when I see this particular rumor repeated. It was second or third hand gossip by an anonymous someone claiming to know members of the DCC. It has really bothered me to watch this spin out into assumptions that Holly's teammates don't like her and she's persona non grata, and talks behind her teammates backs. Then people build negative theories about her based on completely unsubstantiated rumor. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure I've made assumptions about people based on less. But for some reason, this one in particular really bugs me.
  2. Did Alyssa say it was for a New York winter? I don't remember hearing that. I know Zanna said it, but by then the designers already had their materials and had started their garments. Then again, I fast forward through most of these episodes, I I might have missed that.
  3. Gratuitous nudity was the point. There is no deeper explanation than that. I have a grassy knoll theory about the "blind runway." The runway may be blind, but does that mean the entire first round of judging is? There doesn't seem to be any numerical scoring. I bet they tell them who made what before they choose the top and bottom. I was planning to hate her too. The only guest judges I dislike more than bloggers are You Tubers and D-List reality show people. But she was pretty good. Or at least she was not annoying and that counts for a lot. Yep. Just like Emily did. One of my PR pet peeves is when a designer whines about having to make something they've never done before. I don't do menswear. I don't do red carpet. I don't do plus size. I've never made pants before. I have no patience for that. Mitch whining about making winter wear was pathetic. You're a fashion designer. An ALL-STAR fashion designer, and you've never made long pants and long sleeves for a woman? Never made a jacket? He should be embarrassed to make that statement.
  4. Did one of the designers yell the f-bomb in Mood after Valerie yelled the 5 minute warning? Didn't Kini make that same coat - maybe that same entire outfit during his season? Another win from an "all-star" who never won a single challenge in her original season. Sheesh. My DVR cut out. What was the reason for keeping both of them? Naeem Khan's commentary made no sense to me. What was that about the butterfly? The only thing I understood was the one thing about the button being too low. Instead of a top four, they should have had a bottom three that included Ken. His model looked sorta like Caitlyn Jenner. I think it was the hair.
  5. I think Amy T looks good too. Kelli's ideal DCC body is so...so... hard. I don't like it. I don't want them to jiggle, but I would like to see more softness, more curve. To me that is beautiful and feminine. I don't care for the zero body fat look. I'd rather have more of them look like Amy.
  6. Some folks believe having bigger hair balances out a bigger body. If she didn't have that shrub on her head, she might look like a little pea-head sitting atop a large bosom.
  7. I really like Danielle. I really hate the bikini bottoms. For me that crosses the line between sexy and trashy. And the suit looks so unbalanced with so much more fabric up top than down below. I wonder if the girls have to pay for their own hair appointments, because Stephanie looks like she hasn't had a touch up in a while. I hope if she comes back next year, they let her do a different color because the red has really faded out. Holly's hair color looks much better without all the red she had earlier.
  8. I thought someone posted a while back that Kelsey Lowrance had moved to LA? Or was about to move to LA? I could be making that up, but I thought I read that here. ETA: I guess not. Maybe I was thinking of someone else. I wonder if we'll see anyone from any other NFL teams. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders are having some auditions in other countries: Brazil and Colombia, I believe. Interesting idea.
  9. One of the things that fascinates me about Natalie is she actually believes she's hot. And assumes everyone else believes it to. I find her so homely. And she doesn't have a great body. If she didn't have that completely obnoxious personality, she'd be completely forgettable. Where does her confidence come from?
  10. I'm glad Vivian won and I liked her body of work better, but I liked Sef's final pieces better than Vivian's. I thought the wood and metal looked awkward together on her table, and the chandelier was completely impractical. It didn't have enough light to be a lighting source in a room. It was more of an art piece. Sef kept squeezing Vivan's shoulder. He must've done it 3 or 4 times that I noticed. I've never noticed him being a hands-on kinda guy. It seemed like the second carpenter, the one who was not chip was not into hugging. It was awkward between him and Sef, both at the beginning of the show when the bonus carpenters were revealed, and at the end when the carpenters joined the designers. Did anyone notice Vivian and her carpenter's synchronized scooby head tilts when blonde judge said "we're having you do something that's never been done on this show" (or somethng like that.) His face was half off screen, but it was a funny moment. I felt a little bad for Sef at the very end. Everyone congratulating Vivian and the confetti and whatnot, and he had to stand there for all of it. At least he has is fiance to comfort him.
  11. oops, my error. It's probably a good thing. She does look very young in one of those photos. I know some NFL teams have a minimum age requirement of 21, and I don't think that's a horrible idea.
  12. I'm glad for them and wish them all well. They all had a good career with DCC, and there's a lot to look forward to in retirement. I'm sure they're excited to being able to call their time their own again, to spending more time with loved ones, eating what they want, wearing their hair the way they want, not getting weighed each week, living with less scrutiny, etc. And maybe some will be all stars and still be able to do some DCC things without all of the intensity and time constraints.
  13. Looks like this girl Bailey is planning to audition this year:
  14. Paige's appearance (or not) at the banquet will be a big clue as to whether she resigned from the team. If she isn't there, I'll take it as evidence that she quit. Of course, if she is there, that isn't proof either way, really. In most organizations, when you resign, you are no longer included in employee activities or entitled to employee privileges. But if Paige quit for something Kelli considers a good reason, I can see her inviting Paige anyway.
  15. I don't actively dislike Budd and Budd's Girlfriend, I just don't find them interesting or funny. They're like dead air.
  16. I thought he was certainly more innovative that some of the others...but what was up with that skirt? It looked like there was something wrong with it in the front, like the front was longer or heavier or had more fabric or something. It was really lopsided. The way she glued those on reminded me of macaroni art. On an unrelated note, I really really really hate Valerie's nose ring. Too big to be unobtrusive, too small to make a serious statement. She constantly looks like she's got something coming out of her nose. I find myself touching my nose whenever she's on screen.
  17. Madeline, Madeline, Madeline. Nice girl, but some of her comments on instagram: "...they get to be graced with your presents for the next 18 months." Presents? Really? "sorry to waist your Instagram scrolling time." Waist your time? Waist your time. You're just messing with me, right? "everyone and there dog has a blog and now I do 2." "I was able to see the new apostles in person and hear there testimonies" "...your girls were so cute with there lemonade stand yesterday." Please. Please. Please learn the difference between their and there. Do it for me. She seems like a genuinely sweet person. But....ugh. I'm pretty sure homonyms and homophones are taught in elementary school. My hope is that she knows the difference and just couldn't be bothered to fix it. People are constantly screwing up they're/their/there and your/you're, but waist? Seriously? Mind. Blown. I can just imagine what the DCC applications look like these days. If this is an example of the age group auditioning for DCC, it is no wonder they don't allow members of the squad to write articles for the website anymore.
  18. I disagreed with quite a bit of what you said. Supa Peach's attitude sucked. Whether or not she openly denigrated anyone else, a 12 year old running around saying she's the best, she's better than anyone else, she's the real winner, is a pain in the butt. I don't Miss M was threatened, she was annoyed by this little punk kid running her mouth instead of being a gracious loser. I think it finally got to her and she let it out. Calling Peach a little Kanye was accurate, but no complement. She has no humility. No graciousness. She's one of those special little snowflakes that think they have no flaws and are annoying as hell to everyone around them. She did not win and she's not the best. There are plenty of things she needs to work on. Can she rap better than most people in her peer group? Probably. But she wasn't the best in this competition. Not to JD who saw more of her than any of the viewers and critiqued her plenty. If I were a professional, I wouldn't want to work with her or her mother, and if she is this arrogant at 12, she will be a complete monster by 18. Supa Peach IS wack.
  19. I like the broncos cheerleaders. That seems like a classy organziation. I'd hate to perform in those chaps though.
  20. That's a huge leap to think that mess of oxygen tubing would've turned out to be anything. He and Asha both have RBF. I will miss her obvious dislike for Zanna. She gave zero effs about anything Zanna had to say. I have no idea why she listened this time. And his opinion outweighed the other three judges? I don't think we can lay the blame entirely at his feet. I bet they all picked bandages because they thought they'd be easy to work with...so it was justice when they realized they were adhesive and therefore a pain in the butt. This was said a few times on the show and really bugged me. They made it sound like the designers did some fantastic technique to achieve the suede effect. No. They glued the bandages to muslin, and coincidentally, it looked like a sueded material. It seemed really weird to me that they were standing around watching while the designers were snatching up materials. Not even standing off to the side. They were right at the table while people were grabbing things. I don't remember seeing observers all all up in there in other UMCs. I read somewhere that most reality competition shows do best in seasons 2-3. After the first season is a sensation, really talented people come forward for the next one. By the end of season 3, everyone with enough talent to compete based on amazing skills realizes it's all producer-driven bull, and they're likely to be damaged by manufactured drama and exaggerated characterizations. Thus the people with sick talent stay far away. PR starting draining the dregs seasons ago. Design talent is optional. Now you just need to be able to sew well enough to produce a circle skirt or sleeveless shift. I thought the bandage dress underneath was weird too. Made the model look naked and wrinkly. Georgina was so full of it when she praised that dress. Why didn't anyone fix that? Surely it wasn't concave when they left the workroom? I understand there's nothing he could have done if the chest caved in while she was backstage. But as soon as the model walked out to stand next to him, Ken should've had her stick her hand in there and poke the bodice out.
  21. Do they usually choose the same person for vet of the year and pro bowl? Seems like it would be nice to spread it around a little. Let somebody else have it since Holly got the trip to Hawaii.
  22. I scrolled down and saw that she (Cristi) was a Detroit Pistons dancer, along with her friend Carly, and both plan to audition for DCC this year. I bet Dallas is a huge change from Detroit!
  23. I bet most of them know about it, but hardly any of them visit it. It only takes one or two visits to a message board where people who don't know you are saying uncomplimentary things about you to turn you off the idea of ever visiting again. I'm sure they have friends who tell them things about this board though. And it would not surprise me if Kelli didn't tell them during training camp to avoid places like this. I had a friend who was on a pro dance team and she said her director told them not to read about themselves on social media because the internet is a harsh place, and chances are, they'd either be creeped out or get their feelings hurt.
  24. Maybe Carla was there to add diversity to the mix? Or was that the year when they had a lot of AA girls? (I think they had Jackie, Jacie, Jenna, Jasmine, and Mia all in one year, didn't they?) I don't know what the population breakdown in Dallas is, but the DCC have rarely had what I would call a diverse squad. It's surprising for a cosmopolitan city. I don't know what all the girls on the team identify as, but 95% of them look Caucasian. And then they do 'makeovers' which ensures that they all look even more alike. I'm not one to wave the race flag and I don't think there needs to be any kind of quota, but I sure would like to see a more visually diverse squad. Are there no Asians or darker skin Latinas who can dance? Heck, I'd even take a blonde with straight hair and bangs like Megan Sharp. Teams like the Redskins, Dolphins, and Raiders are so much more beautiful to me because they have more variety. Anyway, with Jacie leaving (assuming she is), it will be interesting to see if there is an effort to bring more diversity into training camp this year. This might be the year for DeAmber and Whitney, two AA girls who have made it to finals before. I don't think that Asian girl from AA Ice Angels has the right look (I can't remember her name, she made it to finals one year) and sadly, I can't think of any other Asian girls in recent years. Maybe Karen (Latina) from last year will be back. I can't remember why they dismissed her from training camp, but I recall she was very young - and looked it.
  25. I'm sure Kelli gets more than her fair share of candidates who are as dumb as a bucket of rocks, but the girls who prepare for auditions months or even years in advance and have made it to finals more than once surely know how many yards are on a football field. I think they just choke.
