LOL! ETA: I think it's related to paternalism.

The really annoying thing is her saying MY girls, MY little Chandi, etc. Does anyone else find this extremely condescending? Almost like these women wouldn't exist without Jenner. Really bugs me.

I Shazam'd it, Henna Henna by Bombay Royale

I'm only watching until her socially responsible "friends" (Boylan, etc.) give up on her and walk away from the show. After that it will be just another shallow Kardashian spin-off.

There should be a few around. I can imagine people dying after leaving their babies locked in a room for safety. Then they don't come back and the babies die of dehydration or starvation. They should have found at least one of these scenarios by now. Show is chickening out I guess. This ain't HBO.

She snuck up on me over the years, but Carol evolved into my favourite character. If we lose her I don't know if I can continue the revolving wheel of misery this show is devolving into.

Couple questions: 1) Who were all those guys at the poker game? I got the impression they were supposed to be real people playing themselves. What was the point of a celebrity poker game? To prove Rossi has a bunch of famous friends? 2) What was the implication behind Morgan setting up his desk after staring at Erin's photo? Did he take over her job or something? Or was it just underscoring the parallel between them both being targeted for being part of the FBI? Specifically this unit.

Interesting. I've heard that the only way to truly know someone is to work with them, or live with them.
-
I really hope all this maudlin regret Carol appears poised to be going through isn't the writers' way of getting her to the same place That would suck.

It's not like it's only wrong if you get caught, so "in the clear" as far as he got away with it, yes. "In the clear" as far as he didn't actually do anything wrong, definitely not.

Howard may or may not have ulterior motives for having this discussion with Chuck, but man I loved his expression when Chuck asked that. It was like "Seriously, bitch, still with this?"

Yeah, the occasional explicit famewhore in each season was always the most irritating part for me. An entire cast of explicit famewhores? I'm leaning towards skipping it as well. I might check the first episode to see if anyone defies my expectations, but I'm not hopeful.

S10.E03: Mulder And Scully Meet The Were-Monster
Starchild replied to AntiBeeSpray's topic in The X-Files [V]
I did! Best part of the episode, followed closely by every scene with Scully in it. Especially the autopsy. -
I would show watch the Hotel Cortez show starring Liz Taylor forever! If Denis O'Hare doesn't win an Emmy for this, imma riot!

Mycroft didn't die in the books (or at least, it was never said that he did). If Mycroft dies in this series, it's pure Moffat/Gatiss. I'd hate to see it happen, because the interplay between them is always delightful, but M/G have said that this version of Sherlock is young and inexperienced, not a reflection of the man in the stories, but an earlier version who still needs to grow up. One way to effect that growing up is to kill off the older brother he still relies on so much. But I'd hate to see that. I'm not entirely sure I could keep watching. :(
-
What's NOT canon is the animosity between the Holmes brothers. Mycroft doesn't show up very much, but when he does, Sherlock shows nothing but respect for him. I wouldn't go so far as to say there's affection between them (this is Victorian England after all), but Sherlock acknowledges Mycroft's superior intellect and even accepts instruction from him in the science of deduction with absolutely no sign of resentment.

All you people talking about foreshadowing of Mycroft's death can just stop that right now. Please.

So far, Asylum is the only season I've purchased. Unless it all falls apart in the finale, I'll be buying this one too.

!'m not sure why it's a plot hole that we haven't seen everyone who died in the hotel come back as a ghost. Just because we haven't seen them doesn't mean they're not there. We've only seen the ones that will impart information to the audience and/or further a story line in some way. Otherwise, I assume they're wandering around getting used to their new situation. I don't need to see Sally's drug couple or the hipsters to understand that they're very likely to be hotel ghosts. I do wonder about Tristan though. I would have thought he and Liz would at least commiserate over their lost potential.

Mark my words: when we get a male companion, it will mean they are about to regenerate the Doctor into a woman. Because NuWho just can't have a Doctor-Companion relationship that is not opposite sexed, it seems.

Guys, why am I feeling some affection for Chris and Logan? They kind of remind me of real people instead of media personalities or wanna-be actors. I'm glad Justin lost, but I kind of wish Chris and Logan won. Because they were the underdogs maybe?

Saw this in the recap: I got the impression she didn't know what happened to Valentino, only that he disappeared. She only realized that March was behind it after they finally came out of the wall.
-
OMG can Liz Taylor get her own show, please?!

Anyone else thinking that Peggy will kill Ed when he tries to drag her back in to reality? She won't die though, she'll be arrested.

I think folks missed my earlier question so I will repeat and hope one of you knows the answer: He said something after drawing that line in the sand while facing down the hovering ship, but I missed it. Does anyone remember what he said?
