  1. That's the thing though. To an outsider, it totally appears that her mom was trying to calm her down. But her mom knew good and well what Monica's reaction would be when she stepped in and what it would look like to everyone watching. She had no intention of preventing the spectacle. She wanted to toss lighter fluid on it. All of this. Monica was very much in the wrong for taking Angie's bait and escalating and then taking her mom's bait and escalating more. But her mom wanted Monica to look bad while she looked like the savior.
  2. Monica's mom smirking at the end told me everything I needed to know. She triggers the fuck out of me because she's exactly like my mother. The revisionist history regarding the shit parenting, yet pretending to be mother of the millenia in public (which is what all that apologizing and stepping in was about), and acting like Monica is stopping her from having fun (when Monica removed herself to get away from her), all while ignoring why Monica is actually upset with Angie and with her. I just can't. However, I will say, I would NEVAH talk to my mom like that in public, shit, even in private, cause despite being in my 40s, I am still from a Caribbean household and I would get the shit slapped out of me! Getting back to Angie. She's another one that's full of shit. Angie: This is not the place for this conversation. But you initiated it. Angie: I wish you had pulled me off to the side and told me. But that's exactly what she did. Now if Angie had stayed focused on, I wish you hadn't repeated it to anyone else after you told me, I'd have no issues. But Angie didn't care about any of that until Lisa told her she should. And it's the same shit like last season. She was BFFs with Jenn until she saw that being on the opposite side would ingratiate her more with other folks in the group. She's so damn fake. There's no way my son would be a whole ass married man for a year, in secret, and him and his spouse are living in my house for free. Nope!
  3. It was only the first season. Maybe the second season. But after that, they just said
  4. Bad Girls Club was actually a spinoff of Starting Over! Anyone remember that? It was the show where Iyanla actually started out on. The original idea was that they would gather these girls with bad attitudes and tempers, and give them therapy, similar to what they did on Starting Over. But the arts and crafts shit that worked on SO did not work with these ladies, and they decided to just scratch the therapy bits and let them do what they do, which is cause drama and fight! This show looks like a hot ass mess. And I thought they were all so dumb to just let Omarosa walk away with the win, just because. If there's anyone they shouldn't want in power, it should be her. Although I did chuckle when she told Corinne to google her and Corrine started crying as she walked up the stairs. Uhm....there's no crying in the House of Villains!!!!
  5. I created a topic for Little Bird in Other Dramas. Please take all additional conversations specifically about that show there.
  6. Jenard: Let me send this DM to The Shade Room real quick. When Diamond asks Gianna out to dinner, I said to the TV, she hongry for something alright and it's not dinner!
  7. Fessy: I think Josh would do well in a final. Me: According to what exactly! This! Fessy is the worst friend. He treated his partner (was it Moriah) so awfully when she prioritized herself and her team over him. Yet, he ONLY ever prioritized himself and always does. I was glad to see Josh in the elimination and to see him go (because it's Josh), but man oh man did I want to see Johnny down there for his fucking hypocriticalness! We've seen Johnny, time and time again, stab people in the back (as opposed to what he said to Makailah about only ever stabbing in the chest) to secure his spot. But now, how dare anyone else do it to him. The self-righteousness and indignation from him, especially now that his status has effectively dropped, folks aren't scared to vote for him, and he's getting a taste of his own medicine, is astounding. And his constant, "What's wrong with you people?!?" to both Josh and Tori....I wanted to throw a chair at him. A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square. (One of the few things I remember from Geometry!) So they should have had to count rectangles....but then the game would never be over.
  8. Same. I actually stopped what I was doing to pay attention. No one said it would be *her* fruitful reign..... I wish that instead of declaring Elizabeth barren after her "I would nevah!!!!" speech, they would have instead said, "we'll see." Then in a future ep we can come back to Elizabeth, this time early in her reign but having to deal with an unplanned, out of wedlock pregnancy, resulting in her being a hypocrite and making the same deal to not lose her monarchy, then resulting in her barrenness, but a great and long reign. I mean, this shit writes itself!
  9. Exactly why shows like these, created by and/or engaging people from those cultures and communities in the production and execution are so important. I wasn't aware of this show either. Will definitely check it out. I'm already missing the greatness that was Reservation Dogs. Hope to see more from this team in the future.
  10. Who the heck asked for them to bring Holly back?!?!?!? Ghost or not, keep her off my screen. Was excited for Tommy and Mireya sexy times, but it was real boring. And what was Mireya doing with all the posing? And oop, Tommy told ghost Holly that he's in love. Guess that mean Mireya will be lucky if she makes it to the next season. So Jenard detoxed from heroin in less than 8 hours????? And his girlfriend is great with the Queen Ramonda "remind them who you are" speech, but she can't really be serious about trying to steal a drug empire with a junkie as her partner. The US Attorney's plan for Vic makes no sense. She's trying to take down the entire illegal drug complex in the city, but she's going after Tommy instead of "Dublin" which has had the majority share of the game for decades, the Serbs, and the Mexicans, both of whom kill off anybody and everybody who coughs in their direction. Tommy is literally the bottom of the barrel. Yeah he's been able to make moves, cause folks are dumb and he's not rational, but no one trusts him. So busting Tommy isn't going to help take down anyone except for Diamond and CBI. Imma need these writers to start scripting things that make sense. OT: I rewatched Revenge this past week, and guess who showed up? A youngish Walter Flynn! Playing the same type of character.
  11. When doesn't Miguel overreact?????? Kendall could have sneezed on her without covering his mouth and Miguel would have cut off his nose in response.
  12. Currently rewatching. Damn did this remind me how much I hated Jack! He vacillates between being level headed to being so damn irrational all the time. Too bad he didn't die instead of Amanda. She was crazy, but at least she was consistent and entertaining. And definitely never enough Nolan.
  13. I managed to to not cry during the entire episode. And then they finally got me in the last 2 minutes. So sad that we only got 3 seasons, but what a beautiful 3 seasons it was. Great finale. Will definitely miss this one.
  14. Finding the McFish at the bottom of that bag was the most excited/the happiest I think we've ever seen Mary. Evah! Mary with her McFish, fries, and McNuggets: Who knew that all it would take to get genuine joy out of her was a trip to MickyDs!
  15. This! Also, they gave Alyssa so much time to the ending package and I was like, nobody here cares about her! I was thinking the same thing. Wes also said as much in his People interview. If Josh is worried about people who can beat him, he needs to take out everyone!
  16. Love Wes being Wes, especially when he's trashing Josh!
  17. Her gym is also floating most of his business. Everyone's giving out government names now, huh! 😂
  18. She was smart enough to keep Tommy's name out of her mouth! This episode did a good job of reminding us viewers that Tommy is a fucking psycho! I felt from the lines and acting that they very heavily implied that she was lying and both hot detective and his wife knew it (yeah, I don't remember either of their names). That's why he pushed on her to be truthful and she pushed on her to double down on the lie. That's also why the wife thought she could coerce her into placing Tommy there too. Mireya sure did fall for Tommy real quick. What happened to her rule of not dating people in her brother's business? This will not end well for either of them. Jenard is spiraling! Also, how he let those 4 dudes just walk away after not following his orders AND kicking his ass?!?!?! He's a bad drug boss. He got no business being in charge.
  19. Not to be a Mary defender, cause I can't stand her, but it was probably sunscreen that gave her that bluish tint. This was pure gold. Cause you could see Heather sitting off to side looking like she just wanted to die and Mary said her name and she popped right up to share that it was "predator" and then her head wobbled right on back down. I was done!
  20. First time hearing that someone else was prioritized over Chris Pratt to die! 😂 Ethan Hawke is one of my favorite actors. And I also loved him here. Glad Elora got to meet him and her siblings, and that she now has a connection in the "big city" for when she goes to college. I also adored the counselor! I couldn't stop laughing during that entire scene, especially while he was singing the 49 song with the hair flips!
  21. Someone mentioned upthread that the books where the uncle is the main character are tied to shows on Netflix:
  22. If they were able to sell before the announcement of his death, then they would be the ones making the most profit.
  23. He sold it for 60 cents on the dollar, but Travis had his reddit friends purchase the crypto from whomever Sebastian sold it. As more and more people purchase, the price of crypto increases. So the intermediary bought at 60 cents each, but probably sold at $1-5 or more and made a heck more of a profit than Sebastian did.
