Yeah, I didn't mind the scene because there was no bad guy there. Sally was trying to be sweet but Hope was in no condition to accept it. As much as I hate this storyline, I think the Hope and Liam parts of it are pretty well written. I really like that they gave Wyatt and Hope a moment to share the loss they suffered together. And honestly, Liam trying to support her but also draw her out a little is good. It's the "good guy" Liam is supposed to be. Watching him flail about for what to do because his wife is in a hole of grief so deep he can't get to her is 1 million times better than his normal waffling (which I'm sure will come along soon enough but I'll take the break while I can).

Considering the fact we were close to getting the Dollar Tree Accessory Wall in the previous version, anything would be an improvement. But I did love the cute moment of Christian noting one of his own designs there.

There was a scene at the Catalina hospital of Dr. Shady comforting a hospital employee about something unspecified, but he said things like "there was nothing you could have done" or "it wasn't your fault" so presumably there was another baby who did actually die, that he just pretended was Beth from the beginning. Since Hope was unconscious and Liam wasn't there yet, there isn't anyone else who ever actually saw the real Beth right after she was born. Now, none of this explains how or why he managed to hatch this very specific and weird plan, or how he strolled out of the hospital and off the island with a child, but they did make some effort.

My god, Steffy is so self-centered. How can she even think to ask Liam to meet a baby girl when he can barely even mention Beth without breaking down? This is all so disgusting and pointlessly cruel.

Yup to this. Also for those thinking of picking up the books: Generally I liked this a lot. The first book in this series is one of my favorites from the past few years so I was nervous about the show but it seems like they're getting the good stuff in there. And I think MPG and the girl who plays Amy are great together.

I can't decide what the worse possibility is here. Now that Dr. Shady has shown Taylor the baby from his hotel bathrool, what's she going to think? Coincidentally he came across a completely unrelated baby on the ferry back from Catalina? She's nuts, not stupid. But the alternative is even worse. Are they going to let Taylor play along and buy Hope's stolen baby for her own daughter? There's no result here that isn't awful.

Yeah, this was actually good writing. Everyone mourns differently, plus Liam is just trying to do something/anything (imagine that!)

Here's the handholding without all the sad stuff to ruin the moment. Make this "assholes in love" happen, show.

Agreed about the acting. SC and AN did a wonderful job. On the rare occasion that SC gets some actual work to do he's very good and it makes me even more angry that they leave Liam to be a useless stale waffle most of the time. AN isn't the strongest actress but I thought she did really well with Hope's emotional rollercoaster and slow realization.

This would be a great way for the story to go. I want this version.

As much as the setup for it was stupid, I am enjoying this birth story. As long as I pretend Catalina is basically Gilligan's Island it's fun and dramatic. Hope terrified and alone except for Dr Wayne Shady. A mysterious sad patient. A useless Liam (ha! as if there is any other kind) - though I'd prefer him in a rowboat instead of trying to get Bill's copter (wear a vest, Waffles, that thing tends to tip over)

I really enjoyed this. I agree that one scary Dalek was wonderful (and it helps make them scary when zillions don't show up every five minutes to be vanquished). It was a lovely rounding out of Ryan's story without his dad dying to "earn" forgiveness. I very much hope this resolution makes space for a lot more Yaz next series.

Right now I'm just kind of shocked how little of Terra we're getting on the show, especially this close to the end. It just seems like a strange storytelling decision.

Yeah, the idea of Steffy nursing a baby she hasn't given birth to is the least weird part of this storyline.

Yeah, having his scenes with HTy can't be helping. Between her "acting" and whatever her face looks like close up now, I'm sure it would be distracting for anyone.

I love how sad Saint Steffy the Cousin Killer is about Hope ruining their happy family getting along perfection when she's the one who keeps throwing Hope and Liam's marriage in her face everytime Hope disagrees with her about anything. It happened with the stupid fashion line drama and again with Taylor. "I'm an independent woman who is above all this pettiness - as long as everyone does exactly what I want."

She only successfully killed one cousin. Any attempts against Ivy are totally separate issues!

I don't think Hope is being unreasonable. Taylor flew into town, walked into Bill's house and shot him in the back. And for all Steffy's talk about the "intensive therapy" she's been getting, Taylor has spent a week screeching and ranting to anyone in her path about how terrible and evil Brooke and Hope are. And she's admitted to being tempted to drink. That's not someone I'd let near my child at all. Not because she'd want to hurt a child but because when you're that unhinged collateral damage is very likely. Or what if she sees one of her "enemies" out a window and leaves a baby alone to go confront them. Anything is possible.

Brooke really does need to mind her own business. But I see where all of this is going. When Taylor's crazy hurts someone it won't be her fault. It'll be Brooke for hounding her and Dr. Wayne Brady for taking advantage of her. And of course, Saint Steffy the Innocent was just enabling supporting her mother - all she did was try to murder someone. No biggie.

She should spend more time trying an acting technique other than scowling, and less time addressing "haters"
