Jinger got a pretty nice magazine spread and publicity (to go along with her prop, Felicity). If anyone would like to read and/or see the People article, just let me know. My copy arrived Friday. I should be able to post it mid-late evening.

I haven't started my drink tour yet, but I'm ready to use the toolkit I bought Mr. Six and smack him with them. He's on vacation for 12 days and doesn't go back to work until next Tuesday. Dog help me. Our two kittens and the old man had vet appointments this week, and everyone got a clean bill of health. Barring any emergencies, we don't have to go back until August. It was a beautiful and sunny 54 today. Even though we have rain coming, we stay warm. Between Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve, our temps are supposed to rise at least 50 degrees. I hope those of you getting hit with severe weather stay safe!

Thank you all for the kindness & support on my last post. As far as I know, there were no injuries, and it appears the house on the left is habitable already. That is my single most rational fear. I wish the family peace in the coming new year. Our holiday weekend was much too stressful. I spent my entire Saturday sick and mostly in bed. At first, I thought it was a stomach virus, but it turned out, it was just a nasty POTS day for me. Unfortunately, my body likes to deal with extreme pain by giving me nausea. My mom & inlaws set out at 930am Sunday to make the drive. We knew they would be stopping at least once (gotta get that free coffee!), but it took them 5 hours to make it down. The roads in their area were so nasty and snow/ice covered, but they were able to travel behind a plow train, which helped a bit. They left around 930am this morning, and with one stop, my mom was home around 115pm. Mr. Six also found out his car needs a new transmission, so we are down to one car for the unforeseeable future. Thankfully, he's on vacation this week, but I don't like being at home carless with four cats. I think I'm ready for 2022 to be over, but I'm sure I'm looking forward to 2023 yet. Instead of drinking my way around Epcot with @Ohiopirate02, I'm just going to drink my way around my house. I have Mike's Hard Lemonade in Apple Pear if anyone wants to join me!

Baltimore has lucked out once again. We had nearly 2 inches of rain, but it completely stopped before the big temperature drop, so we never got the ice or snow. Parts of the street are a bit icy, but nothing we can't handle. We do have some errands to run tomorrow, but we're mainly getting things ready for our parents arrival. We're currently sitting at 9F; our parents are at -3F. I fully expect to find all 4 cats in our bed tonight. They're not stupid 😉 If you are in the praying/good thought arena, please include 3 families that live on the street above us. We heard a ton of sirens yesterday, which is a very common occurrence. Except these sirens got close and stopped. I opened the door to find at least 6 fire trucks up there. The middle house was on fire with smoke just pouring out the front and back windows. As far as I know, there were no injuries, and our temps were in the mid-40s, so ice wasn't a factor for the firefighters. I want to find out who lives there, and see what Mr. Six & I can do to help them. The response was insanely quick, but my heart just breaks for all of the families involved.

There needs to be a class on how to make friends and how to end friendships as adults. As a kid, it's easy. Your parents can handle it for you, and that's that. It's even harder when the relationship is with a family member. Chances on, you're going to be seeing said family members at certain points, and making a scene is not an option when grandma passes away. I went through a few issues with my mom and Mr. Six at Thanksgiving. He doesn't understand why I don't want to go back to our hometown, and I don't expect him to. After I lost my dad, something changed in me, and being there is just a slap in the face. My in-laws are both still living, so he hasn't dealt with that type of death/loss yet. My mom, in turn, tried to make the TG holiday hers. We opted to just stay one night, instead of the two we used to, and we chose to stay in a hotel. You would have thought I bought her an animal and then ran it over. My health is not the best, and I need to be around my hubby the most since he knows what's going on .without me saying a word. We spent the actual holiday with his side of the family, who I love to pieces. But, I know I was not myself, and I can only hope I hid it well enough. For fuck's sake, this post was not supposed to be my emotional baggage dump. Right now, only 6 people know about what's really going on and my full diagnosis. But, I keep most of it to myself. I just can't bring myself to open up, even though I know I will have amazing support from friends and family. Adulting is just hard some times... @lookeyloo-your grand dog is adorable! Thanks for sharing his picture!

She may have an "unshakeable personal brand" but if she doesn't get control over her kid, she's going to one with a ton of holes.

Not that I would want to, but I'm able to post on Twit's IG. Her last post was 5 days ago, and she has been responding to some comments here and there.

I got the perfect sweater Joy could wear in her shilling videos-- I was going to wear this to our family's Thanksgiving lunch this year, but my husband thought it was a bit "too much" since everyone is Catholic.

I didn't read the post you quoted and initially thought you were talking about the deer. **Note to self-read everything in the box.**

It might stem from multiple police agencies across the country announcing that the thefts were occurring, and then proceeding to tell everyone how it's happening. It's on older models that have a key ignition (push starts are ok), and all it takes is a USB cable. Some times, reporting the news can back fire 😏. @Spazamanaz-Wishing you peace & guidance in your journey. You will be in my thoughts. @zoomama-Your quilt is stunning! My MIL is a big fan of Amish quilts, and I can't even imagine the time and talent it takes.

Thanks, all. I'm still struggling most days, but I really think it's more related to my POTS as opposed to Covid. Mr. Six is doing great and seems to have no lasting effects. I also have a strange question to ask. Our next door neighbor is moving next week. We really like her and have enjoyed having her next door. I wanted to get her a gift to let her know how much she'll be missed, but I didn't want something that would just take up space. I was thinking about a gift card to a gas station since it's useful and won't take up space. What are some popular gas stations along the east coast? She'll be driving by herself (and two cats) from Baltimore to Florida along I-95. Thanks!!

@ginger90-congratulations to your entire family!! So happy to hear everything went well. We've had a couple of trying hard weeks in our household. I have been lurking, but I'm just now getting into posting again. Mr. Six had a conference in Indiana at the end of September, and while he got a few nice goodies, he also got Covid. Two days before he returned home, I was at Patient First getting diagnosed with cellulitis. My neck and cheek were swollen about 4 times the size they should have been. And, one week after him testing positive for Covid, I tested positive. I was out of it for 2 weeks, and I still have some lingering symptoms. My mom was visiting while he was away, and thankfully, she didn't get sick. Getting Covid has made my POTS symptoms amplified, and my pain levels have been through the roof with very little relief. I'm officially done with 2022.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
sixlets replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
We'll go along with the "insider" here, but this comment--“Josh doesn’t want Anna and their kids moving away from his family” because “he thinks it will create too much of a disconnection” for her and the kids, the insider adds. “Josh can’t raise his kids from prison and he’s afraid of outside influences.”--really pisses me off. Josh is in prison. Josh doesn't get an opinion right now. And he's afraid of 'outside influences'? He should really be afraid of people like him. People who prey on children. People who hurt children in the dark and in front of others. Whether he likes it or not, he will now be labeled a child predator, and he deserves all of the attention that comes along with it. -
Always take Social Blade with a grain of salt, but this link shows E&C YouTube channel and estimated earnings. YT isn't so much about subscriber count but overall engagement of a upload. The more time (general) you spends watching/interacting, the more money the creator can make. And earnings are based on 1000 views, so for folks that don't even get that many, they will make pennies, if anything at all. Do I think Carlin is sick? I don't know. But, I will say as a "zebra", having the medical community not know what is wrong is frustrating, and it can lead to a whole other host of problems. I totally understand their reasoning for putting her episodes on video, but I don't agree with posting them. Share it with your doctor? Yes. Share it to the world? No.

To our Jilly, Greek is a salad and Hebrew is a brand of hotdogs. Growing up AOG, I had dipped my toes in the KJV as a child when attending the church's elementary school. I'm sure it makes them feel superior to others, but you don't see many folks use their bible preference to win a fight. She corrected someone on calling the tracts a business, and said it was a 'ministry'. Wonder how the Lord, let alone the IRS, feel about that one.

According to the highly prestigious Sun, Nurie was at the shower. (Pic included for those not wishing to click the link) And on a different note, have these people never heard of an airplane? For the amount of money they spent driving from Ohio to Florida, they could have saved themselves a few bucks and fed their children. Jill and Co. need to do something with all of that GFM money...

Thanks for the all of the toaster recommendations. I've written them all down and will do some research in the coming weeks. Normally, I love appliance shopping, but I've been dragging my feet with the toaster. The 2-bottle prep is still available under the brand name Clenpiq. It looks like they offer a coupon that can be used as a lot of insurance companies won't cover it. https://www.clenpiq.com/. One of the YouTubers I watch had the option of using it, and she said it was a lot more tolerable than the others.

On the topic of appliances, can someone recommend a good toaster? The heating elements in ours are slowly dying, and it's at least 10 years old. I need a 4-slice with a bagel button. We do have a Breville air fryer/microwave/oven combo, so I just need a standalone toaster. Thanks!

I cannot get past this line. It's just so...weird. No offense to anyone who does this. I just don't understand it. Maybe it's a regional thing? Maybe is just a Noyseseses thing? Jill is such a bitch. I give her until Monday evening to post a pic of Mommy Turtleneck in the hospital walla Pa Caldwell. And apparently, sweet Amy is joyless under normal circumstances according to Jill. She managed to hit all of the sweet spots in hopes of donations. I do hope Wayne finds his coat though.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
sixlets replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
As evidenced by recent events (and those dating back to the inception of the show), I would say very little is going on in his head. And what little might be there is held together with enough Aquanet to kill us all a hundred times over. -
@BetyBee-so glad everything went well for you! Speaking of colonoscopies (and as @libgirl2 mentioned), there was a story on ABC or CBS a few years ago about Cologuard and insurance claims. People who were cleared by their doctor to do Cologuard would send everything back and then get a letter stating they needed to follow up with their prescriber. They would have the visit, and the same doctor would try to do the colonoscopy and find it rejected by the insurance (Medicare and private both) since they considered Cologuard their 'standard colonoscopy'. These people were not only having to go through the prep and procedure, but then they were getting bills for $25,000+ by their insurance. It's infuriating that insurance companies can get away with this crap...😉

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

... My heart aches for the M&Ms. With the exception of Maryella and Madyson, the kids will have some recollection and memories of Josh. To have your dad there one day, and gone the next, with little to no explanation, is horrible. To lose a parent to illness or accident is tragic. But kids are resilient when it comes to their resolve, and with time and proper care, they can find a new normal. Josh did this to himself. He took himself away from his home and out of his children's lives. You cannot explain it away. And kids have the innate ability to make everything their own fault. So, congrats Jim Bob & Michelle. You did such a great job with your children that now your grandchildren will spend their entire childhood blaming themselves for 'daddy leaving'. All because you didn't take the correct action, at the time, to get him the help he, and the girls, clearly needed. You not only ruined the lives of your other 18 children, you took 7 more innocent kids along for the ride. If there is a hell, there's a special place for the two of you in it. And, I hope it's on a blanket. -
