S01.E10: The Mark of the Poisoner's Pearl
AnimeMania replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Nancy Drew (2019)
If the test results are not real, then Owen was probably trying to get someone on his side that would tell he the truth about what happened to the gold coins. -
Yeah, Jake was so fat. How fat was he? He made up a entire row of the Marching Band. Yeah, Jake was so fat. How fat was he? He had to wear his tuba like a necklace.

I hate that this crossover smushed all the Earths, now there are meta-humans, Green Light meta-humans, Doppelgangers from other earths, aliens, and whatever is going on with the DC Universe streaming shows all in the same world. So did Kara really say that Brainy's mama put that planet in a jar because his father didn't love her or was I extra extrapolating. So Lex said all the Kasnia stuff happened, but nobody hated him for it. What about the Red Sun stuff, just water under the bridge? The stupid planet in a bottle stuff hurt my brain, it was so stupid. If they are so connected why couldn't they sense which Brainy was killing the others? Why were the witches so willing to open the bottle one second, then thinking this is the stupidest idea they have ever heard the next second?

I thought it was interesting that the alien's teeth looked like if you took your teeth, turned them upside down, and put them back in your mouth. I am surprised that the confiscated alien blaster wasn't used for their defense. Not the bestest, but I think it hit all the points it was aiming at.

Maybe they can throw that huge ass grand piano out the airlock at the proper angle to get back on course.

S01.E02: God Complex
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt For The Bone Collector [V]
He is a Forensic Science Technician in the state of Colorado. His lab is in his house, so his wife thinks he is chopping up dead bodies all day in his dungeon/laboratory. The only problem is he is also chopping up a few live ones as well. -
Surfing the web and saw this: The Boondocks HBO Max Aaron MacGruder's hilarious Adult Swim anime-inspired staple is getting rebooted for HBO's streaming service on a two-season order and a 50-minute special. Details are light, but we do know that Granddad and his grandsons, Riley and Huey, will have to deal with the neo-Nazis that have established a tyrannical regime in their comfortable suburb. The Boondocks never tiptoed around its bold leftist and racial politics, and we can't wait to see what's in store with MacGruder back as showrunner after stepping away from Season 4

S01.E02: God Complex

So the murderer was the person who painted the pictures right. That part went by pretty fast, but since they didn't have any other suspects, I think I am right. -
How can the father be watching the kids and not know the severity of her medical condition. You would think they would have a "Go" bag ready. They are in a hurry to get to the hospital and you are in your room chanting instead of making sure they are getting ready. One thing the show does well is let the evil guys lose in a satisfying way. I loved the self-inflicted incel and Kristen deflated Leland most satisfactorily. The show moved into fantasy when a white woman saw a black woman in her neighborhood and didn't call 911. David can't catch a "break", Leland takes a consult with his mentor.

S01.E10: The Mark of the Poisoner's Pearl
AnimeMania replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Nancy Drew (2019)
Since Nancy knew the White Baneberry was the poison, she should have gotten the antidote to save the victim before confronting the killer. As the poisonous smoke filled the room, I was too distracted by the two windows letting in all the light. If only Nancy could break them and let in some fresh air. There appeared to be a chain link fence over there so maybe she could not reach the windows, although she never made any effort. I liked this episode a little better since Nancy did use her brain to detect something. Ryan Hudson found another item that could prove his father sunk the ship for the insurance. Will he share with Owen. I thought it was funny that Nancy asks a poisoner to poison her and then someday shows up on her doorstep with a bag of food. -
My favorite Fred Willard was with Martin Mull on Fernwood 2 Night.

She played a Bond Girl type, in the Austin Powers movie, so she was a "Power Girl"?

Give that money to Elon Musk so the floating pod would actually work.... Just make sure you don't ask Elon Musk to make a dancing Baby Yoda. -
LSSC: Season Five Episode Talk

Bernie Sanders should have told Elizabeth Warren that I beat that Republican so bad, another one hasn't stepped to me in 30 years. -
It is definitely not that chip, since Piper removed hers ages ago and she is still 10x the "Humabot" of the rest of those posers.

They just added another layer of impossible on top of all the other layers of impossible they have been feeding us. It is impossible to build a complex machine and then 15 years later have another person build the exact same machine with improvements without any knowledge of the first machine.

I didn't like that Carly wanted to confront Shaun at work. She knows that Shaun is Shaun and she could have easily done that at home. It seemed very unprofessional.

LSSC: Season Five Episode Talk
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Late Show With Stephen Colbert
The Tina performance although technically nice, lacked the Tina Tuner style. If she had performed the dance of a Jane Fonda video on Fast-Forward, it might have been more obvious that the performance was too slow and was missing the labored, controlled breathing that is the hallmark all of Tina's performances. -
I thought Carly instead of kicking out Lea should have asked Shaun to move in with her. They need to be more comfortable around each other and Shaun needs to see Carly as just another flawed human. This would force them to talk to each other, get to know each other, and learn to compromise. There should be more than enough evidence to find Luca. They should have Video, DNA, and probably fingerprints. Since he and a friend (should be more than enough evidence to find them to) were able to break into the securest of areas without being caught, the hospital needs to review their security procedures.

They are really overpowered, Superboy, Raven, Starfire, Krypto and Wonder Girl should be able to handle almost any threat. Can Superboy fly?

Magnum P.I. (2018) - General Discussion
AnimeMania replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Magnum P.I. (2018)
Not too bad an episode. Strange things: There was a car crash, but no airbags deployed, maybe because hit from the side? Magnum didn't whip out his gun, maybe wasn't carrying one in the office scenes, but he definitely should have had one in his car. It would have been funny if Magnum made TC wear an arm sling after his crash to make Higgins feel guilty about lying about her shoulder, when she confesses there is nothing wrong, TC says the same.
