The Witcher: Blood Origin In The Media
AnimeMania replied to Meredith Quill's topic in The Witcher: Blood Origin
Jodie Turner-Smith Exits ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ Netflix Limited Series Due To Scheduling Issue Jodie Turner-Smith (shown here waving bye-bye) no longer has the lead role as an elite warrior named Éile, who possesses the voice of a goddess. She left the production. Luckily production hasn't started yet for the 6 episode series. -
Supernovae are the last stage in a star's life cycle and this episode was about elderly people coping with being in the same stage. All the episode titles have referred to the episode's content in some way. It about old folks going out with a bang, the old guy at the end had a renewed vigor about what little time he had left. No wonder STDs are on the rise in old folk homes, go out with a bang, Supernova Style.

The viewpoint of this show is Un-American, in America whenever you borrow money from someone, you pay it back, regardless of who that person is, not have that person thrown in prison so that you don't have to pay the money back. That is just as bad as getting a credit card, maxing it out, and then declaring bankruptcy. The lesson should be, not to borrow money from loan sharks. What if Mei Li had borrowed the money from one of those Pay Day Loan places, which as just as bad as loan sharks, what would have happened then. Mei Li, if the rent goes up, you have to charge the customers more, not take out a loan and wish that the business is going to improve. If I was Tony Kang and I saw the Chen family spending all those thousands of dollars on a wedding instead of trying to pay back my loan, I would have been as mad as Donald Duck on one of his worst tirades. Look at this place, it should have been called Harmony Dump instead of Harmony Dumplings, what did they spend that 50,000 dollars on? Nobody even looks like they might contempt going inside that rat hole. Overall I enjoyed the show, I don't know how beating everybody up in the neighborhood is going to make things better, but it has been done before. What I wish would happen in the future, Nicky Chen brings over her displaced Shaolin Monk sisters to America and starts a small female warrior army to patrol the streets. Now that is a TV show I would watch.

The most unbelievable part of the episode is that an American can over stay their (at most) 2 month visit to China by 3 years and then hop on a plane back to America. She would be rotting away as a spy in a Chinese prison. So the plot of this show is to find the 8 magical weapons that will allow you to rule the world.

Lady: I happen to know you have stronger Debris that can access communication frequencies. Why would you want this one? Maddox: Because it works. Lady: Is that the only reason? The spinning top wasn't part of the alien debris, it was a way to prove that this was the real alien artifact. The alien artifact was under the spinning top.
-
I think Maddox is covertly getting that alien tech so that he can talk to his son, since it is a communication device. All the tech shown so far would be a great boon to long distance space travel and colonization.
-
Wow, I am salivating, I really need to get my hands on that alien tech. I run a sweatshop, imagine if everybody could work until they were 103 and they could never leave the building or they would die! The future can't get here fast enough.

S01.E03: I Want This Thing Out of My Head
AnimeMania replied to peachmangosteen's topic in Made For Love
This show is about the 1% of the 1% in America, which is probably like 6 people. I can't even relate to their problems or situations. It seems like the richest man in America just kidnapped the woman who became his wife after the first date. He locked her in a cube and put a chip in her head to monitor her every movement. I find Hazel's treatment of Herringbone disturbing and not the least bit funny. I don't know how I am supposed to feel sympathetic to what Hazel is going through. It seems like Hazel should be able to renegotiate her life now that she has the chip implanted, so she can go out into the world and enjoy that vast fortune that she has. Byron would probably be happy just to watch her try new things and find out what truly makes her happy. Bryon can monitor her and guide/encourage her towards what makes her happy. I am pretty sure that I won't enjoy anything that happens in this series. I think focusing on the father and his sex doll would make a more compelling story, especially if it was a sex robot that could move and talk, now that could be a great comedy. "Wrong Port, Wrong Port, Wrong Port!!!!, I'm just kidding, give it to me Daddy!" The whole story seems off because Hazel is not a willing participant and doesn't love Byron. It would be a way more compelling story if they were a normal couple who were in love and wanted to be as close as possible to each other and they get the matching chips. The trouble could come from knowing too much about what your significant other thinks or feels about every single situation. Does this dress make me look fat? Were you looking at another woman? Not tonight I have a headache. Let's go visit my parents. I think you will really like this movie. How did you like my cooking? It's your turn to do the dishes. -
I don't see how it was against the law since she had a key and the guy invited her to move in.
-
I don't see what the problem is, she had parental supervision.
-
She would have had better luck killing herself by turning on the GPS and following it to the letter.
-
I really don't think Harry was ever in the CIA, I think it is more likely he was hunted by the CIA and Robyn faked his death in exchange for him staying off the radar and never being on the wrong side of the law again.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Just googled: UNOPENED insulin stored in the refrigerator is good until the expiration date printed on the insulin box. The expiration date will usually be one year from the date of purchase. It seemed like the doctor bought two boxes of insulin for himself. He probably then split his insulin box so that he had some at home and at work. He probably did the majority of the injections at work since he had trained nurses to do the injections and to notice if anything went wrong. (So why was he alone when something went wrong?) You can tell which bottle he was currently using since the bottles all have blue caps except one. Each bottle may contain 10 daily doses. The doctor might require 37 bottles a year. There were 25 bottles per box. In the partial box, there were 8 unopened bottles with blue caps and one open bottle with no cap. HarryHuman picked an unopened bottle to poison. This means that the doctor should have died in less than 80 days, unless he used some of the insulin from home, do small town doctors get days off? I am not sure how that sync's up to the 5 month ago timeline in the story, since we don't know how long HarryAlien has been sitting around learning to be human by watching TV. Do they say how long ago HarryAlien crashed on Earth, I remember Asta saying she saw HarryAlien's spaceship crash at the Alien Convention, I am not sure if she said how long ago that was. If HarryHuman just picked a bottle at random, that means he was in no hurry to kill the doctor. I don't understand HarryHuman's leisurely pace for murder. I don't understand why HarryHuman's wife didn't come looking for him earlier, since HarryHuman had been gone for months. I also wonder about the old pickup truck, it seems like a weird vehicle for a doctor (or anyone) to drive.

It shouldn't be too hard to change Craig's name, just a trip to the courthouse and file a few forms.. And it shouldn't be too hard for Craig Jr. to have you both declared insane, just a trip to the Mental Institution and file a few forms stating that you changed his name because of a 3rd rate TV show.

The Umbrella Academy in the Media
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy: Tom Hopper Talks S03 Filming, Scripts & More Not a lot here, filming has started for Season 3 and is going a lot slower because of COVID protocols, the scripts are not completely finished yet, but were much easier to write since they are so familiar with the characters, and Season 3 will be 10 episodes. -
The Nevers Character Posters Intro HBO Series' Major Power Brokers Do not click on the link because it gives you the title and synopsis of all 6 episodes of Season 1. In 'The Nevers,' Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event that gives certain people — mostly women — abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. But no matter their particular "turns," all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) to protect and shelter these gifted "orphans." To do so, they will have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind. The posters focuses on the six of our main characters. I was guessing at who is who so I might be wrong. Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) Mary Brighton (Eleanor Tomlinson) Harriet Kaur (Kiran Sonia Sawar) George Thorns (Brett Curtis) Lavinia Bidlow (Olivia Williams)

I really liked the organ harvesting and the whiplash stories quite a bit. I could have done without the dog tales.
