Only Speculation Without Spoilers In the Thread
AnimeMania replied to shapeshifter's topic in Only Murders In The Building
That's why I posted that they should be showing us more tenants instead of wasting a whole episode on Sting, who we know will not end up as the killer. Give us more suspects and more motives. -

Pretty sure that is Oscar from prison. -
The cat picture was funny. They should have let Oliver's son analyze to powder on the floor by the dog, the dog, and the cat leg, to see if there are any connections. Oliver's son was the right age to know about The Hardy Boys and their evil shenanigans. Sting seemed like a nice guy, his assistant not so much. Why would Sting have to personally fire Tim Kono unless Tim Kono was directly liaising with Sting on behalf of his firm. It is interesting that Charles doesn't miss his ex-girlfriend, he misses the daughter of his ex-girlfriend, Lucy. I wonder if Lucy was the right age to know about The Hardy Boys and their evil shenanigans. They are going to keep introducing young people around Mabel's age, and one of them is going to be the killer. I thought the Loony Toons characters hallucinations were a little much although I laughed at the carrot crunching sounds. Did Bassoonist Lady make a "furry" joke? Is everything we are seeing in the past, and the Podcast Lady is telling/showing us what happened? If so, when the murderer is finally revealed, she could have been wrong and some new revelation might come to light, suggesting a new solution. It could have been funnier and moved through the suspects a little faster, there is an entire building to eliminate and we barely know any of the tenants.

Yes, Susan was possessed for a second before the Roadie jumped back into Megan. Mainly you could tell by the color of the eyes, they turned black.

Yes, but I remember that happening closer to the beginning than the end, so I think you missed a lot more of the episode than you think.

I was kind of hoping the show would be more episodic in nature so that we could get to know each character better. Since the episodes were so short and they all dropped at once, the serial nature wasn't that bad. I didn't like the extremes of normal versus fantastic (like flying cars and sentient robot A.I.'s that don't need a power source) the show bounced between. Shorter, more reality based story lines might have made me think higher of the show. For some reason I always felt there should have been more members of the Q-Force team. Not a bad show, but they could have taken way more risks with their humor, it seemed like they were too worried about offending someone. Sometimes you need to leave a few scratches on the guardrails.

I figured the hollowed out books was where all the stolen jewelry was kept, since they weren't stealing it for the money, it was just a place to hide it that nobody (parents) would look. I posted in the third episode thread my person that I believe did it: The Deli King's Son. I didn't really have a reason, but you know here are a few reasons: He has a disability, I don't exactly remember what, I think he was deaf. He seems very normal, quickly introduced and just as quickly dismissed so as not to draw attention. He is around the same age as The Hardy Boys and if he was in the building during that time, he probably knew them but they never included him in their activities. Maybe he was supplying the food for the party going on on the roof or was throwing the party. I pick him because he was the most normal person on the show and they didn't really try to make him stand out. The perfect person to throw you off the scent of a murderer. -

Set against the background of industrial steel town decay, American Rust is a story of survival, betrayal, and the lengths people are willing to go, revealing a town full of good people making bad choices. As the the jobs moved out, the drugs moved in. Based on Philipp Meyer’s debut novel, American Rust, this family drama will explore the tattered American dream through the eyes of complicated and compromised Police Chief Del Harris (Jeff Daniels). Filmed in Pittsburgh, the story is centered in the small fictional Rust Belt town of Buell in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Police Chief Del Harris is revealed to be a war vet and a former Pittsburgh detective slowly weaning himself off prescription drugs for pain and PTSD. Follow Police Chief Del Harris as he struggles to keep Buell together after a death has marred the town, stirring tensions and casting doubt on everyone and everything. Accused of this murder is Billy Poe (Alex Neustaedter), a high school football star floundering about what to do after graduating due to his family’s poverty and lack of opportunity in this financially depressed area. Grace Poe (Maura Tierney) is a local dressmaker and mother of Billy, in love with Police Chief Del Harris, as well as separated, but still married to Virgil (Mark Pellegrino), the town cad. Police Chief Del Harris remains conflicted by what he has done and is willing to do to ensure that the woman he loves' son is not convicted of murder. How does this set with Steve Park (Rob Yang), Police Chief Del Harris' second in command. Billy's best friend, Isaac (David Alvarez), is itching to get out of town and take Billy with him. Isaac is tied to the town since he has been caring for his infirmed father, Henry (Bill Camp), ever since his sister, Lee (Julia Maygora), was accepted to Yale and then moved to New York City, where she married a man her family has never met. American Rust will premiere at 10 p.m. Sunday, September 12, on Showtime. The first episode of this nine episode series can be viewed for free, right now, on YouTube, Showtime.com, and Sho.com, and across multiple Showtime partner platforms.

S01.E03: How Well Do You Know Your Neighbors?
AnimeMania replied to AnimeMania's topic in Only Murders In The Building
Since they have setup and established the premise, they can inject comedy into the rest of the episodes by bumbling their way through a murder investigation while exposing the entire apartment building's dirty secrets in their podcast and getting a few more residents killed along the way. I have no proof what so ever and no reason to believe this, but I am guessing that the murderer is -
I think it is something like this, I was going to call it the "Copernicus Principle" but something already has a similar name so I will call it the "Beeblebrox Principle". This is where your viewpoint switches from "normal" to "you (or people like you) are the most important thing in the universe". It seems very analogous to racism, where you don't see the "others" as worthy as you are. It is a shame that the writers place their worth so much higher than that of other people, since art does not have a function, unlike the things that other people create.

Only Murders In The Building Most-Watched Hulu Comedy Premiere Ever It even surpassed Hulu's acquisition of Seinfeld in 2015. But back then Hulu only had about 9 million subscribers, compared to its current tally of almost 43 million subscribers. -
I thought Susan was a firestarter, I guess she learned a little telekinesis in her spare time. Last week did they say that the roadie couldn't inhabit the same body twice, maybe I just imagined that.
