Bev has given substantial money to her kids, and I think to her grandkids, and great-grandkids, so acting like Bev was just never saving was ridiculous. She would have had money if not for her deadbeat family. It seems like Jackie and Roseanne since she was older would have brought up Bev and them being at nana Mary’s. Also, didn’t Jackie say Bev was gone for months? I don’t think Jackie is obligated to pay for Bev’s care because Bev was still shitty to her separate from her husband, but imo Jackie did at least owe her the amount Bev gave her for the lunchbox and the down payment on her home, since she did somewhat care what happened to Bev. If only for the fact, Bev seemed to save money, and used most of it to bail out her bum family. Dan and the rest of them could chip in too but they’re searching the couch cushions for change.

Since the show screws up the timeline for me…did she say how long they’ve been dating? I hope she’s not bringing Truely around people too early, but considering all these people date for 8 minutes then get married maybe their timelines are quicker. I hope she’s happy but I don’t need a bunch of details about her relationship and so it’s fair I never wanted to hear about Kody’s and Robyn’s romance either. I only care if Mosby and Janelle’s dog get married and that’s just so they can build a casita on Coyote Pass 😂. eta: I wonder if this means Christine is officially “divorced” from Kody per Robyn’s instructions 🤭

This might belong in the Meri thread, but my response involves Leon, so maybe it can go here. I do think Meri was a victim of the catfisher, I think maybe Leon (and others) lost sympathy for her because she took no responsibility for anything she did. According to Mykelti, Meri was sexting or having intimate conversations that Leon heard or knew about, plus she was dragging Leon along to meet the catfisher, and was according to their definition of these spiritual marriages “cheating” on Kody. I personally don’t blame Meri for trying to find a boyfriend but she essentially was putting Leon in the middle of this “affair” by dragging her along and allowing her to hear whatever these intimate conversations were. This put Leon in the position of having to keep secrets from Kody and while Leon is not my favorite person, nobody should be made to hide an “affair” much less a parent’s. So I do think Meri was a victim especially since according to the Browns the catfisher went way over the top with their scamming, but I think Meri went from victim to complicit when she starting involving Leon and this lessens some people’s sympathy I think Leon stated at some point Meri never accepted her role in the mess. I think some people she wasn’t a victim because they think she wouldn’t have been in this mess, if she weren’t out looking for a boyfriend especially since I guess the catfisher had allegedly try to target other family members first. (My personal opinion, Meri should have left and found a real bf, but that’s a whole other story). I think essentially Meri was a victim, but it gets pushed aside because she dragged her child into the mess and acted like she was forced into participating from the very beginning.

Yes, I read a couple of places Kody has helped many if not all the kids with rent, cars, and general cash to live on. Don’t know how much was Kody’s money versus ‘fambly” money, but I was pleasantly surprised the children (and surprisingly most if not all) ended up with some cash and it all wasn’t spent on $500 amethyst crystal gourds or twenty $50 Uncle Sam figurines. I also got a chuckle that one of the kids maybe Gwen came to her dad’s defense when somebody implied he was probably a bad tipper. It actually doesn’t surprise me that some of the kids come to Kody’s defense. I mean to me he’s just a reality guy with bad hair and bad acting skills, but I get he’s their dad and while he’s generally an asshat he probably does some nice things for them and that probably leaves some of them with hope that he actually cares about them or at least isn’t a total ass.

Just my opinion of the “kids”. I am not that much older than the older kids and honestly most of the time I don’t judge them for their “kid” antics on the show except that damn Leon staring at the house scene. Most of the rolling of my eyes come from their online shenanigans. I’m sorry but at 15/16 or however old they were I was homeless, working a job,and going to school at that age so sitting in a brand new car staring at their McMansion when they had a rental McMansion a couple of miles a way that they were already living in was preposterous. It was then and still is now to me. My main problem with Leon online was they were always screaming about social justice, which in itself is fine imo, but they rarely if ever said what they were doing to help provide more equitably for people. They scream what everyone else should do. It could be they were doing things, but all they did was be rude to posters while eating avocado toast and most likely living off Meri’s scam mlm money. Injustice is wrong unless we’re allegedly getting over on people to buy avocado toast or let our dogs fly for free, etc. JUSTICE FOR ME NOT FOR THEE! Dr. Mykelti OBGYN is apparently telling people that PPD is from mom’s not getting enough attention 🙄 I get these people might have been sheltered at some point but they have been living more than a decade out in the immodest world of schemes and scams. She needs to put the leggings down and take 5 mins reading a pamphlet from an actual doctor’s office before she spouts off as an expert. Maddie-*See Mykelti* except she’s actually in college majoring in Biology yet shills Plexus. The irony on that one is laughable, but then again Janelle was running around as a health coach and Kody thinks he’s some sort of real estate tycoon, so I guess Maddie’s delusions should be expected. Logan, Hunter, and Aspyn- I don’t have any negative thoughts on them because as far as I know they haven’t routinely posted ridiculous things on social media and for the most part were as if not more emotionally responsible than the parents on the show. Robyn’s kids- The only time I thought they were problematic was when the 2 older girls made fun of Janelle’s trailer. Day’un seems like a smart young man and Solomon seems very sweet and honestly I like Little Mullet (I never remember her real name). I feel like she keeps Robyn and Kody on their toes and it cracks me up. Paedon- Much like Leon got the worst traits of both his parents. I have no thoughts on the abuse claims as there’s evidence to support both lines of thinking. Although he says some very suspect things regarding women (not Meri) imo. All other kids- I really don’t know enough about the rest of the kids so they fall under a neutral to positive view to me. Personally, I think all these people need a therapist, preferably someone not named Nancy. *just my 2 cents (that’s all it’s worth, ymmv) eta: I agreed with Leon’s take on the catfish debacle and wouldn’t even fault Meri except for the fact that she tried to act like her ass wouldn’t have been gone if Sam were real.

Yes, I’m curious as to if Leon finished graduate school. Seems like she or Audrey would have made a big deal about it or at least acknowledged it. You’d also think Meri would have posted about Leon finishing graduate school. I mean I’m sure Kody would have declined going to the graduation due to protuculs but I’m sure Meri would have been there cheering Leon on in between filtering pics and teaching Mosby how to be a boss babe because he’s in her downline. Mosby doesn’t like to brag but I heard he has tens of dollars in sales , so basically he totally crushed and embarrassed Robyn and her closet. *Im not sure why a pic of dogs wearing lulurags exist but here we are 🤭

I think people would watch a dating show with Christine, but I personally don’t care about her dating life. Honestly, I think for me Christine was pretty tolerable on Sister Wives because I was always comparing her to Kody, Robyn, and Meri. I also felt bad because it seemed like her kids got shafted a lot of the time. However, there were times she was overly dramatic and really irritating to me, so I’d probably have a harder time watching a show where she is the main focus.

Yes, honestly at least point it seems hazardous (mentally stressful)to the well-being of everyone to appear on this show. This show has really gone off the rails the last couple of years. As far as Meri, it seems she is supportive of Leon, but any kind of extended filming of their relationship would probably be stressful. Meri’s relationship with her kid always seemed like it was walking on eggshells since the catfish scenario. I do think Meri loves Leon, but it seems like she hesitates because she thinks she will say the wrong thing. Leon seems to be on their own journey and filming would likely be messy because the show is focused on ratings not people’s well-being.
