  1. Miss Scarlet is how I discovered Stuart Martin. After I finished that, I had to find more of Mr. Martin so I watched Jamestown. So obviously, I thought he was pretty smoldering as William Wellington. 😘
  2. You don't think that would be awkward (not the hunting, just the fact that they were strangers with a huge age gap) ? It was portrayed as way too congenial to be believable to me. I did a lot of eye rolling during that part.
  3. I've read though most of this thread and I can't believe no one commented on the weirdness of Phillip and Diana! Phillip demands that an18 year old girl go out hunting alone with him at the break of dawn! It just seems so bizarre. The father of a guy you've been out with once whose also the husband of the Queen! Most 18 year old girls would have been scared to death, yet Diana is portrayed as totally cool with it. I don't think she was as naïve as she is sometimes portrayed, but this was OTT ridiculous. There's no way that happened in real life. Also, GA sucks as Thatcher. The gigantic hair and the weird way she holds her head reminds of Dolly Parton trying to keep her wig from falling off.
  4. So glad to know I'm not the only one that feels this way. I just finished a rewatch and I posted almost the exact same thing on another message board and you'd would have thought I said something sacreligious! Eric Taylor absolutely deserved a promotion and the show should have ended with him taking the head coaching job in Florida. It would have been a nice way to show that his players wanted good things for him too; since Street put Shane State in contact with him.
  5. I just finished watching all 24 episodes of this show and the ending was an awful cliffhanger! The show was a bizarre mashup of Game of Thrones style violence and gore, Lord of the Rings (Jocelyn's obsession with Crabtree's ring), Poldark (the eclipse) with a little Supernatural thrown in the mix. I'm guessing they didn't know season 3 was the last series? Yeardley needed to get his comeuppance and Silas should have returned to England to find Alice and their son.
  6. About freaking time! Show might actually be worth watching again!
  7. That's what makes it weird. They aren't regular characters so why bother to kill them? Most of them don't even have to be mentioned again unless the show wants to do another story about them. So why slam the door on that possibility? It's like they're only doing it for schlock.
  8. I thought the same. Boring episode, what was the point of killing off Emily? This show has become nothing but tragedy porn.
  9. Frank is a civilian so not subject to the mandatory retirement age, but there has been an episode that addressed the forced retirements. The show implied that 60 ain't what it used to be and the issue should be revisited.
  10. If Mary was the kind of Baptist that frowned on dancing, she wouldn't drink beer either.
  11. Yes, I would agree that Miss Scarlet appeals more to a younger audience. I watched and liked both, but if I had to choose between the two I'd go with MSATD because the sex appeal is off the charts! 😉 If/when it lands on Netflix, Prime, or Hulu; I can see it developing a cult following. Anyway, I liked William so much; I've decided to give Jamestown a view in spite of the horrendous reviews.
  12. I thought of that, but I think William is the only one she would want and there's no way he'd go for that!
  13. Yes, he is. This was a good episode. I don't think Eliza would ever agree to a fake marriage with Mr. Parker, but when he made the offer he said "no intimacy"...so what was his plan for heirs? He admitted that's all his mother really cared about. Me thinks Mr. Parker didn't think his plan through.
  14. First episode I've ever turned off. I refuse to watch actors wearing masks.
  15. Frank was a jerk this episode. You can't force someone to stay in a job they don't want.
  16. I'm enjoying this show, but this was not my favorite episode. If you're interested in Kate Warne, she already got the TV treatment. The Pinkertons aired for one season in 2014-2015. It's not a great show, but it's worth a watch if you can find it streaming somewhere. It was on Netflix, but it's gone now.
  17. She likely would be put on paid leave pending an investigation. This episode sucked.
  18. Matt was probably my favorite of the kids. The ones I couldn't stand were Landry and Tyra. Didn't care about their separate stories nor their together stories.
  19. That was fun. Yeah, it's not historically accurate; but I'm kinda digging the steam punk vibe. And William is hawt! How old is Eliza supposed to be?
  20. Lazy episode. It seemed like a very special episode from the 1980s. 🙄
  21. I assumed Monica, Ross, Rachel, Mindy, and Barry all grew up together. It's kind of weird that they're all the wedding of Rachel's ex, but it's a funny episode.
  22. It's gone from the Roku channel as of Jan 1. Anybody know if it's streaming anywhere else?
  23. I think it was more that it's hard to fit in to a family you never knew you had. I also think it might have started out as a different story, but two shortened seasons changed it. He could've also been a back up plan if one of the regulars decided to leave at the end of season 10.
