All Episodes Talk: Small World, Big Lives
Spike replied to NewOrleansLady's topic in Little People Big World
My take on why Amy doesn’t want to be bought out is that she knows Matt would never pay full market value. He seems like the type who would lowball any offer, and doubly so if he can get one over on Amy. But if it really has nothing to do with the price and she is just being spiteful, all Matt would need to do is get a third party to buy it then resell it to him. I don’t believe for a minute that Matt’s problem with the double wide is that it isn’t modified for little people. Presumably Zach made some modifications to his house, Amy had some done in the big house. He could do the same in the DW. Most of the renovations would be kitchen and bathroom, the rest is lowering light switches. It could be done, the real problem is that the DW isn’t grand enough for him. The Little Caesar’s product placement was over the top. A lingering shot of the logo on the box and Jeremy mentioning it. Didn’t happen when he and Auj went to the drive thru. Karen has a very round face and chipmunk cheeks. Reminds me of a younger Roseanne Barr. -
There is already a thread for this episode.

I don’t know what your financial situation is but you can buy whole seasons of shows on amazon or iTunes for around 20 bucks. I am a cord cutter so I do that that sometimes for channels I don’t have anymore. And this is comedy gold. Maybe Mae is hungry because after Nicole inhales her meal she finishes off Mae’s. It may just be me but Family SeaAir would not have the same ring to it.

Lost In Transition - General Discussion
Spike replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Lost In Transition
Boy that stylist who worked on Lucy didn’t even have her own makeup and hair done in an appealing manner. I was surprised Beverly and Karen’s house was worth that much in Bumble Ohio. Maybe it’s on a large lot. With four cats it may have a certain scent as well. Lucy is a smoker. I assume Cindy must be as well because she has the yellowest teeth I have seen in a long time. These big screens and HD we have nowadays are merciless. -

Didn’t the party for Amy say she is 55? Everyone keeps saying 54. Tori may be a teacher, but I don’t think grammar is part of kindergarten curriculum. And she always says “drive safe.” Funny that they found beavers on the property, as beaver was Matt’s downfall. -
Did we really have to hear about Hermann’s wife walking in on their son watching porn? Most guys don’t just watch if you know what I mean. And then Hermann calls it dirty like firemen would never watch it lol.

I bet Bria’s date would have liked to borrow Severide’s car for after the prom.

The writers can’t even get the cliches right. It’s your chariot awaits not your chariot arrived. Oh and aren’t there a billion YouTube makeup tutorials? Those skanks on Little Women LA are always making them.

Ex On The Beach (US) - General Discussion
Spike replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Ex On The Beach (US)
That girl stalking Chase sure has a low voice. -
Yeah Congress has a role but they used the term ratify which has specific meaning regarding amendments. What Congress would do is decide whether the president is unfit, not ratify anything.
-
Maybe we need to say Wake Up Maggie.
-
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if Bill turns out to be a mole. But they may save that for next season.
-
Whenever they get things wrong it takes me out of the story. Last season they kept talking about the Solicitor General. He’s an appellate lawyer, he wouldn’t meet with people about offering immunity. Recently Saul mentioned mandamus. In addition to mispronouncing it, it applies to public officials and he was trying to have it issued against a private citizen. And this episode they were talking about Congress having to ratify the 25th amendment. It wouldn’t be an amendment if it hadn’t been ratified. It was also interesting that when they were detailing the raid on Dante’s apartment during the custody hearing to demonstrate Carrie’s unfitness that no one mentioned that Mom had been screwing the mole on the couch at the time and he was dragged out naked. But hey Franny sleeps through everything, right?

I live in Chicago and have heard that even CFD ambulances bill $800 plus for a ride. So some people who are not seriously injured decline medical care or drive themselves to the ER.

I could see Tonya shooting him after what she did to Lila in Puerto Rico. How can a 54-year-old not restrain herself from violent outbursts?
-
I am finally watching the couples retreat from last summer and Tonya and Kerwin’s big problem was that he won’t turn off the tv when she wants to go to sleep. Really? Has she heard of ear plugs? Has he heard of earphones? If the light bothers her, has she heard of a night mask? Can he watch it in another room and then come to bed ? I’m sure she would then complain that when he comes into the room she wakes up. If people can’t compromise on such simple things they should live alone.
-
Has Kerwin’s cane ever been explained? Did he have a stroke? Was he shot? My unstanding is that Tonya is in her late 40s. But they keep saying they have been dating for 30 years. So they started when she was a teen? And unless he’s had a very rough life, he appears to be in his 60s. So did he start dating her when he was in his early 30s and she was 17 or 18? And how old was she when he knocked her up?

Would be interesting if Cordova knocked up Gabby and they decided to not have it. Especially with her recent problems having a baby.

Forget discipline. Hermann could have been arrested. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-cfd-battery-20180328-story.html
-
Maybe he wants to work a few shifts fIrst so the guys accept him. I would think firefighters would be more homophobic than the general public but could be wrong. Maybe Gabby liked to accompany him to the bars and that was their special relationship.
-
Since they didn’t kill or disable him, I wish the writers would bring Mills back.
-
Maybe the secret is that Cordova’s gay.

I think these two were episodes 14 and 15, not 13. Last week was 13. Springfield is a 3 and a half hour drive from Chicago, so that was a seven hour round trip for a ribbon cutting. I hope they had more than just shakes after that at the diner. I was surprised when they referred to Otis’s blood clot disorder. Usually they drop subplots like that. Dawson’s face is so round she reminds me of a Campbell’s Soup kid. And Stella, if you have ears like satellite dishes, don’t pin your hair behind them.

Amy Morton is a wonderful actress. I had the privilege of seeing her in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf a few years ago and she put Elizabeth Taylor to shame.
