Michaella and Brandon: He Writes Fairy Tales
Fabricationary replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Bringing Up Bates
From http://brandonlovesmichaela.com/our-story/: Someone please introduce Michael(a) to the proper use of punctuation. But yes, I agree that she seems way more into him than he is to her. Her narrative reads "I've been longing for this guy for years and years so much that everyone around me (except him) has noticed," and his is like "I wasn't interested or maybe just oblivious to her for years, and then after being in ATI ministry school for years and realizing I'd need a wife, someone suggested her, and she seemed suitable." Apparently Brandon and Michael(a) are registered at Target, though I managed to skim through their registry without rolling my eyes at any of their requests (unlike the Duggar girls). -
Are we supposed to believe that Arrow killed Reverse Flash? I find that really anticlimactic and I'm waiting for that to be reversed.

Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue gave a TED Talk recently: Awkwardness ensues.
-
And Barry needs to get off the West-Allen train for a while. It ain't happening anytime soon.
-
Are we allowed to post while the episode is airing? Anyway, a giant CGI gorilla with contagious PTSD...yawn.
-
You sound like a fellow snarker - I think I love you!
-
Yes, I know; that was the snark talking. (Surely I can't be the only one who snark-watches this show...)
-
And now we know where these set photos fit in.

Add "fire hydrant" to the Flash's skill set. Cisco, Caitlin, and Barry should have figured out a long time ago that working on their covert bring-down-Wells technology in Star Labs during work hours is about as brilliant of an idea as printing "I hate my boss" signs at work on your boss's workstation in the middle of the workday. West-Allen fans can rejoice, as their choice pairing is apparently (future-)canon.

Finally Iris gets a role that's something other than 'girl left in the dark.' I got a Californians vibe from that closing scene.
-
Loved the epi-pen commercials playing repeatedly during this episode. It comes in handy when you don't have a superhuman friend who can double as a defibrillator.
-
It's going to be hard to come up with more than 3 or 4 "I" names, if they've chosen to follow the family tradition...
-
Further on set pap photos seem to indicate that Iris has a run-in with Eddie, the Flash, and on a bridge sometime soon...
-
Biggest laugh of the night: Caitlin tells Eddie and Iris that Barry is psychotic, and then they feel sorry for him. Next week: deranged Luke Skywalker comes to Central City
-
Now where's that handy absolute zero gun when you need it?

Still, I would wager that 14 months or so of courtship in fundy families is like 5-7 years of courtship among non-fundies (given that many fundy courtships last only months before the wedding!).

S40.E00: The 40th Anniversary Special
Fabricationary replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
You didn't miss anything funny anyway! I only liked a handful of things in yesterday's 3.5 hour marathon - Celebrity Jeopardy, Weekend Update, and...that's about it. The Wayne's World sketch is a bit before my time (I started watching SNL when I was in high school in the early 00s). The clip montages were good for longer-term fans of the show, but a lot of them were kind of boring to me because I didn't recognize most of them. I would have preferred if they had structured this differently: - a 1.5-hour live show with alums, where they come back and do skits inspired by their most memorable characters (perhaps chosen by a fan vote, with newer alums filling in to pay tribute to cast members who've passed away or can't' be there), complete with a regular-length Weekend Update; no extraneous/irrelevant musical guests - a 1.5-2 hour clip show, aired earlier/later than the live show, or an a different night altogether. -

Next time they do an SNL anniversary tribute, they need to ban all extraneous celebrities. And Kristin Wiig. -

Miley Cyrus for the most unnecessary musical performance of the night. WTF?
