  1. Seth Meyer's take on Trump is more spot on. Trevor was good, but this took the cake. Thank you, Seth. A Closer Look on Trump
  2. I could have sworn that the Billy character was more of a homage to Robe Lowe's characters throughout the 80s. At least, that was the Duffer brothers' intentions. I could be wrong, though. While the Top Gun scene seems to be the most with the gay overtones, Masquerade had a scene with Doug Savant and Rob Lowe that made Top Gun seem tame. Anybody remembers that film? It was released prior to Rob Lowe's controversial sex tape scandal in 1988. That line with Steve in the shower made me think if that was either more of a Masquerade homage than a Top Gun one. But then I wouldn't know. So who knows what they would do with Max's brother.
  3. Probably be better than the book. The same was for Jaws and Forest Gump. Both movie adaptations ended up being better than the book itself.
  4. Since the next episode is November 21st, which was release date of Mortal Kombat Annilhilation. The worst movie of 1997....20 years old by now! Who could forget classic lines like "Mother, you're alive!" Or "Yes, and now you die!" God, I wonder how Jessica would respond to this movie's horrible acting and directing? God, this movie was so bad it was MSTK3000 material.
  5. No clips from her boob touching incident from Lil' Kim or the infamous boob touch with the security guard checking her drug use with the flight fiasco? Just kidding, but people remember that Miss Ross did some kooky things in the past.
  6. I know I couldn't handle that success all that well. I kind of would have botched it unfortunately. But I tried acting at an early age and that was no fun. Speaking with firsthand experience about acting in school plays, it was kind of disastrous back then.
  7. In the opening of season 2 with the police chase, one of the scenes features a man with a iPhone taking a picture of the car itself, despite it being 1984! It happens somewhere at 1:30-1:32.
  8. I have to give Finn and Millie a lot of credit here. They are really 14 going on 15, but they're still kids new at these things. Despite their awkwardness, they came off pretty decent for newcomers. And they smart enough to answer what question is said to them and whatnot. I mean, not everyone is going to be a River Phoenix, Drew Barrymore, or Henry Thomas in their life, right? Usually, everybody's beginnings have a bumpy start when being interviewed. It is in most Hollywood handbooks.
  9. I was more concerned about Grandpa than Pat, knowing that guy's skin color was not that of a healthy person. Especially when he looked like he would have keeled over anytime soon.
  10. I know. I know. But I was seven at that time. I thought my hairstyle wouldn't have made a comeback. Turns out I was wrong. But it's kind cool, you know. I wasn't fashion sense in a way, but I wanted to see what would have happened if my hair grew. Turns out that was the most my hair grew. All photos after 1991, my hairstyle was rather tamed.
  11. This is is my 1st grade picture from 1990. You might have said that I started the Mike Wheeler hairdo before Mike, right? How I miss my rebellious phase and thick hair wavy. This was my phase before my mom wanted me to cut my own hair. This happened after this photo was taken. It was fun while it lasted. Not exactly an 80s year book, but pretty damn close. And now 27 years later on Stranger Things...how retro is that?
  12. Trump is the type person that acts tough, but in the end he is a wimp. A wimp with no brains. Or a typical man child who never grew up. Either way, still scary.
  13. And that's our president, unfortunately. Shhhhhh.....I think it's the Shadow Monster from Stranger Things controlling Trump. That's the reason there are so many run on sentences that go on and on with no end. His massive weight gain and no cohesive thought narrative that Trump does. It makes sense. Trump is not a human being at all. That skit from Stephen Colbert sums up the Upside Down perfectly... So, John, we got him...
  14. Stevie Nicks' "I Can't Wait" playing in the background while Mrs. Wheeler dolls herself up for Billy. It could happen, judging the looks she gives to Billy. The Duffer brothers say they are not done with that plot in mind.
  15. Would Joe Keery or Bill Skarsgard host SNL? They both seem to have a great sense of humor in interviews.
  16. The fighting game sketch was hysterical. Great callback to those fighting games from the 90s. I remember MK so well. Beyoncé, Beyonce, Beyonce!
  17. I think Finn is going to have a busy career with the sequel to It in the works and he has other projects as well. I think the reason why he was used so little in the 2nd Season because he is getting bigger roles now. Gaten and Caleb are the only ones that don't get film roles like Finn. Noah is also getting film roles, so the Wil character may or may not take a back seat in the next season.
  18. The Duffers were heavily influenced on the Silent Hill games as well as other video games like The Last of Us, but mainly on Silent Hill. A lot of people don't know that the Japanese influence on their Silent Hill franchise is based entirely on Japanese folklore and Western folklore with a dab of Stephen King. If you watched Parasite Eve, you could see weirdness in that movie as well. The Japanese were always the go to source for influence. I know that the Duffer Brothers gives credit to Stephen Spielberg and other 80s theme films, but the whole demon thing is entirely based on Japanese based horror themed game/movie genres. The brothers might have been also hardcore video game addicts as well.
  19. I never realized that that the actress playing Dustin's mother is the same one from OITNB!
  20. Music for 1985! Simple Minds' Don't You Forget About Me should open at the start of Season 3!
  21. Besides Heaton getting a backlash on his drug use, Finn is getting a backlash from fans about how some fan criticized him for not stopping for an autograph when he went to his hotel room. I just thought it was pretty stupid since he is still a kid and I know where he is coming from because he is still young. Actors give you their art and that's it. They don't owe you anything. They are humans just like us. I just hope it turns alright for Finn at the end. Finn under fire from fan backlash
  22. Noah Schnapp really was the breakout star this season. At first, I didn't think the 1st season was all that, but the 2nd season was great. The 80s references, Dragon's Lair, Ryder's acting much subdued, Dustin's one liner, David Habour's performance, and above all the atmospher. It was awesome and the music used in the series is spectacular. Noah's facial expressions are scarily good. Fear and sadness all rolled into one. He really sold this part of a tortured victim with a demon inside. I can't wait for Season 3.
  23. Next season should focus on Dustin's Duck Hunt skills on the NES. If he was cursing like crazy to Dragon's Lair, he would curse more on Duck Hunt. Ah, the NES....memories of that evil laughing dog.
  24. Except one and that is the late River Phoenix. He surpassed Will's bowl cut by a mile. VS So River wins in this war. That bowl cut was bigger than Will's.
