  1. This was not a bad movie and could you believe my father enjoyed this movie? This is the same guy who seen every video game-based movie in the 90s-00s who would go on an almost Murray Goldberg rampage with lines like "Who talks like that?", "Are they serious", "This is a movie", and others like that. But my dad loved this movie. He really enjoyed it and that surprised me. I was ready for the same complaints he had more on every movie based on a video game, but he loved it. Everyone loved it. I loved it, too. The Shining sequence was amazing. That was quite a well-done move on Steven Spielberg. Having never read the book, I liked the 80s hints here and there. Sad, there was no Rush music, but enjoyed seeing the Rush poster in Halliday's room. Yay, Rush.
  2. WWE Hall of Famer Luscious struck and killed by a truck Horrible way to go. RIP Luscious.
  3. Is there 80s music? I hope to hear some Rush songs...Name the songs you heard so far.
  4. How are the reviews coming along so far?
  5. It would be most certainly be about Lennon. No focus on the killer himself. He was scum. I read the Sal book and I was surprised Ryan Murphy did not tackle that book. That would have been something up his alley. The book was good, discussing his rise to fame in the 50s and sudden decline in the mid 60s. That would have made good TV. He lived a wild lifestyle in his declining years. Quiji boardgames in abandoned Hollywood houses, dating Jill Hayworth when she was a minor, and lots of stuff that I can't name that was endless in his life. Don't know who would play him. I would like to know who could play Lennon as well. That would be something.
  6. The story of Lennon is so sad, but it would be good TV. Interesting thing about John Lennon is that when Sal Mineo was murdered, he put the reward money to find his killer. John was very outspoken throughout his post Beetle tenure. Such a shame that both were murdered by people they barely knew. It will be lot of tears coming back to that haunting day in 1980.
  7. Oh, wow. Who is gonna play Hillary, Bill, or Monica? Rebecca De Mornay could play Hillary. She has a stately presence in her movie roles. This is going to be interesting.
  8. Antonio Sabato's comment about being blacklisted in Hollywood made me spit out my milk. Dude, you were never blacklisted. Your career dried up when the 90s were over. Don't blame Hollywood about blacklisting. Blame yourself for not having a career change to begin with. And him running for Congress makes my skin crawl. I hope he doesn't win the seats in California. I wonder what John Oliver have to say about that. As for conservative Hollywood types like James Wood and Scott Baio, those are the type of people that can't see reality and think their views are golden when in fact they are not. They live in a fantasy where they are always in the right and you are in the wrong. While Hollywood liberals have flaws as well, it's the Hollywood conservatives that think their crap don't stink and want to be part of the 1% bracket that Trump promised them. Crying over Hollywood deserting them is so much bs. They had it all and chosed to become the jerks now. As much as I hate to say it, Bill Maher was spot on going after the Hollywood conservatives on that assumption. Good job, Bill.
  9. Frank Sinatra's links to the Mafia and politics could make an interesting ACS season. Just thinking out loud. I am opened to other suggestions.
  10. I wonder if Sal Mineo would be the next season of American Crime Story segments for Ryan Murphy. Sal's murder was unfortunate because the killer barely knew who the actor was. I know he is doing the feud series, but I wonder if Ryan can expand to the 1920s of Golden Hollywood scandals/murders. There was a lot of interesting tidbits going on back then.
  11. Ryan Murphy really upped his game on the soundtrack. Hearing Ultravox's Vienna in the beginning is probably the best chilling 80s song ever. One thing you can say is that Ryan knows how to use music for a certain scene.
  12. Valley Erica could go far far away and never return. Just don't like this character.
  13. Never read the book, but I love 80s and 90s theme in movies.
  14. What is with Pete's fingernails? He looked like he burned them accidentally or something.
  15. That is an interesting outlook as to how a person could be changed from birth to who they would later become. A lot of parents don't realize that their behavior could reflect on their own child's behalf. That's including former child star parents who don't admit their mistakes as well for not letting their kids be kids. It's like you are super and terrific all of a sudden, but when the reality hits, it's no longer true.
  16. Was it just me or did the kid playing Andrew resembled a young Mark Paul Gosselaar a bit?
  17. Can they release the soundtrack after this season ends? I love the use of the songs in this season so far.
  18. I thought the letter to Comney was the worse part Trump did, but the Twitter firing over Rex was pretty bad. I kind of knew that would have happened given the indifference between Trump and him.
  19. That was so funny. Loved the Indy references in the episode. That clip with the old man repeating the knight's saying had me in stitches. It was one of the best moments in the show. Quite a change from the typical Beverly is overbearing plot line. This show is finding its stride. And for all the 80s references of movies and pop culture for 5 seasons, they never bothered with The Lost Boys, Evil Dead, or Near Dark? Since possibly next season will be the fall of September-October month, it would awesome to make references to those movies or something Adam will try to do with his camcorder.
  20. Brock Pierce...what a weirdo. Unicorn wedding?!!? What drugs is he on? Now we know why his career dried out.
  21. Is Timothee Chalamet going to have the same problem that happened to Hutton back in 1980?
  22. Now that's how you age naturally. Eva Marie Saint, Helen Mirren, and Rita Moreno still got it. Faye, stop it with the damn plastic surgery. You are entering Joan Rivers' territory.
  23. Oh. That I didn't know. Thanks.
