  1. Regarding the training two's, I thought she might be referring to potty training. Still an odd turn of phrase, but they sure are good at odd turns of phrases. Regarding the comment about hating Jill and her not assisting Anna (who looked really nice, btw). She sure did not even offer an ouch of help, and the TLC guy even asked her some kind of question about it, which she squirreled out of, like oh when I have that many I'll be able to manage it I'll have to look at it again to see the Jill in the car with Izzy. I don't recall seeing it at all. I'm sure it will only add to my hate and disgust. Who took care of the kid while she was out biking behind the doofus hubby? I also caught some comment by someone about them eventually returning to the mission field. Ha. Damned nice digs, free food and utilities, free babysitter, probably Anna, while waiting for their EVENTUAL return. Don't forget, DPNATE
  2. I can see I'm going to have to hire a hitman. They are driving me crazy with lazy pronunciation and improper usage, and I'm usually lenient about regional speech. But the "whenever" when whey mean "when" can't be tolerated. "Whenever mom was pregnant with Jana and John" no no no
  3. There were 4 living J girls in a row, the youngest. You've got Jenny, johannah, Josie, now who is missing. It's driving me nuts.
  4. Why no Jethro? How did they miss that one. Or maybe there is one and we never noticed him either.
  5. My mom's oldest brother was in his mid 90s when he decided to be baptized. I was so surprised, would have figured he had been baptized but he hadn't. So he wanted to get the job done, better late than never. He investigated and really wanted to be Catholic ut the church was further and harder to get a ride to consistently so he went with the local Baptist. And there he was at his age being the recipient of the full backwards submersion and dunk. Catholics only would have dribbled water on his forehead. Bless him.
  6. I feel sad to see the little girls almost always inside and doing things that help prepare them for their lives of mothers. Pulling niece and nephew in a laundry basket. I'd rather have a kid pulling some blocks in a wagon in my house on my floor. Or pulling some empty bottles to a bin outside. Anything but dragging a laundry basket with kids in it. Just gets on my last nerve.
  7. For quite a while at the end I think he had a rough temperament due to dementia. I have enjoyed this year more. Maybe I am mellowing. But Jenelle still has a boy and girl at home I don't remember seeing and Christina has several I haven't seen in a long time including a Pardon and a couple of girls with odd names. Not counting Truly. As a west coaster I can see both SW and Victoria without a conflict. But I record Victoria anyway.
  8. So Calif peeps, I am worried about some horses at a stable. It is where Carson St ends in Carson. To get to it you go through a tunnel that dips really low and dead ends at what was one of the cemented LA River channels. They decided to let that portion return to a river and so vegetation has been growing like crazy, tall and wild prickly things, hiding some not pleasant wildlife galore. Right next to the stables. There also used tp be sheep there to practice on with my herding dogs, but they were moved to Del Amo near the 710, ANYWAY every time I looked I thought about heavy rain and how the vegetation would catch everything and impede the flow of water to the sea. I worry about the horses. Not just the mess, but how the heck to get them out. You can't get to them, as the tunnel is out. I think it was in the 30 or 49s when severe flooding caused officials at the time to cement in the river (I know, awful but that's what they did) and it helped with flooding. They are doing the usual rescue of homeless and their dogs, poor things. Poor people, too. But the natural river process worries me with the type of vegatation , the junk they will collect, and those poor horses. The usual intersections are underwater near me. I used to like to park 3/4 of a block from some of them and place bets on who would try to go through, and if they'd make it or end up swirling around in a car spiral. PCH is closed, Seal Beach, many Carson exits are closed, how the rest of you doing?
  9. They talk incessantly about spit up and poop. I would not go visit. Nor would I be on the film crew. Beep Beep, I'd peel out of there so fast I'd flatten more than Wiley E Coyote.
  10. Aw come on he can just pray it away. The devil just temporarily got him.
  11. No Derick is too lazy, too preachy, and too slow due to muffy hanging onto his leg. He can't administer anything, including his own life.
  12. Oddly enough this show doesn't bother me this year nearly as much as it used to. I loathed their flight from Utah, their housing situations in LV, Sister Wives closet turmoil, cat fishing, crying endlessly, etc. It's only this last year I can bear half-watching like I half-watch everything. Clearly, the meds have kicked in, or my life is so shit that this is bearable, or something. Or I've gone insane and this seems ok to me.
  13. Priss was 24 or 25? Hard to believe. She never seemed like it. I wonder what she did in the prison ministry run by her family. Maybe she helped care for female prisoners babies if they allowed them in the joint with the moms. Whatever, But certainly she heard stories and got some experiences and heard about things that even we have not, as varied as we all are. I have a talent for knowing all about somebody I've just met in a small amount of time. I really do. But I don't run across the incarcerated, obviously.
  14. Arwen you hit a homer with that one. Only keep those posts to like minded people. I can't see it converting or even encouraging anybody. It offends me, makes me angry. That's not the God I was brought up to know, not the loving God.
  15. I do know a fair number of people who travel with little kids and babies on long flights (longer than I can bear to be on) and their kids get along fine. The methods used are not what the Wallers would do. Benadryl or booze, not much, just a little and seems to knock them out. OK so it's a not so good thing, but has amazing benefits for all, including passengers, involved. I have no moral judgment here, just statement of fact.
  16. Poor Collin. His best days of his childhood were probably those when he was being filmed. The crew probably gave him some attention and insulated him from at least some of the bad behavior inflicted on him by his family. I'll never forget him and his wanting to take care of him mother, feeding the chickens and cleaning the coops, and the beyond snotty and swearing behavior his mother exhibited on the Mexico trip when she was happy with all the gifts the kids gave her.....except for his. She shrugged her shoulders and said something like what was he thinking or oh well or whatever. It was horrid. For the film crew not to edit that out shows they are watching out for him at least a little. Without them I can't imagine his daily life. When the producers and film crew got pissed before they let all of Kate come out on the RV trip, which was a real let down for her in the first place after Australia and New Zealand. Got her cancelled.
  17. I hate it when politics is talked about here, but it's not the candidate but the party platform that they look at. Even though the party platform is pretty much ignored by Republicans when in office, they spout the party line and use all kinds of excuses and procedures to not be successful in implementing the party line. The Dems do implement their party line which would be opposite their stated beliefs. By their I mean the general fundy beliefs.
  18. I have vague memories of being a very little girl and being uncomfortable in clothes, but what can you do except being a cranky little kid. I feel so sorry for the little boy and the baby being in long pants (on the infant, for god's sake) and leggings on the girl in hot weather. That's just cruel. Ugly and cruel.
  19. Seems to me they aren't Christians, followers of Jesus. Seems they are really followers of the rest of the bible, excluding Christ. Odd, isn't it.
  20. Forgot his name, but really, who would want to join them? What an idiot must he be! Or a pervert perhaps? No, really that's mean. But I'd be darned careful.
  21. I'd go for the bling and forget about the reception. Hell, I don't have a thousand close friends anyway.
  22. The baby looks skinny to me, too. In the pix on Jill's blog there was a bald guy watching the kids perform, and there were several pictures. It seemed the bald guy stayed there but the people around him kind of split. Luckily we got to see poor Amy lying there as a prop for the newest baby to lie on. The motorhome looked clean. I was impressed. Merry Maids must have been there. Jill is the powerhouse of the operation. I think she makes most of the money and does almost all the work. I'd probably off myself if I were her, but she is the energizer bunny, by golly.
  23. What's his name may indeed be the big step up for her. She already threw herself a party for joint passing high school for Duggar Academy along with a couple of brothers. What else is there? Jackson is the one I'm going to feel terrible about. He was such a bright and eager kid, it's going to be dreadful to see him turn into a robot.
