  1. I think in many cases, they stay for the military and all the others who've supported the regime for years. The dictators may be able to exile themselves and their families, assuming they've not committed war crimes or are wanted by the ICC and assuming some country is willing to host them. But they might not be able to leave behind those who made their power possible. Supposedly that was a factor in Egypt, as a reason Mubarak didn't leave. I think the US would have facilitated his exile just to avoid bloodshed on the streets.
  2. Aren't Fridays where shows go to die?
  3. Apple paid a million or a lot of stock just to get to visit PARC.
  4. How likely is it that the sheik and Jamal would end up alone in the bathroom. If Jamal was feeling better about himself, he probably wouldn't have done it. Instead, Leila is holding out on him, he's dropping in the polls and everyone is fawning over his opponent.
  5. Mickey figures Ray has bribed Bunk the parole officer. But he sees that as Ray trying to screw him over when in fact, he's trying to prevent Cochran from throwing Mickey back in jail. So he wanted to kill his father in S1 but now wants to keep him out of jail?
  6. Wait, I don't recall that. Jenny Slate was doing coke when she and the wife went off on their own. But I don't recall drugs at AJ's place nor did he do anything with the hookers.
  7. The whole see you in 5 days was suppose to show what a jerk he was. But it seems they want to show them falling for each other, finding out they had similar outlook.
  8. This seems to be trying to approach contemporary marriage in a serious way underneath the zingers about the frustrated hubby. Not playing it for broad comedy, like married with children. Or maybe Bill Maher riffing about how bored and sexless marriages are.
  9. Did that money get turned over to the cops? Forget who found the money. Maybe they're having a good time if they didn't turn it in. BTW has there ever been a female serial killer, especially who kills with her hands rather than using guns? It's a difficult conceit the show is trying to pull off. She might have caught the henchman by surprise but you get the sense that she's going to leave a trail of blood and it's not always going to be unsuspecting teens.
  10. Did she not kill the boy because he wet himself or did he want him to tell the police where to find Kyle's body so that she could see what she's up against?
  11. Ray isn't joyful either. Don't see him smiling much. The brothers are all grim-faced. Mickey is the only one who brings the funny, with a good deal of levity.
  12. I don't think Leila would be particularly sympathetic if she learned the truth. It would be more like, "bitch, you've been holding out on my son?" Nusrat may not have been that enthusiastic about marrying doughboy in the first place, either.
  13. I think it's also the attitude of, we made you, you don't refuse us anything. These families which are close to the regime get all kinds of privilege but in exchange for absolute loyalty.
  14. Actually would have been an interesting twist if Jamal told the general to kill anyone who resisted and go arrest the sheik. But from the previews, Jamal may be planning to crack down after pretending to open up. Seems really obsessed with the Ghadafi video. If he's that worried, he could go into exile with millions or billions, instead of waiting around to get killed or spill a lot of blood to maintain power.
  15. I think a lot of people would have forgotten, especially someone Samira's age. Look at the way the anniversary of the Tiennamen Square massacre went unnoticed by most Chinese.
  16. Ray was starting to work his charm on Lupita and Ray bribes Bunk to make life tough for Mickey?
  17. Are they only suppose to be 30? Seems more like mid 30s to late 30s.
  18. I watched Welcome to Sweden and Working the Engles pilots on demand before watching Married and You're the Worst. YTW took advantage of basic cable's freedom with the sex scenes but the dialog was so much better than the broadcast sitcoms.
  19. Dialog was really well done. So the series is going to be about him trying to get a mistress or is he going to keep bugging the wife for sex?
  20. It would make more sense that he'd get that kind of hazing in an American school than an Arab one.
  21. She's not that appealing. Hormones or not, he should have some standards. Forget watching Breaking Bad. He'd have likely been looking at a lot of porn on the Internet so he really shouldn't be that irresistibly drawn to a flabby body with ugly tattoos.
  22. OK a horny teen might be tempted by a naked woman but she's not appealing, with the tattoos and the flabby body. She may go and kill his kid brother whom she told him to say goodbye to. She's definitely going to visit his buddy who had the good sense to get out of there. The kid is that oblivious? She said it was some man's blood all over her.
  23. Samira may be more interested in the guy than the cause the guy is pushing.
  24. Maybe they'll set up Jamal to become more hardline against the protesters and the opposition once he can be hard in other aspects of his life again.
  25. What was the body count in this episode alone? A few dozen, committed by Jack? He went psycho when he got the news about Audrey, no more stealth action. This must be cartoon or video game violence.
