  1. I think Sonja's memory fogs over when it's advantageous for her, and I also think that she bends the truth a bit now and then....and that's being kind about Sonja! ;-)
  2. I have to agree with you. Luann did come across very unconcerned about Bethenny's health, and not only that, but after forcing Bethenny to have a second glass of wine, she stuck Bethenny with the bill....again!! (I think this is one way Luann gets back at Bethenny.) I have to say, however, that I LOVED Luann's comment to Bethenny about men and women who were in a romantic relationship remaining friends afterwards, and that Bethenny wouldn't know about that because she's never had that happen....that was such a great dig at Bethenny, and I think Bethenny was a little speechless because Luann fired a good, unexpected shot at Bethenny and she didn't have a comback! When Luann told Ramona that she and Tom were going to get married, you could almost see the wheels spinning in Ramona's brain, thinking "Shit - how did I let that one get away?"
  3. That scene at the restaurant was ridiculous. Starting when they were being seated and Bethenny declared that she would sit at the end. Important seat - that way, she can control the conversation and appear to be in charge. Then, when she brought up the trip, and they were all "voting" whether to invite Sonja and Luann or not?? I was reminded of high school girl cliques or college sorority girls voting whether to let someone join or not. Why not just pass around a velvet bag and black and white marbles, so they could see who would be black-balled?? Loved that Ramona just sat there and wouldn't voice an opinion one way or the other - one time Ramona was smart and kept her mouth shut. And, is Sonja's drinking problem that much of an issue? Or, is Bethenny afraid that Sonja will make a fool of herself talking about "her" prosecco instead of oohing and aahing over the flavors of Bethenny's new tequila based dreck? If this trip actually happens and they don't bring Sonja along, I will be pissed. I'm not a fan of any of this trips, because they make it seem like the "hostess" is being generous and magnanimous, when we all know that Bravo and the production company is footing the bill for everyone; so, everyone should attend, unless it's not possible for a good reason - not just because one housewife has a petty, bullshit dislike for another.
  4. Me, too....what a difference! The show was so much better then! And, what a difference between Season 1 Bethenny and Season 8 Bethenny!! She seemed more vulnerable and approachable then - now, not so much. I guess money can't buy you class, but money can buy you sass....and snottiness! Ramona seems to be pretty much the same, and I like Season 8 Luann much more than Season 1. I'd forgotten how "Countess-y" she actually could be back then. Also, I think Bethenny had her eyes tweaked. Her eyes in Season 1 had a definite downward tilt on the outer eye - I don't think they do that now. Or, it could just be more fillers in her cheeks now. Ramona looked much prettier back then and Luann is still stunning.
  5. See - this is where I have a problem, and it's probably just me. I have a problem with using the word "fuck" when referring to the act of having sex with someone. To me, it sounds more base, or dirty, if you will. I know it's just a word, but it still bothers me when I hear women (or men, for that matter), supposedly with some type of social manners and class, use that word in that context. I have no problem with saying or hearing "WTF" or "you're a fucking pain in the ass", or any other way the word can be used, but it just sounds trashy and dirty in the manner that Bethenny used it in this situation.
  6. I'm thinking the comment "I don't care if you're the biggest whore in Macy's window" is right up there with "the blind leading the deaf" in Bethenny-isms. It was said to sound bitchy-cute, clever and throw off Luann, but another one that fell flat. Bethenny needs to be careful - her Bethenny-isms are coming very close to Ramona-isms' territory. I think Bethenny said she wouldn't go down on a woman because she is allergic to fish, so alluding to the fact that another woman's private area would/could smell bad. It was a very snarky but nasty putdown of other women, imo. But, by saying what she said, it also goes to show that Bethenny is selfish when it comes to sex or lovemaking, in my opinion. She wants the prize (orgasm), but she's not willing to reciprocate.
  7. Well, I guess we have to at least give Bethenny some credit for not calling Luann a "prostitution whore" and flipping Dorinda's dining room table!! :-)
  8. Hey - does anyone here have the initials "BF" in real life? I think I know where you can get a handmade, designer handbag with your initials monogramed on it. After seeing this week's episode, you could probably get it for a great price! ;-)
  9. I'll agree that Bethenny was aware, after the fact, that she totally lost control and acted completely inappropriately. I don't know how ashamed she felt, though. Yes, Luann did go prattling on and on to Jules about how she had just been treated badly, but Bethenny didn't apologize to anyone for her behavior (Luann or Dorinda) - she continued to try to justify herself by prattling to Carole, and then, Ramona and Jules, when they all went looking for her upstairs. There was no remorse there, at all. Self-awareness, yes, but no remorse. She pushed it even further by sneaking around the house and eavesdropping outside of doorways and in hallways to give herself more ammunition to fire off at Luann. She wanted to slay Luann, she wanted Luann to be prostrate with sorrow and fright at the almighty mouth that is called Bethenny, and Luann remained, for the most part, calm and did not lash out back. And, that just added fuel to Bethenny's fire. Bethenny strikes me as the type of person who, when she's looking for a fight, she won't be satisfied until she is involved in a knock-down, drag-out war of words. If her opponent doesn't rise to the bait, she continues to rail until she gets the reaction she wants. Bethenny continues to spew that she is "above all this bullshit" and has "moved on", etc. (words we hear from all the Housewives, but we know are not true), so why does she feel the need to get even with Luann? Back when Bethenny felt slighted by Luann, when Bethenny was a poor, little working girl, just trying to find her way in the big city (snark....), she didn't hold back anything then, either. She spoke her mind. When was that scene at fashion week when Bethenny called Luann a snake - Season 2 or 3? That was a long time ago, and before her big deal with Jim Beam for the Skinny Girl product line. Rich Bethenny or poor Bethenny has never had a problem expressing her dislike for someone.
  10. I was thinking that Bethenny hasn't had a chance to approve/edit them first.
  11. That's doubtful....OC seemed to thrive on petty dramas way before the RHNY did, and as for screaming - well, I don't think that Tamra and Vicki know how to speak any other way.
  12. I'm giving Luann the benefit of the doubt based on what was said after the fact. As I mentioned, if the guy was away from his wife (whether separated or not), and looking for a good time, of course, he's not going to discuss his marital status with the good time girl he's trying to pick up. And, if Luann was looking for a one night stand with someone she's never going to see again, she's not all that worried about marital status, either, especially if it wasn't brought up and the guy wasn't wearing a wedding band (or wedding band tanline). The point is, that these women talk out of both sides of their mouths when it comes to this type of stuff. Bethenny is technically still married, but yet, it's okay for her to date and sleep around. Ramona was also technically still married when she was looking for love last season. What's worse? Sleeping with someone who didn't disclose they were married, or technically being married and knowingly sleep with someone? As far as Luann's reaction to the "he was married" comment and not seeming that worried about it - well, Luann was very hungover at that point, and I think she really was more concerned about that then some random guy's marital status. Also, what's even more hypocritical is that Bethenny really had no problem with the situation at that time, but now, she's shouting it from the rooftops in the Berkshires.
  13. Bethenny threw that out there because during last season's Turks and Caicos trip, Luann and Ramona brought some guys back to the house, and supposedly, Luann slept with one of the guys, who, they later found out was married. All of this occurred off camera, and Luann claimed that she had no idea the guy was married. To Luann, the guy was a "one and done, vacation fun" hook-up. As far as I can remember, that was the only time that Luann hooked up with a married guy. Not that I'm excusing Luann, but if the guy didn't tell Luann he was married, how was she to know? Yes, that was morally loose behavior, but that's for Luann to deal with, not for Bethenny to throw stones at. What's next, Bethenny - will Luann be required to wear a bright scarlet letter "A" attached to all her clothing??
  14. I loved when Luann was questioning Ramona about where Ramona heard the story of Luann saying to Tom "You dated Ramona, now I'm next". Ramona was stammering and falling all over herself to not reveal the "source" - which turned out to be a friend of Bethenny's?? You know that Bethenny was the one who said that to Ramona. I don't know if the conversation between Tom and Luann ever happened, but even if it did, it could have been something said in jest, after Tom expressed interest in dating Luann. Either way, what difference does it make? We've all seen how the dating pool on the UES is smaller than a baby's wading pool, so I would assume that all the eligible women of the UES know and date all the available men. Ramona, herself, admitted last night that she dated Tom a few times, and "he wasn't for her", so what's the big friggin' deal? Not only that, but didn't Dorinda originally introduce Tom and Luann? If Dorinda and Ramona are such good friends, wouldn't Dorinda have known that Ramona had dated Tom? Or, did Ramona not mention Tom's name to her good friends? And lastly, if no one in this group knew that Ramona had dated Tom until after the fact, why did Luann have to ask permission to date him? I mean, I could see if Ramona had been in a long term relationship with him, but a few dates that didn't amount to anything?
  15. I just want to know - did Dorinda's Mom bake or buy that cake? First, Dorinda said her Mom bakes her a vanilla cake every year, then, when she was going off on Luann, she said her Mom bought the cake -- which was it? ;-)
  16. I know it's wrong, but all I could think of when they were showing Coco's poop all over the place was "I don't blame the dog - if I was there, I'd be shitting, too..."
  17. I find it interesting that Bethenny says she doesn't hold a grudge - she speaks her piece and moves on, but apparently, with Luann, at least, that is not the case. She clearly is still feeling the burn she felt when Luann may have treated her poorly in the past. Now, Bethenny is rich - much richer than Luann will ever be, so she feels she can get even with Luann now? Who's the hypocrite now?
  18. Ha-ha....well, I hope it's math, because we found out tonight that spelling isn't her strong suit (Luann's or Ramon's, either, for that matter)!! I felt badly for Jules - she was trying to diffuse the situation, by using whatever she could, including trying to talk about her ill father, but no one was hearing her!!
  19. I think Bethenny stopped seeing the sockless therapist (Dr. Amadour-?)....and she should be running back to him, ASAP!
  20. I'm surprised we didn't hear Bethenny yelling at everyone "Go to sleep!! Go to sleep!!" the same way she did on Scary Island. This is starting to make me see that episode in a possible different light. Maybe Kelly wasn't as crazy as we all thought?? (Never mind....I still think that Kelly was batshit crazy!)
  21. Did anyone notice whether or not Bethenny apologized to Dorinda? I think I recall Luann apologizing, but I don't recall Bethenny acting anything but self-righteous. I'm slowly losing any kind of like I may have had for her. She is a perfect example of someone who believes their own press. She got popular being the one who was spunky and snarky, but now, she's just shrill and rude. Bethenny is really becoming a legend in her own mind. Whatever her reasons for disliking Luann, she's entitled to them, but to offensively strike out in the manner she has been doing, well, I'm thinking she's more of a snake than Luann ever was or will be. I think repeatedly screaming "You're a whore!!!" at another woman is really low.
  22. I'm thinking that Bethenny is actually jealous of Luann, and the life Luann is living right now. Luann has it pretty good - she has some money in the bank, she's HAPPILY and AMICABLY divorced from her husband, her kids are doing well, and she's living a free and single life, dating, having sex when and with whom she pleases. Plus, and this is a big one - Luann actually seems to be in a very happy place in her life right now - so far away from where Bethenny is.
