  1. When the group dinner was winding down, and the women were saying they didn't want to stay, but they needed a ride back, one of the charter guests very lewdly commented "We'll make sure you get a ride" (or something like that), and then performed a hand gesture that I have only ever seen a middle school boy use. I thought that was pretty crass and rude for a supposedly rich, classy adult male. I think the women thought so, too, and were glad to have had their 15 minutes of fame, but wanted to get off that yacht as quick as they could.
  2. Lamb chops wouldn't be the first thing on my breakfast choices, but then again, I wouldn't order them for dinner, either, as I'm not much of a fan of them. I wondered if the lamb chops had been defrosted the day before for the charter guests' dinner, before they knew that there would be additional guests, and Ben figured he would cook and serve them for breakfast so they wouldn't go to waste.
  3. I think Vicki is secretly hoping that Brianna and her jerk-face asshole of a husband will divorce and Brianna and her boys will move back home with Vicki.
  4. So happy this is back on, but I'm hoping that Jill Kargman will tone down the annoying....she seems to have acquired a little more confidence in front of a camera, and is definitely a different actress than she was last season. So, did Lex and Brooke get divorced, or are they just separated? I don't remember them getting a divorce. Can't wait to see what this season will bring, though! :-)
  5. I don't really see Landon as being Shep's type, either. Personally, I think that Cameran is more Shep's type (if she was available). I think Shep needs a woman who is a little stronger and more intelligent than the lazy shrinking violet that is Landon.
  6. As he should. I'm not a huge fan of JD, but I think he was a bourbon drinker anyway, so it makes sense if he's going to order a drink on TV, might as well push his brand. I'll be curious to see if it's offered for sale here in the North, though, or if it's only a regional thing. I'm a vodka drinker, and I have a bottle of vodka that I bought in Lake Placid, NY, that is only sold in that part of the state. It is produced by a small distillery there, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Just as Bethenny does, Ramona does with her pinot grigio, Lisa Vanderpump does with her wines, etc, JD should take every opportunity to market his brand. It's just funny to me that you don't really see the other men ordering or drinking it when they get together, LOL!
  7. Hey, Landon - no matter how much you whine and cry, Shep will never fall in love with you. Whining to him that he will eventually wind up as someone in his 50's, and then marrying a young girl just to have kids was so off the mark. Shep is enjoying his life, and he realizes and is okay with the fact that he is a commitment-phobe. Shep will change his tune only when he meets the girl that will knock his socks off (when Shep does wear socks, which I don't think is often). First of all, I don't think that Shep would be able to handle Landon's whiny voice and dolphin laugh for more than about one week. Plus, I think that Landon would annoy the hell out of Shep's Mom, who seems like a very nice lady. Next season, I think we will see Landon making a play for Whitney, because she is just that desperate.
  8. Yes...that was it! Thanks for paying more attention than I did, LOL!! :-) I actually like her reply even more now! Kelly's comment was snarky and insulting, especially given the fact that she had only met Shannon less than five minutes prior.
  9. Oh, Lord - Thank you, Juneau Gal for mentioning Rodan and Fields. I just got a text from someone I haven't seen in two years inviting me to "experience the wonderful skin products" she has been using that have taken years off her face! Will be replying with a definite "No" to that one!! Maybe Jim and Megan can sell Longaberger baskets next - does Longaberger make a big enough handbasket for all these women to go to hell in? ;-) When Kelly said "University for Spoiled Children", Shannon, without missing a beat, replied "No, University of Superior Successful Children" (I'm pretty sure that's what she said). I was just impressed with the quick comeback! :-) EDITED for correct information. :-)
  10. Maybe she got them from that girl, Jenna, that was on in Season One? I recall she wore a lot of those kind of gloves, and I think she was supposedly starting some kind of business designing them? I agree - they looked totally ridiculous, especially with her matronly-looking ball gown. I get that she was trying to hide some post-baby weight, and the dress was nice, but it looked matronly on her, and it was very conservative. If she had been wearing something more edgy, maybe those gloves would have been appropriate, but not with that dress! I thought it was funny when they were showing all of the cast getting ready for the ball, they showed a clip of Kathryn pulling those gold gloves on and I immediately thought of a Rocky movie, kind of like she was putting on her boxing gloves, prepping for a fight (I guess that's what the producers where going for). On another fashion note, I thought that Naomi looked absolutely stunning. Ha-ha....I just replied pretty much the same thing! ;-)
  11. I think Shannon's phone case had the University of Southern California (USC) logo on it. I'm assuming that University of "Spoiled Children" is a play on the letters "USC". I loved Shannon's reply to Kelly's comment, though. I don't know if I will like Kelly or not, so far, I'm not crazy about her, but I guess they had to bring someone on who is willing to film with Vicki, since the other women clearly don't. I wish they could have just brought Jeana back as a full time housewife. I hope, like everyone else, that this isn't going to be a season-long apology tour for Vicki.
  12. All I could think of when seeing Kathryn go b.s. crazy at the Founders' Ball was Cruella DeVille. She seemed much taller and imposing than the rest of the women, and at times, she seemed like she was ready to pounce. Thank God there were no little dalmatian puppies around!! ;-)
  13. I would rather hear "text messages" or just "messages" than hear the way they all mangle the word "texts", because it's rare that you hear that word said correctly. Often, it sounds like they are talking about a state (Texas) rather than a message received on a cell phone.
  14. I seriously have no problem with the way Carole, or anyone for that matter, pronounces "kitten", but I cringe whenever I hear ANY of the housewives say the word "texts"!! Why do they ALL (over all the franchises) insist on trying to pronounce that word correctly, instead of just simply saying "text messages", which is much easier???
  15. This whole "kitten" talk had me talking out loud to myself!! I guess I say it the same way...I totally do the whole "lazy t" thing with double t words like kitten, cotten and Manhattan. The "t" sound is not very pronounced. Maybe it is a regional thing....
  16. I think Sonja mischaracterizes a lot of situations. I seriously think that if some random, good looking guy from across the bar catches her eye and gives her a slight smile and nod of his head, in Sonja's mind, they've already hooked up! ;-)
  17. I agree - I'm surprised to hear Tom referred to as a "famewhore", or just wanting to be on TV because there was a quick glimpse of him in Season 1, he's had a few recent dates with Ramona, and he has supposedly hooked up with Sonja for the last ten years (which I don't believe for a minute). If he was so desperate to be on TV, he would have been sniffing around any available housewife, and offering himself up to escort them or date them while the show was filming, and we would have seen as much of him as we did Harry Dubin (blech!!!). I hope that this will work out for both Luann and Tom. He seemed likeable the ONE time we have seen him thus far, and he did seem quite taken with Luann. .
  18. If I remember correctly, didn't that whole thing between Sonja and Harry blew up because he supposedly left one of the cast parties with Luann? Seems like Sonja and Luann have been "dating" the same guys for a while now.
  19. Let's see if the next painting (or any advertisements at all) will have Sonja as the "face" of Tipsy Girl. That is, if it ever actually makes it to market. ;-)
  20. Exactly!! I don't know if it was producer manipulation (telling Luann one arrival time and Bethenny a later arrival) or if Bethenny was really just running late because of her health issues, but that, right there, put Luann in control of the situation. Luann was waiting for Bethenny, which gave her the upper hand right from the start.
  21. Sorry - I misunderstood your post!! ;-) Michael isn't looking so great in my eyes right now...(although, to be honest, I didn't like the way Jules described him in the beginning, saying he only dated models, or tall Russian girls, or whatever the hell it was - it seemed kind of shallow, whatever the description she gave).
  22. I think the point that Jules was trying to make was that she got back late, and her husband hadn't done anything with the kids, like give them their baths, or have them change out of their school clothes, so she had to do it. If I were her, I would have been pissed too. When my kids were young, and if I went out for the day, I expected my husband, their father, to do the routine daily care things, and try to keep them on their schedules.
  23. Isn't it possible that Luann just really didn't want to meet with Bethenny, because she was still reeling from Bethenny's nastiness in the Berkshires? But, she had to meet with Bethenny because the producers told her she had to, in order to kiss Bethenny's ring yet again, and garner good favor and an invitation to Mexico. So, instead of crawling and bowing, she took the upper hand and control of the situation (admittedly, she was nervous about it), by playing the "I'm madly in love" card, and basically throwing Bethenny off her game, and then managed to invite herself along to Mexico. I give her credit - she didn't really give Bethenny a chance to offer or refuse to offer an invitation. Luann was all "Well, good, so I'm going to Mexico with you all, and now, I have a hot date, so, thanks for the drinks, I'll pick up the tab next time", and out the door she went, without even giving Bethenny a choice in the matter. Luann did her job, got her invite, satisfied the producers. got a few jabs in at Bethenny, and is going on the girls' trip, all without being yelled or screamed at (well, Bethenny did call her a meth-head, but, overall, Luann controlled that entire conversation)...as far as I can see, mission accomplished!!
  24. I think that Jules may have grown up with nannies and housekeepers - she mentioned to Micheal that "her Mom didn't do all of this" when she was making eggs and coffee (I think those are the only two things she knows how to cook...). Her panic was probably because she has never had to juggle her schedule before, as it seems she has always had a nanny for her kids. Plus, she was worrying about her father (I'm guessing he was in a hospital in Edison, NJ), and she was wondering how the kids were going to get to/from school, etc. I mean, not for nothing, but Michael's office is right downstairs from their apartment - couldn't he have adjusted his schedule so that she could be with her father and mother, and he could have handled picking up Jagger from school? I guess they don't have friends in the school, where she could have arranged a playdate for Jagger after school, to go to a friend's house until someone could pick him up. I get what you're saying, and agree with you about caring for her children, but in her world, the panic is real.
  25. When Adam pulled out that guitar, I thought he was going to serenade Carole the same way Whitney from Southen Charm did to his beard girlfriend, and start singing "I fucking love you, I fucking love you".... I also wondered if he and Carole put any "secret" ingredients into that chocolate cake so they could continue with their buzz - he seemed like he had just smoked some weed, and I always think that about Carole, so, I wondered if ALL of the ingredients of that healthy chocolate cake will be in the cookbook. ;-) And I agree, Adam's voice grated on my last nerve. I don't like him, and I think he's using Carole for screentime and to get his name/face out there.
