  1. I love you!! ;-) And, I agree--nothing quite like mashed potatoes made with Kerry Gold butter and Irish cream!
  2. Wow - good call! I almost had forgotten about that! Kelly (take your pick of which one - NY or OC) certainly does manage to go off the rails.
  3. I don't know if it was an ambush, although it certainly appeared to be that way, but, on the other hand, Kelly is a grown adult, and if she did not want to drink any alcohol, she did not have to (I don't know if she actually DID drink any of the tequila drinks brought to the table). She could have just let the drink sit there, or just clearly stated "I AM NOT DRINKING TONIGHT".
  4. Seriously....I honestly think that Heather is the only one who enjoys herself and embraces the culture and adventures available on these trips, all the while being gracious and courteous. Along with her breasts. I cannot believe that she exposed herself like that to Terry on Facetime, while those nice gentlemen from the farm looked on. How gauche!!
  5. Does anyone know if there is a rift between Jacqueline and Chris and Caroline (and family)? Interesting that no Manzos were at the popcorn party, and that Ashley mentioned that she texted with Albie about the pregnancy news. She did the same thing for the engagement news, as well. Could it be as simple as Bravo not wanted any crossover between the two shows, or could it be that Caroline is mad at Jac and Chris for going back to RHNJ? Or, that Jac and Chris are mad at Caroline and family for not offering them a spot on their show?
  6. So - Melissa actually did have a nose job!!! (Wow - I LOVE that she called it a "worst kept secret") So glad that cat is out of the bag, finally. But, she's 100% correct - it is no one's business, and it wasn't Jac's news to tell. I don't understand why these women will sit and listen to Kim D. I mean, she is just spewing all the same rumors that have been all over the internet, but she makes it sound like fact. That woman must be soooo friggin' desperate to be on TV that she will do and say anything to try to make herself relevant. Not only that, but she needs to take a few lessons in makeup application. WTF with the eye makeup already? I've never seen eye makeup applied that heavily. And, what was that fashion show? First off, is her new store the place where hookers like to shop? Those "fashions" were horrible, trashy and tacky. I will give one little compliment, though - Kim D. did look nice in the dress she was wearing, but the rest of the stuff - bleck!! And, Siggy needs to step back from the relationship expert-speak. She's coming across a little too strong. "Tell me how YOU are feeling"...."I know YOU couldn't have liked that"...."I know how upset that made YOU feel"....enough already. I also don't understand when the ladies were at dinner with Teresa and they were discussing Joe leaving - it sounded like they were talking about him going to rehab or some health spa for an extended stay, not jail. All of this talk about it being the best thing for him because he won't be drinking, he'll get in shape, etc. - well, all of that is true, except he's going to be behind bars while doing all of that healthy living. And what is up with that whole "going away" party stuff, either - it reminded me of the movie "Goodfellas" or an episode of The Sopranos. Speaking of that going away party - did anyone else catch the look on Kathy's face when she overheard Jacqueline and Dolores' discussion about it? She had to be thinking "Shit, Jac - if you don't want to go, just say the word - I will gladly go in your place - I need more screentime!!" Lastly, I have no words about Ashley and her little "kernel" - just curious as to whether she and her fiancee have set a date for their wedding yet. Or, was that whole proposal staged for the show when she found out she was pregnant?
  7. Was that for the incident I mentioned above, with Penny's husband, when Joe Gorga and whoever when crazy at that event in the salon, where the sinks got ripped off the wall (was that the end of strippergate)? I remember something about Jac and Chris going after that guy because he was trashing them and Nicholas on social media, and she hit the guy with her shoe and he needed stitches or something.
  8. I agree - no wonder she and Danielle Staub were such good friends. Didn't Danielle do some stalking, as well?
  9. I'm confused....wasn't Kim D. a sort of sworn enemy of Jacqueline and the rest of the Lauritas/Manzos? Wasn't she involved in all that stuff with Penny and her husband, when Jacqueline went after that guy with her stiletto? (I think that was the last season Caroline was on RHNJ?) How is it that now, all of sudden, Jacqueline wants to call Kim to verify something, because we all know that Kim D. is the epitome of a truth teller. And, Kim is on again next week - having a meal with Jacqueline, Dolores and Siggy? I wonder how Jacqueline's sister-in-law, Caroline, feels about that? Jacqueline is really whack-a-doo - what the hell was she yelling about at that restaurant? She went from screaming at Teresa to screaming at Melissa to screaming at the both of them? Her jealousy of their relationship was totally apparent. And, what does whether or not Melissa had a nose job (or, did Jacqueline say FOUR nose jobs) have to do with the argument at hand? It was ridiculous - and very much like high school, as Melissa said. What was worse was Jacqueline having Kathy to her house to spill all the ugly details of that dinner. Siggy and Dolores annoyed me tonight - they got all emotional and worked up over something that had absolutely NOTHING to do with them, didn't involve them at all, and shouldn't have been interfering in.
  10. This was filmed last winter, when we, on the East Coast had one of the mildest winters ever (I was a happy camper!!). The weather was very moderate, with very few below freezing days, so it made sense that just a fleece or a heavy sweatshirt would suffice. I went most of the winter without pulling out my down jackets/coats. In NJ, we had only one big snowstorm, and that snow melted in about 48 hours. I think it was close to or over 70 degrees on Christimas Day (I remember this because we were all sweating wearing our "Ugly Christmas Sweaters" at my family get together). I know the ski resorts in Pennsylvania were hurting because of the temperature and lack of natural snow - I'm sure Vermont was the same for most of the season, too.
  11. Wasn't there, in a past season, another group with a guy with ridiculous guests that did penny stocks, and also "made millions", but in reality, the millions were made by selling his money-making scheme online? And, I think those guests were pretty obnoxious, too, if I remember correctly.
  12. Loved that - sounded like Ben has been taking snark lessons from Captain Lee! ;-)
  13. I agree. I've done tasting menus of only 6/7 courses with a larger group than that (business function), and we literally are sitting for 3 hours. It's a long, drawn out affair - not just about the food, but the presentation, resting between courses, wine pairings, etc. I don't think they did wine pairings, but it's still not your usual app/salad/main/dessert timeframe. And, I was about ready to pull my hair out and scream by course 4 - I'm not a gourmand or a fancy food eater, so sitting through all these multiple courses with only two-three bites of food in each was torture for me! I am a kind of picky eater (nowhere near the difficult guest though), so there was a lot of cutting things up and moving them around on the plate to make it look like I ate them! ;-)
  14. Me too...although I think that Ben thinks that 7:00 pm is too early for dinner. Your timing is perfect to me, but I may want a little midnight snack type of stuff if my guests and I were drinking after dinner.
  15. I didn't understand the whole dynamic of that group. They were very strange. I also don't think they actually have ever sat through an entire 12 course tasting menu before, either. I think it was just something that the lead passenger thought would be a "classy" or "sophisticated" thing to do on a yacht. Also, it isn't exactly something that a tween/teen would really appreciate, although she seemed to be more interested in it than the difficult guest (still cannot figure out exactly what the hell she does eat?). A nouveau riche snobbish bitch.....
  16. I wondered how much Melissa got paid for wearing that ridiculous thing from the company that made it. It wasn't even that cold (they all commented on the lack of cold), there wasn't a lot of snow, and they were cross country skiing, not downhill, so no real wind whipping around either.
  17. I still can't figure out exactly what the fight between Robyn and Jacqueline was about - does anyone else know? Jacqueline is trying so hard to maintain her status. WTF is wrong with her? Good for Siggy and Dolores for trying to keep the peace. Also, Kim D - still a shit stirrer and still trying to be relevant - but, at least she has a nicer store now, and it doesn't look like her inventory fell off the back of a truck on it's way to a department store somewhere (I used to think that all her inventory was illegally gained, a la "The Sopranos".) Loved, loved, loved Joe Gorga on skis. I'm assuming they were all cross-country skiing, so that will be his excuse for not doing as well as he professed. I think that is the funniest thing I've ever seen on a RH franchise - it even wins over Luann on a camel in Morocco or Vicki getting hit in the head with a football. Teresa has been looking really good this season, but at breakfast before the dog sledding, she looked exhausted and had huge circles/bags under her eyes. I think the stress of Joe leaving is starting to get to her, but, good for her that she remained calm and above the shenanigans that occurred at the firepit. ETA: Kathie and Rosie WHO?
  18. You said it - I don't like either of them - the pants remind me of MC Hammer and the jackets also remind me of the huge oversized "Boy George" jackets with slouchy shoulders that I wore in the 80's. Is it that these type of garments are easier to sew? I would assume they are easier to fit on the model, as you don't have to worry so much about tailoring and fitting to the model's body. I guess, again, I am woefully unfashionable, because I just don't think these looks are good for anyone.
  19. Prison jumpsuit is a better description than I had - my mind went to baggy overall jumpsuit that a mechanic would wear. I was disappointed in the runway - I didn't think there were many outfits for "every" woman, or what everyday, normal sized, average women would want to wear.
  20. We just went through a move, too, mcm! Downsized to a much smaller home - if I had the money, I soooo would have had the movers pack for me as well. I'm sure that's what is happening with Shannon, and the packing scenes were just for the show. You're better than me - it took me about three months, but I moved slowly until we were totally under the time crunch. I would pack two or three boxes a day for a couple of weeks, and then, get sidetracked (Hey - it was summer and the beach was calling, LOL!!). But, if I had to do it, I don't know if I could have done it all in ten-twelve days without some major outside help.
  21. See - that is one of the things I really like about Luann. She, for the most part, is willing to move on from the arguing and fighting. She apologized to Bethenny for putting out the wrong information regarding Bethenny's relationship, and she is willing to forgive the horrible way Bethenny treated her and the nasty things Bethenny screamed at her (I don't know if I could forgive and forget that easily over that situation). Is it because she needs a paycheck, or is it because she is the type to just get over it and move on? Either way, whatever the reason, she is reasonable and mature. Bethenny, on the other hand, wouldn't give an inch - she owed Luann a much better apology than the half-assed one she threw Luann in the Berkshires, and it wasn't forthcoming. Saying that she has her own opinion, and won't apologize for that is childish. It's okay to have an opinion, but it's not okay to scream it from the rooftops in a tawdry way. Bethenny could have apologized in a way that would come across as sincere, while still holding on to her opinions. All Bethenny had to say was "I'm sorry that I snapped and called you such nasty names." Simple and to the point. Bethenny is such a narcissist that she will NEVER admit that she is wrong or that she did anything wrong. She needs to realize this now, otherwise, she is going to be a very lonely woman as she gets older.
  22. I wonder if they all went out for a friendly dinner and drinks afterward, like they did after last season's reunion? Somehow, I don't think so! ;-)
  23. I actually thought that the green plate design was the best of all of them. Yes, Jenni's laugh is going to get annoying very, very quickly (it's already annoying). I also didn't like the girl who is into preserving the earth, or whatever she said. I'm all for being eco-aware, but she really gave a nasty look and tongue lashing to Laurence (?), when she said she likes to work with leather.
  24. I really like Tasha, but wasn't crazy about her outfit. Really - I thought the dropped crotch pants thing was over already - it seemed like more than several of them incorporated some type of dropped crotch pants in their audition looks.
