  1. The sprouts don't bother me too much - half the time, I don't even notice it, until it's a close-up of her or it's her talking head segments (and, then, I immediately think of the old TV show "My Favorite Martian", where Ray Walston's antennae would pop up out of his head). I'm more bothered by Hawaa's green eyebrows, multiple face piercings and that horrendous blue lipstick. I get individuality, but I'm just not a fan of facial piercings like hers and the dyed eyebrows and garish lip color do her no justice at all. Oh - I loved Allie's outfit too - it was an updated look from the late 50's, with the cigarette pants under a full skirt, and I loved that look. I especially loved the hem treatment - it did resemble flower petals.
  2. I was wondering if Kim was planning on strategically "hiding" the security tag and then returning the dress after the shower. (I had a relative that did that on several occasions).
  3. I wondered about this as well. When the group was at the winery doing the tasting, Brittany really had no clue about the different kinds of red wine. I don't drink wine, except for an occasional glass of pinot grigio or chablis, but even I know that there are different kinds of wines. She was totally confused with the red wines. I think she even referred to a Malbec as a "Maybach", which is a type of Mercedes, no? I would think that if you are a server at an "upscale" restaurant (Using "upscale" loosely here), even if you don't know the differences between the wines personally, you would at least know the correct pronunciation of the types of wine that are out there.
  4. Summer House = Jersey Shore with money, and some modicum of intelligence. Jax is a douche, and Brittany must be desperate to be on television. He's an over-the-hill frat boy (or wanna-be frat boy) who annoys the hell out of everyone. Loved Arianna explaining to Brittany what "misogynist" meant. "Does that word mean that he gives me massages?"....Brittany is just too cute! And, why did Lisa talk Lala into staying? Best part of the episode - no James, at all! :-)
  5. I wasn't a huge fan of Nick and Rene's outfit. I agreed with Christian when he said the under pieces (looked like leggings and a small top) seemed almost dated, or something like that. I have a feeling that either Nick or Rene are going to be eliminated next week, just because of the Tim Gunn save with A'kai and then the comment about Hawaa (sp-?) that was clearly edited in afterward. Usually, the person with the TGS is not eliminated the week after the save is used.
  6. That was beautifully done. expertly executed and tailored, and perfect for an avant-garde challenge. Not so perfect when tackily done, with shiny, sequinned embellishments on ugly pink fabric for everyday wear (are you listening, Erin - winner of this season's regular PR?) I thought they were smart in their fabric choices - they used industrial felt, which I assume is very heavy and lends itself to stiff structuring. This design and the all black futuristic fencing uniform were clearly the best, and it was nice to see that these designs were almost identical to the original sketches.
  7. I do the same thing with both fridges and bookshelves (and, if they are near makeup or beauty products, I do it too). I'm curious to see what kind of stuff they all have! I do wonder, sometimes, with the libraries or bookshelves, if any of their designers buy "books by the foot" to fill the shelves, LOL!!
  8. With Eileen, I always feel that when she says something that is supposed to sound dramatic, she then waits for the "cue dramatic soap music" signal from someone off camera.... ;-)
  9. I shut it off when I saw that Erika and Kenya were the guests...Erika strutted into the new clubhouse like she was entering a WWE ring...trailing a long white fur stole/cape and dropping it before she greeted Andy. (Although, I LOVED how she upstaged Kenya with that move!!!) ;-)
  10. Loved that too....plus the fact that there was actually REAL food and condiments in her fridge - not all strategically arranged and placed just so, ready for a photo (Yolanda's glass door refrigerator) - just sort of in there where it would fit - like a normal person's fridge.
  11. Dorit can just shut the fuck up with that "I don't recall" bullshit....she and PK were very outspoken in their opinions about Eileen and her grief (and Rinna's as well). And, why the hell was Rinna bringing up Eileen in a conversation about her own father, anyway? The whole thing was so contrived. First, they started out with dinner guests all around the table. Then, we see another shot of the table and only PK, Dorit, Rinna and that other guy (I know he's some kind of reporter/writer or something, isn't he) were the only ones at the table - where did all the other guests go? I was holding out hope for Dorit, and found PK to be mildly amusing until tonight's episode. After tonight, I think they are insufferable snobs and/or pretentious phonies. And, PK is a fucking wanker (thank you, Ken Todd....). "Let's let the 'have-nots' see how the 'haves' live?"...was that PK who said that or one of their rent-a-guests? The guests all looked like they came from Central Casting, for a modern-day version of a "Great Gatsby" dinner. Is Boy George PK's only client? I wouldn't be bragging too much about that, if that's the case. I disagree with Rinna that maybe LVP told PK and Dorit about her drama with Rinna and Eileen. I think that Dorit and PK studied past seasons and bring themselves up to date. I hate to say it, but I kind of liked Erika tonight. She was calm, she was fairly polite, but she does shoot from the side. You don't even know when she's throwing down with you it comes out so unobviously. Good for her for calling Dorit out in a calm, collected manner. Eileen gets in her own way with her words and can't make herself understood. Loved Camille's new house - wish we could see more of her and her house porn!! Loved the scenes with Kyle and her family - they do seem to have their shit together. Surprised we haven't seen Portia yet, though...maybe Kyle is keeping her behind the camera for a while? Very little LVP tonight....I guess we had to have the set up for Eden Sassoon - who has some major duck lip going on - it's hard to understand her.
  12. I'm still somewhat shocked to learn that Schaena actually WENT to college....I mean, did she really attend (and/or graduate) from college, or did she just attend frat parties at a college near where she lived?
  13. I just saw a segment on the Today Show w/Kathie Lee and Hoda, where they said that your tea towel/dishtowel is one of the germiest things in your kitchen--so, for a wedding on this show, it's kind of an appropriate weddding invitation, LOL!!! $18.00 a pop, though, is ridiculous. They looked like cheap, huge bar rags. Don't you think when a guest opens the box, they'll be thinking "WTF"?? I also wonder how many times you can wash it before the printing becomes faded and the towel just looks shabby...just another stupid prop for this "elegant wedding in the woods"....
  14. I don't know who Stassi's long ago descendants are, but I do know that she comes from one of the worse "actresses" I have ever seen. Her mother couldn't have been worse if they were feeding her lines through a ear piece. Nickolai was kind of cool, but I wonder if he, too, had been fed what he should say, and just was more natural about it.
  15. Yes - who the hell was that? She looked like a 12 year old - did she win a contest or something? I kept looking for Fern in the audience, but alas, I think the days when this show actually had some interest from the true fashion world are gone. I would love to see Fern replace Nina as a judge. Also, does anyone know who the girl with the shocking pink hair was (sitting in the front row of the audience)? The camera kept showing her during Erin's runway, and her looks of delight and "ooh and ahh"....
  16. I think that any woman who would show up at a funky downtown cocktail party wearing some of what Erin sent down the runway would also be looked at askance, as if they just come from a costume party.
  17. Yup....and her cute little quip during the explanation of her show...."Project FUNway" - made me want to gag. I disagree with the judges when they say she doesn't take herself too seriously. I think she does take herself seriously, and she is seriously deluded in thinking that she has talent. Ask Erin to make a red carpet dress that doesn't look like it belongs on a Dr. Seuss character, or a pair of fitted, well tailored pants and a fitted jacket with set-in sleeves. I don't think she could do it.
  18. I'm just so happy to see Christian Siriano with his constructively critical, but nice, comments. I'm even warming up to Kelly Osborne, but I think that her taste is somewhat questionable. After this season and last season of Project Runway, this show is a refreshing change....so far.
  19. I noticed that placement as well, and wondered if Erin, with her "quirky sense of humor" deliberately placed it there. Erin winning was no big surprise to me, but her lack of humility did - she could have, like, at least, like, acted, like a little surprised thaat she, like, won.
  20. I don't know if Dorit and PK are just renting that home or if they own it, but something tells me that the kitchen space is not a high priority for Dorit...as long as there is a place where her staff can prepare meals, I'm thinking she's okay with it. Dorit strikes me as someone who would spend more money on a closet/dressing room for herself than on updating a kitchen.
  21. I agree, ZM - while it does appear that Dorit's children are with their nannies a lot, it also looks, at least for the cameras, that she does spend some time with them. And, well, I guess that is the lifestyle of a wealthy family, and that is part of the show - to see how the "other half" lives. (And, as you mentioned, many, many others who aren't wealthy, but need outside/hired care because both parents are working). I also felt that Jagger was having a "terrible 2's tantrum"...he wasn't getting his way, so he cried until he did. I would have some concerns about being non-verbal at his age, but as long as his hearing is fine, my opinion is that Jagger will speak when he chooses to. From what we've seen so far, he seems to have a strong will, and will probably start speaking when he feels he needs to. Right now, all of his desires and needs are catered to, and he gets what he wants by pointing at it. I have a two nieces and a nephew (not from the same parents-different siblings of mine's children) who all were very, very quiet as babies - a few words were spoken, but not many. They all decided (after the age of two) to just start talking then...and in full, complete sentences. There was no abnormalities at all - they just didn't feel like speaking! Do I think that Dorit is the greatest Mom - probably not, but she's not the worse Mom on the planet, either.
  22. I think Erika mentioned that the dress was a {Thierry} Mugler. I would love to see one episode where she doesn't drop a designer's name. It's all sounding very pretentious and noveau-riche (well, I guess she IS that...). And, I agree with you about the baby helmets - I am seeing more of them than ever, too. To me, it seems to coincide with only letting babies sleep on their back or their side, due to the studies about SIDS and infants sleeping on their tummies.
  23. I'm so sorry for your loss, Bronzedog. I, too, felt for Eileen (even though she usually annoys the hell out of me). I am currently going through this with my mother, and it sucks....no other word for it. My Mom is at that stage where sometimes she is aware of what is happening to her, and other times is in her own world. It's horrible when she has the realization, and it's horrible that I almost wish for her to not have it at all anymore. Fucking Alzheimers' and all dementias....
  24. I was wondering that, as well - did Mr. Hill accept the job as head of the royal security detail? If so, than that would make sense as to why we keep seeing this annoyingly precocious little girl.
  25. And, this is why Erin will probably win! I don't care who designed this - it is hideous, imo.
