I think if Sam died (like, for sure) Dean would be suicidal. He'd be a reckless and impulsive hunter until something killed him. John did a real number on him during those formative years. Dean always finds joy in something.... next week he's all tripping on being a Texas Ranger.

I didn't like the Dean passed out on the floor scenario. It's a side of Dean where they go way over the top IMO, similar to the messy eating we get each week. Dean's life is filled with violence, despair and loss yet the guy still finds joy in almost anything.... even a rainbow slinky. I admire him so much for that trait and wish I could be the same. But they could've had him walk through the motel door that morning, looking haggard, hair tousled, shirt untucked, etc., and saying he decided to check out the reviews... or whatever.

I just wish they'd make the bunker secure... and utilize some of the intel stored there. Otherwise blow the place up. I'm tired of it. It doesn't even look comfy.... those windowless, cold bedrooms. Who'd want to sleep there? Plus having to come up with all the nonsensical reasons why folk like Kevin and Cas cannot stay overnight.

Rowena (in small doses) grew on me. She started out a bit like the witch in a Disney film, but fortunately dialed it back after a while. There's something oddly attractive about a character that's full blast selfish and egotistical. I bet they wish they could get Mark back too. Whenever he posts at twitter there's always a rash of "I miss Crowley" tweets.

I think Dabb is that fan club all by himself. Dean was always a bit of a neat freak. Dabb sees Dean about as deep as a puddle. His sticky fingers were all over that bacon scene. I wish Jensen didn't go along with it. I was talking with a friend that also watches the show (casual viewer, tho) and we had a laugh thinking about the strippers at that strip club. My friend said - can you imagine them all fighting over who gets the lap dance with the tall handsome dude that just walked in. Let's face it, very few patrons of strip clubs look like Dean Winchester. I'll bet he was real popular. (Let's hope Dean rode back to the motel in a cab.) I thought they spent too long with the 2 boys at the mansion TBH. We've seen those scenes a hundred times before. And wouldn't that big empty mansion be a meth house by now? Freaked out druggies a lot more dangerous than a masked ghost with a drill. I still prefer Death over Billie. Although Death held a certain respect for Dean, he interacted with him as if he were - well, bacteria. Something to be brushed off his coat. Billie talks nice, but it's still snotty. Lots of why's and WTF's but still the best episode of the season so far for me. I try to 'let it go' while viewing Supernatural and most other shows.

Bet that was an ad lib.

This episode deserved more. But I think it's true that the previous week's offering has a lot to do with ratings. And last week was weak. Could be 0.7 next week with Cas fans tuning en masse in for their favourite.

Yeah - the point she makes about the light hitting Dean's face at that moment. Loads of little attention to detail morsels like that. It was a well crafted beautiful thing. Overhead shots, beautiful Baby... things like that.... They must've found some unspent budget somewhere.

The cowboy boots .... I mean, Dean's got the legs !! I can't wait.... even if it sucks.... should be bloody awesome to watch. Yahoooo!!

I've watched it 3 times in a row. Haven't done that since Regarding Dean. You see little things - like when they're creeping forward with flashlights, Dean checks behind him - as anyone would in real life, but in TV-land the creeping person in a creepy house rarely looks behind. Jensen does this stuff. I wasn't keen on the actress portraying Billie at first. I thought she overdid it. But I loved those Bone Weary Dean scenes last night. Jensen brings out the best in fellow actors. It was a brilliant scene. As was the scene with Sam. And it was cool that Dean was given the job of talking to the kid. And - YAY - we didn't have to sit through the life history of the monster in the mask. And the Baby shots were beautifully done. I'm so happy this morning I'm not even going to harp on Dean (again) with food dangling from those sumptious lips. Hope the ratings are good. Anyway, I'm a happy camper this morning despite waking up to 5 cm of snow ! Thank you Yokey! Dabb must've been on holiday or something when this episode was produced....

This episode was all about Dean. The monster was where it should be.. The B plot. I loved it! Gonna rewind and watch again.

Buffy staked the vampire and it turned to dust.. How come there wasn't a pile of clothes left? Lol
-
In the episode with Magnus the shifter just shifted, no skin and bloody goo or anything. Much more practical than leaving piles of skin everywhere.

Sam pretty much had to kill her and Dean would've done the same thing if the situation had been reversed. However it's the aftermath that's different. In that scenario Sam would've stomped off in a hissy fit. Dean would've been dragged through the mud by writers for killing Sam's kith and kin, he would've had to apolgise for the rest of the season. It would've been a Big Deal plotwise. But - it was Dean's flesh & blood that died - so what the hay.... ? He gets over things. And of course there's that pretty childhood friend he knifed so coldly.

S02.E11: Aftermath of Aftermath

I thought it was the law that children attend school. How does the Co$ get around this? Apparently none of the children born into the cult have received any formal schooling - although to their credit they all seem articulate and intelligent. I'm sure their work ethics are phenomenal too. -
Cops hold flashlights up close to their face at ear level. The boys used to do this too. I always thought it pretty cool. Do you think the guy with the drill is upset because Dean didn't apologise for something?
-
They used to hold flashlights like the cops?

S02.E11: Aftermath of Aftermath

It was wonderful episode. I'm hoping there's a mass exodus and the Co$ crumbles to the ground. It's awesome that the folk inside this expensive book club are able to actually watch Leah's series, it must be quite the wake up call. I have to say, tho, that everyone we've seen that has left appears wealthy and not destitute at all. Ramina was elegantly and expensively dressed. I don't think the Co$ got all her money. Keep it up Leah! -
"At this point I'd even take them having Dean snap and become a full on big bad." My phone won't let me do quotes for some reason. But I'd go along with this for sure. Would make s nice change frm everyone nagging at Dean to be nicer and dismissing his pain. Yeah.. Snap Dean. Flip out. If anyone has good reason it's you. You do crazy so well. Lol

All I know is that I used to record this show and watch The Walking Dead. Now it's the other way around. I know we're being manipulated to a certain degree... but this is way more entertaining than Daryl and the zombies.

Clap your hands is a favourite of mine too. I don't even have to fast forward through some scenes because they're all good. When I rewatched this one I watch it all from beginning to end. Sam not knowing he's supposed to be compassionate, and Dean not sitting on the bed, and tinkerbell.
-
These brother 'talks' are the backbone of the show. They were different in the beginning. Sam urged Dean to open up and Dean sometimes did. He allowed himself to be vulnerable. Sam also seemed more understanding in terms of the way his brother handles grief (violence & alcohol mostly). But today's Sam appears irritated and annoyed with Dean all the time, he makes digs and remarks but what's worse he displays this faux tolerance and patience. If season 13 was actually the first season of the series - I would view each brother as light years away from the Sam and Dean I knew in the beginning. Dab & crew view Dean as some sort of closed off bully who needs to change. It's becoming very frustrating for Dean fans to watch. The writing focuses too much on the B story, even the wraith got his ten minutes to outline personal aspirations. There's too much left unsaid when it comes to S&D.

The mother that gave her 14 year old daughter drugs and encouraged sex at 12... How come she wasn't taken away in handcuffs? I felt so bad for the girl... She's going to have a difficult time ahead.

But don't you think this sounds more like Sam's MO? Sam left Dean to rot in purgatory and Kevin to face torture with Crowley. He quickly assumed there was no hope and went about his life. But this time he's the one that's got all this sudden hope? Doesn't mesh with his character IMO. But it doesn't matter really. It's all a contrivance for the brother 'scenes', and both actors are knocking it out of the park... so I shouldn't complain, even tho Dean's constant apologising is getting a bit hard to bear. I was puzzled by this too? I think they forget. (Another episode - when Jack healed from the tattoo- wouldn't the ink still remain? When you have a tattoo it heals and scabs for a day or two, but once healed you're left with the ink markings).
