I did notice Miss Huang was picked up by a driver and Helena has a driver. I thought he had likely driven people to bad ends but also some people to work. But be felt guilt when some of the people he drove disappeared without a trace.

Well the actual point is that the Ukraine is at war with Russia because Russia started a war taking over Ukrainian territory. Trump’s plans to end the war involved giving Russia the territory, which should noy have been an issue because Ukrainia apparently was wrong to defend itself in the first place. so, also, if the US decides to make Canada a state, Canada should just permit it, I imagine. It is the diplomacy of bullies. his plan to end war is not acceptable. I have heard enough people talk about how shows look dated. The ‘80s had particularly distinctive styles, but people are still talking about the fashions in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, too. And flipphones take them out of the story completely. Or, Kier forbid, a gigantic satellite handset. Can barely watch!! The original Battlestar Galactica had telephone headsets and levi jean jackets. so if I was making a show like Severance the first thing I would do is try to design the show to avoid looking dated, and one way is to design your own terminals, which they did, and use old cars, and have people dress in ways that weren’t fashionable at any one time. Just mix it up. It is a plus if the world looks fantastic, add that it is always winter, and it is its own world, with its own look and its own color scheme. I don’t think the old cars mean anything specifically, except that this is a place that used to be more successful when there were manufacturing and mining jobs. Kier is in the ‘Gas Belt’ and it is rusty, and people drive their cars until the wheels fall out. Dylan wanting to buy a new car would be an appalling idea to Gretchen. I’m guessing the severed people have a house because of the job and that they are paid a good wage by the standards of the area, but I doubt they are well paid.

I imagine Kier was a bustling area back when the mines were running. Now it is old restaurants, old fashioned diners, old cars. She is swimming in deep waters, indeed. I find myself worrying how Irving will manage, did he bring money? Are their credit cards, which he shouldn’t use, and ID to get another job. I hope he can contact another antiLumon cell and continue the good fight. If that is possible. He isn’t going to take a train to Svarlsbad or I’d wonder if he’d meet up with Miss Huang. This episode seemed to tie off his story for now, so I don’t think we will learn what happens to him until next year. Miss Huang should have facilitated better and is likely better suited to empathy work, whatever that is, poor Dylan. That was doomed from the start. I continue to think Drummond is an Eagan. I wonder about the egg ritual and if it is an indication of purity. I wonder if there is incest in the Eagan family. I wonder if it is possible to take the export hall and have a different outcome than in the regular elevators. Cobel changed her appearance right at the end, good acting and camera work, and I am frightened to think what that means.
