  1. They had ONE review? That's it? Doesn't sound exactly busy, does it?
  2. what the heck is a cave house? They took dynamite and blew holes into large sheets of rock in the Utah desert and built houses backed up into the holes of the rock (I think). So "Cave" houses.
  3. At the time marijuana wasn't legal in Colorado and I think you could have two plants if you had a medical card (which he does - he uses it for Hep C ). I'm not sure how many plants he had - more than 2- but not a large commercial-type quantity. He got off with probation - didn't serve any jail time - but his house was seized and sold. My dad is in his 90's - the house was willed to my brother by his mother (my dad's) and he still hasn't gotten over that. We always equated it to how Brock Turner rapes a girl and there are practically no repercussions but someone else (maybe a different... color?) rapes a girl and spends 25 years in prison. Our justice system is skewed. But I understand what you are staying... and I don't understand why Kody is such a drama-queen over this!
  4. Someone found the info and posted it here but it's too far back to go looking. As I recall it was something like 470,000?
  5. Granny, did you watch 3 wives and 1 husband last night? It was really weird (and very sad!) to hear the 2nd and 3rd wives talk about their experiences. This BEAUTIFUL wife showed off her wedding pictures and said she sometimes gets sad because she cannot believe that he can love her as much as he loves women he has been together with for 12 years. I think if a woman loves her husband - polygamy just sucks. Period.
  6. I'm with you on having sympathy for Meri. But I don't believe for a minute that she desperately loves Kody. I think she is over him. I like them both.
  7. I'm not positive - but I think this might be regional dialect. I'm not in Utah but Colorado - and you actually hear a bit of that. Also people say "You guys" where the southern folk say "you all" or "Ya' all" when speaking to a group. "Are you guys coming with us, or not?" Used for both sexes.
  8. Those are some beautiful women. The men? Uh...... yeah...... okay.......... It's just like Lydia said. She didn't find Enoch attractive - but liked his kindness and humor and quick mind. But his WIVES were absolutely beautiful.
  9. Doesn't matter. They gave her the money she needed, anyway.
  10. lol. But true - why WAS she in there? Just because you've pushed out a lot of babies yourself doesn't mean that automatically qualifies you to sit on a folding chair and stare at a laboring woman for hours on end.
  11. Ditto. All of the males in my family were Neanderthals. I was VERY discreet when I nursed my kids, but I had to go to another room to do it when we had family get-togethers. Ridiculous. But I didn't feel like making a scene on holidays. And to be honest - (about the labor) I really wouldn't want all of those people staring at my crotch - baby being birthed or not!! lol
  12. Wouldn't you be scared that the baby might have been stillborn? Or something went tragically wrong? I mean - come on! A polygamy family means LOTS of people and lots of noise and chaos. You walk in and hear - NOTHING - and you just shrug and say "oh well. Let's go home and have a banana".??? THANK YOU for bringing this up! That bothered me a bit, too. Hasn't anyone been reading about how newborns have died because someone with a cold sore kissed them? We live in a weird antibiotic resistant world these days.
  13. I think it's about the almighty dollar. My brother lost a house worth $250,000 - which I guess doesn't seem like much compared to what Meri paid for B&B, but it was all he had. He lost HIS house for growing some marijuana plants in his basement - which is a federal crime. If the crime is connected to your car - they seize your car. If it's connected to your house - they take your house. I understand from other posters that Utah doesn't really ACT on these polygamy laws unless there is something else going on (like under-aged brides, etc.) but I don't trust the government a bit when it comes to their "acquisitions" to meet state funding needs. The Browns "flaunt" their polygamy in the "face" of Utah (since Utah has their panties in a wad over this and no other states do) so I could see them taken any property the Browns owned in Utah - if they so desired.
  14. I don't think she was capable of purchasing it on her own. I think she needed some TLC money for it, and for that she had to ask the rest of the family. It is in her name only (and says "single woman") because paranoid Kody is worried that the state will seize the house. And they DO that, too.
  15. Wouldn't that be typical of Tony? So he can beat the crap out of the baby pinata in tribute to his child about to be born. Kind of like beating the crap out of his bride (image) on their wedding day. I guess it would get out all of his aggression towards his baby.
  16. LOL!!!! Enjoyed your post.
  17. I can't wait to hear your thoughts! lol
  18. Did you watch the show that followed? Three wives and one husband? In one family, the wives are always holding hands. I don't think it's a sexual thing at all - not trying to insinuate that. But even their kids were so close you couldn't tell which kids belonged to which mom.
  19. This episode was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. I enjoyed it. I thought Meri's hair looked great, too.
  20. I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet..... Did Kody SERIOUSLY say they could rent out the B&B house for $5000 a WEEKEND for a wedding party? Did I misunderstand something? If Granny Annie is staying there that leaves three bedrooms. Three bedrooms for two nights equals $5000? WHO wants to get married there? What??
  21. Exactly! I had my first with no meds and my other pregnancies I had an epidural. There is no freaking way you can sleep through active labor with NO PAIN meds! I'm not really convinced Maddie was actually in labor in those first couple of days. Maybe so, just sayin'.
  22. LOL! That's the Tammy Faye Bakker look, don'tcha know!
  23. Hopefully there will be other scenes and not just Maddie shrieking for an hour or two. How long is this episode?
  24. It would be "ok" I guess if "BRUSH" weren't his last name. Seriously... they never said the first and last name together? Axel... Brush. Axel Brush. Like the kid is destined to grow up and work at a car wash. It will be interesting if their next baby is a girl and they really DO name her "Hayer".
