Seriously, they aren't thinking. It would save money in the long run. They wouldn't do surgery if the people aren't prepared to do the work necessary. Maybe someone out there can answer this question: If a morbidly obese person has this weight loss surgery and then continues to eat like they have been - since their stomach has been greatly reduced and has scar tissue - does this reduce their life expectancy even more? Because I would think that they are ALREADY going to die in the near future - and this just shaves off even more years! Who is going to win Family Feud?? Who will sit on the iron throne? Will that hoarders house EVER get cleaned up - and will they be able to scrub the mouse pee/poo off of the floors and walls? Will Tom ever catch Jerry? Will Piper stop making stupid decisions and why do they wear orange? The list goes on and on. The stress... OH my gosh... the STRESS!!! ::::Snarks down two dozen donuts and a pan of lasagna:::::::

She has four girls and one boy. Their ages are 14, 13, 11, 7 and 1. We don't know which are the girls and which is the boy - but regardless... ONE of the teens (either 13 or 14) or BOTH have to be girls. I could see him "Marrying" them when they are around 16. They are home schooled and don't have a lot of experience with boys and the outside world so they would be vulnerable.

EXACTLY! So WHAT, exactly, is the point of bringing Melina into the family?!??? So that Sharis can have another close friend? Weird! I also wondered if maybe Melina had been a man who is transgender. She has that weird facial look that Caitlyn Jenner has - kind of male genes altered to look female. And for the record mods - I am NOT attacking the transgender community NOR mocking them in any way - it is a simple observation. Not EVERYTHING people say is meant to be an attack on others. Unless I am snarking on Tony, that is. Then you can take my remarks how you wish. lol

I totally agree with everything you said. And I think if the Alldredges bring her into the family, after the "honeymoon" phase wore off they would all be sorry. In fact I am positive she would just take off and leave them all.... since being considerate and thoughtful doesn't seem to be her M.O. And for the life of me, I can't figure out why Jeff would even be remotely interested in her.

Totally agree with everything you said. Since Dimitri didn't marry Ashley, he doesn't even have to divorce her. When she gets a bit older he will be done with her. And it's an impossible game to win when Ashley and Dimitri know the rules but don't tell the other players what they are. It's also possible that Dimitri went to a club or somewhere and didn't even sleep with Jocelyn so there was nothing to "confess". I doubt it though - he's a dog.

Kody's hair looked even more frizzy and bizarre than usual. Does he do that on purpose? I agree. Just because polygamy isn't for ME.... if it is becoming more acceptable for people of the same sex to marry than these guys should be able to collect wives of LEGAL age. But I think the problem seems to be that so many don't seem to SUPPORT these families financially. What DOES Kody do in the way of ..... (gasp).... I'm going to say that awful four letter word...... "work"?

WAAAYYYYY back when AOL was hot stuff there were email loops. I've been in an email loop with a bunch of women from around the world since 1998. There are women from around the U.S., one from Ireland, one from Japan, etc.) We had a meet up in NYC in August of 2002 and when we got together we all felt like an old group of friends because we shared so much of our lives in emails and talked every single day almost. But I wouldn't invite any of them to live with me. I am only saying that you CAN have friends online that you've never met.... but this was in the past. Ashley is probably talking about a Facebook "Friend", lol.

You mean Ashley. April is Drewfus's wife. Dimitri didn't marry Ashley and he told her like the first day they got together that he wanted a polygamy "tribe". She either goes along with it or she hits the road.... and I get the impression that she wants Dimitri, dick warts and all.

It makes you wonder if he even slept with Jocelyn. They might have just SAID that for shock value.

Sorry if someone else already said this...... Did anyone else notice that for the first HOUR of the show they made a huge deal of asking everyone if they were going to go and support the family..... I mean EVERYBODY... EXCEPT FT and Mykelti? Now why is that? They weren't even mentioned. It was like they don't even exist. Do they live far away or something? And Angela. Auralee and April must have stayed at home to watch the kids.

They did a LONG term follow-up - like 5-10 years.... and NONE of them were successful at keeping off the weight. (At least the people on this show). The closest was Melissa who got sort of/kind of close to her goal weight (She missed it by... I don't remember... maybe 45 pounds?) and then she gained back like 150 pounds long term. Ok, I have to edit this post. BOY was I wrong - and this is one of those times that I am extremely HAPPY to be wrong! That's what other people were saying. But the bottom line is that if you have such thick fat folds that the skin is infected and rotting - it's time to do something about it... and she's really not willing to do anything about it. What if she didn't have a tribe waiting on her hand and foot all day long? What if she had to :::gasp:::: start cleaning house... or (Horrors!) start COOKING for herself and others? That will never happen of course, because she is queen of the maggoty mattress.

The general consensus is that she is rather.... slow.... and maybe reading is difficult for her.

That's not the point of the show. It's just to show drama and crazy situations fatties are in(I'm a fatty BTW). It's just shock and awe for views and it works. I think they also try to get people that have life issue that "caused" them to be fat. If you notice all the intervention shows and hoarding shows always feature someone who had some sort of life changing event happen. You never see anyone that just decided to hoard or do drugs just to do it. Same with this show. It's the best way to get the drama effect and pull people in. The results and success of these people is non-existent. My reply above was in response to people saying they wanted to only see success stories, not failures.

Probably a lot of BIG TIME guilt trips. But I was proud of Danielle for refusing to bathe/change poo pee pads! She flat out refused!
