I had the same thought, as a mother, I don't think I could detach myself from the other of my daughter version, evil or not, that's still my baby, even though it's not, I don't think my heart would be able to tell the difference. I hope they do it justice.

I think this is such a valid point, and the biggest issue facing the next season on Arrow. Now more than ever they can't have a season to season hiatus where they ignore what creates buzz when teasing and hyping their viewers, because I think a lot of people are fatigued.

I need a scene where Samantha is running around the island and bumps into BS and is like "Laurel?........OMG, it's great to see that you didn't actually die, look I just want to apoligise again for betraying our friendship by sleeping with your boyfriend and having his child...........Laurel? You look mad. Oh, you must just be tired, that's quite some yawn..... BS: SREEEEEEEACH.

Yes! I would lose respect for EBR and SA if it turned out to be true. The fact is there is a marriage and child involved, messing with that would be wrong. We have had a few Australian celebs that have had affairs with co-workers/left marriages to hook up with a much younger woman and I don't watch their shows and won't click on articles about them either. It's particularly ugly when kids are involved.

I think it was funny, I think it was a joke, and honestly this is not unusual to me for couples. Granted Australians do enjoy 'taking the piss' even in relationships, so this doesn't make him look like an ass to me, it just makes him look like a typical bloke- one in love with his wife. I did have a giggle to myself how his comment would be dissected and shuffled around by Stemily shippers to somehow prove that he hates his wife, this must be driving them nuts.

Yeah I don't think There was chemistry with Ted. I thought Merlance was OK (perhaps how god aweful Lauriver was in comparison helped it) but I feel like that was Colin carrying Katie, she didn't connect like he did. i think it's a shame that Nyssa already had Sara as her beloved, because KL and KC have great chemistry, I remember being shocked because I had never seen KC gel so well with another actor. But I will never ever ever be on board with sister swapping on this show.

Didn't the 'his conviction speaks volumes to what she means to him' happen during a period that antis claim that Olicity was purely platonic, and there was nothing to indicate that they were heading in a romantic direction? I mean it's pretty obvious that the whole 'Olicity came out of nowhere with no build up' was just another 'Felicity is a manhood stealer' (grasping at straws and reaching about to fall style hating) but it's always nice to add yet another piece of quality evidence to piss the antis off.

Oh yeah, I have seen some hilarious comments, made totally without any factual data to back them up. One thing I adore about the Olicity fandom is that they do their homework, they have their receipts ready and waiting to use. i have been seeing a lot of other fans throwing out comments about how the ratings prove that Olicity ruined the ratings and is actually a small fandom. They get politely but ruthlessly schooled and buried in facts and links as proof, but will just keep stating factual untruths. I hope they do have a fairly smooth path to an Olicity reconciliation, because I am so over the toxic, rather scary at times, behavior from the anti people.

Oh I didn't connect that fear of revival of Olicity to the spike in haters, makes sense now. I had noticed an increase of comments across the internet talking about 'Real Fans' (apparently you don't have to watch the show, or be involved in fandom- you just need to follow the religion of Comics to be a 'real fan'). I also noticed an increase of comments about Felicity taking Oliver's manhood or calling him a 'cuck' because of her. I was wondering why they had renewed in fervor, now I got it, it's the fear of coming Olicity.

No worries @SleepDeprived, I was glad to help. It's weird because the cyclone hit hard above us (here on the Sunshine Coast), we got a doozy of a storm that was a bit scary, lots of trees down, a tiny amount of localised flooding, but below us got severally flooded. Its gorgeous here at the moment, it's hard to picture the devastation above and below us, because aside from a few trees that still need to be cleaned up, and some bare supermarket shelves, everything is normal here.

I think the OTA has done enough propping of her over the years, let's put those noobs to use, they can pull their weight by taking turns as props for her.

Oh that's going to be a train wreck of bad acting. KC is hit or miss when she has someone of quality to bounce off, but whoa this could get messy. I think that KC will camp it up with a sassy bitchy OTT 'bad guy' performance (think JB minus the acting chops and charisma). This is when I realised that they were in their 'we write so goodly' bubble, and hadn't even realised the censure they were getting for poor treatment of female characters. Because erasing a female character to replace her with a male was just the cherry on top of the 'it's-not-mysoginy-we-just-don't-think-female-chraraters-are-as-important' cake.

I think it's very telling when men affiliated with the show either ignore or seek to soothe out right hate from male fans (looking at MG, SA and Bam), but get so defensive or passive aggressive towards female fans politely but assertively making points that are often backed up by cited canon. Its kind of amusing that guys that seem like alpha bros are often more threatened by an intelligent woman than by outright aggressive men. i saw a comment on a recent article (I think it was in the TV line one about Felicity's mask) stating that one of Felicity's 'crimes' was that she took Oliver's 'manhood'. JFC, the male centric comic fandom has some fragile masculinity if they are worried about woman stealing manhood.

It's stupid. He looks like an uber condasending dick. More of the mysoginistic bullshit of trying to paint 'fangirls' or 'shippers' as vapid silly shallow girls. He is straight up playing to the stereotype of male comic fans as 'gatekeepers' of fandom, playing up that myth that these 'girly-shallow-shippers' are to be derided, and are not the 'real fans' because they don't really 'understand' the show. As a showrunner for a show that not only has increasingly poor ratings, and a departing female audience, but also has a reputation for it's poor treatment of female characters, this makes him look tone deaf. It also makes me reassess those claims that female directors don't want to work on the show because it's apparently a massive boys club sausage fest.

That's hilarious! if it was just her making a fool of herself online, it wouldn't bother me. She is giving unqualified opinions based on canon that's loosely linked, she hasn't bothers to become informed before offering negative opinions, the academic in me cringes at that. what I really dislike is that she is fully aware that people use her opinions to legitimize and defend some really aweful behavior online, and she feeds that because it gives her attention.

ROFLMAO. i can't stand her. I will never talke someone who absolutely hate posts about a show and characters that they haven't even watched seriously. She is vocal for attention from some toxic fans about a show she saw a few scenes on YouTube. Perhaps if she had actually watched, she would realise just how comical her comments are.

If they do redeem her into a slightly sassier LL, and she is in the team, it's just one more time they are showing us how easy female characters are interchangeable. One of the issues I had with Dinah was how gross it was they essentially lifted LL out and neatly slid Dinah into her place. The shows history of sliding from sister to sister, then LL SWFing SLs role all bothered me. This is more of the same, it feels like; "If you loved the original Laurel, your going to love her new and improved replacement (now with added sass), it will feel like we never killed her at all.....see how easy she slides right in?"

I don't watch it because I don't like murder shows. Watching shows like that made me really nervous when I lived in America, because instead of seeing typical American houses, my mind would say "ohhhh this looks like that house in that murder show". But Matthew Gubber Grey (think that's the spelling) is hot, and his YouTube stuff is hilarious, like seriously seriously funny. I particually liked his mockumentory about what life is like as a star on the show.

That area has things like beans, tomatoes, pumpkins, melons, and a massive amount of sugar cane. They do get an insane wet season (I lived up there for a while), so if that rain moves inland to the drought stricken west, then it might not be so bad, they might save some crops. So fingers crossed.

Well it hit the Burdekin Shire hardest, and they supply a huge amount of the countries fruit and veges, so I think we could see things get pricey for a while.

The cyclone is further up the coast, but all the way down to the NSW boarder is on high flood alert. We are forecast for 80mls of rain per day for the next 4 days, add that to the deluge coming from upstream and it's a little nerve wrecking. I know that over 50,000 people up the coast have lost power. It's such a huge storm that it's going to hover for 24 hours up north. Its just now getting super dark with black clouds. I am just a couple streets back from the beach, usually the weather here just gets sucked out to sea, but this is going to be a bit of a mess. but I'm not scared or panicking at all. It took a full week of that type of rain during the Brisbane floods for us to be effected here, so if it's only 4 days we should be right.

I think in fandom we also enjoy shows on multiple platforms, twitter, tumblr, fanfic etc, so often kids pick up on what their parents enjoy by listening to conversations, looking at the manips or youtubes their parents are enjoying, and it would only take a few for a child to decide on a fave.
