I have to adjust my previous comment, they’re going to go broke faster if they have to pay support to Nathan for Kaiser, Barb for Ensley (I REALLY hope she doesn’t agree to not be paid by Jenelle and David for Ensley’s care, like she’s done with Jenelle regarding Jace) and Maryssa’s grandmother for her care. For Ensley it’s because David wants his “possession” back. Maryssa went against him, but Ensley is too young to do so. Ensley is so young she’s probably happy to see David. I don’t think Jenelle gives much of a shit (hence dropping Jace) but since David does, she does too. If David decides he doesn’t care anymore then it’ll all be dropped. Ensley is the only one who will probably be back in their care eventually. IF David, inexplicably, decides to follow the orders once they’re given or their county really drops the ball. Hopefully Ensley starts shunning them too and it pisses David off enough to abandon the idea of having Ensley in their care as well. Maybe if they spend enough time apart or with limited contact she will grow less and less attached to them which will piss off David. Sadly, she never really looks “connected” in videos and pictures so there may be issues there already. But that may save her from having to return to The Land. Barb and or Jace need to teach her to run from David so he doesn’t want to see her either. I can’t really remember...has Jenelle actually permanently ended any of her relationships? Or did they all end up leaving her in the end? Agreed! I’m not saying life will be great for long, I just don’t think they’re going to be broke and living on the streets any time soon. Though, I want that for them.... Maybe all this negative attention will push Jenelle into a full blown addiction (I’m sure she pops pills sometimes as it is) and expedite the process. Definitely true but, and this is going to be another unpopular opinion but I also think people overestimate their drug use. I’m not even convinced that David does drugs much at all...I think it’s just his sparkling personality. Plus alcohol. I also think Jenelle is mostly into weed. I’m sure she does other things sometimes but I don’t see her with a full blown addiction to something (other than weed). I think it’s just mostly her delusion and wonderful personality that make her her awful self, as well. Maybe this is changing in light of recent events. And even if they do have full blown addictions, if you’ve ever known an addict it’s amazing how they always manage to keep themselves supplied. I just don’t think everything (if you, like Jenelle, don’t count the kids themselves as “everything”) is going to go to complete shit for them immediately. And I think David is fine being poor as long as they have their stupid land and “freedom.” After reading about what went down with Maryssa I bet they’re amping each other up about how they “don’t need no one” and how everyone is against them. I bet it’s bringing them together instead of the normal reaction which would be to tear them apart.

For everyone assuming Jenelle will be broke soon...she still has 2.9 million followers on Instagram and is still posting all the clickbait, she’s still making money off that. I don’t disagree most of this and neither did my post, my previous post was just addressing the “professionalism” of Nessa bringing in her personal issues. My point with that post was that the issues aren’t just personal when they’re all public figures and there’s no job comparison to other jobs because the job is so specific and niche. I think every single person employed by MTV and Viacom in the production of Jenelle’s scenes is culpable and those with first-hand knowledge, who witnessed things personally, are much more culpable than Nessa, who most likely doesn’t even watch the show. Generally Drew and Nessa are given the questions and clips to ask by production and they ask them and that’s that. It’s been a problem all along. There needs to be a host who will actually ask the hard questions and actually watches this show. Nessa and especially, Drew, the so-called professional, could definitely chose to never participate in this show, however. I know I’d decline the job unless I could ask the important things. Drew, especially, certainly isn’t hurting for money and doesn’t “need” this job. Nessa called Jenelle out on what she had personal knowledge of and I was glad to see Jenelle get called out on something, anything, even if it wasn’t the bigger issues MTV should’ve had Nessa (and Drew!) address - years ago. If Nessa hadn’t tried calling Jenelle out for what she did call her out on Jenelle wouldn’t have been called out for anything at all. I don’t think it was ever either or. MTV was just never going to address the child abuse, just like they haven’t been addressing it for years now. And now they’ll never have to because she’s off the show. I’m a fan of Jenelle getting called out for anything because she’s been such a lucky asshole in never having any consequences.

It really is. It took me awhile to get it - there are, primarily, three types of viewers of this show: 1) Adult viewers like most of us, who are watching for the train wreck/wtf/snark factor because we recognize all these people are train wrecks who just happened to get EXTREMELY lucky (insert Nathan “.....who won the lottery” quote here) with this show but are otherwise unremarkable in every way, aside from the sheer awfulness of some of them 2) Young people who haven’t lived long enough to know what they really think or have an informed opinion about anything 😬 That’s just the easiest way to put it. Young people who don’t know diddly about being a twice married 28 year old “mom” of 3 but like the cast and watch the show and then come with their adoration on social media that makes no sense. 3) Adult viewers who actually find these people inspirational. Aspirational even. It’s often said that these viewers are probably in situations similar to that of various TM cast members and there’s probably something to that. If you’re uneducated, in your late 20s, with multiple failed marriages and multiple fathers or mothers for your children, living in a rural area without much hope for advancement maybe it is nice to see someone like Leah “thriving” on MTV. A lot of people seem to admire people just for being on tv or famous. So maybe these viewers automatically see Leah or Jenelle as successful and aspirational because they’re “just like me” but then better because hey, they’re on tv and have money! These viewers are strange to me. Vanderpump Rules has the same type of viewership, IMO. I’d say half the people watch that show because they’re all train wrecks and wtf to them and the other half find them an actual inspiration. It’s startling. Maybe this is the real divide the country should be discussing. 😆

It’s a moot point at this stage because nothing has been set up but if Barb did set up a GoFundMe or, more likely, someone else sets one up for her, I don’t see the harm. Donating is a choice that people are free to make or not make. Barb is now raising a second child that isn’t her own. I’m not seeing any shadiness, what would even be the harm? There have been GFMs made for FAR less noble causes and it’s definitely possible that some of the viewers/“fans” who have seen and heard what the kids have been through would want to donate towards their future care or even Barb’s legal bills to try and keep the kids away from Jenelle and David. I don’t think any GFM is really shady unless they’re lying about circumstances to get people to donate. Otherwise it’s simply whether or not each individual finds whatever cause worthy or not.

Queue up the head shaving by Jenelle and David in 5...4...3...2...1... 😆 But unfortunately they often DON’T demand follicle tests and users simply take the test and then do their drug of choice right afterwards, generally assuming they won’t get another for a bit. I know someone who has inexplicably managed to beat every single urine test even though we all KNOW she’s still using. They really should switch to the hair test, maybe other jurisdictions do? Ultimately I agree with @Tatum though, that David won’t even want to agree to do anything because even that will be too much of a concession to his ego. David’s ego is their ultimate downfall. 👏🏻
