  1. Whoever Maya is, she’s connected to Felicity somehow (and clearly not just a business partnership, given her reaction to the whole “Felicity’s dead” thing), which already makes her a better character than maybe everyone else in the FFs and most in the present. So even if she’s not Olicity’s daughter (and I’ll be disappointed if she’s not, to be honest, but whatever), I’m still interested enough that I’d rather see more of her and less of Dinah in the FFs (sadly I don’t think I’ll get my wish).
  2. They'd probably also save time in the FFs/episodes if they'd stop saying how evil Felicity became, how dead she totally is and how those plans are definitely hers.
  3. RG's photos just remind me that, yes, Arrow did get Michael Emerson and basically waste him. Makes me so mad/bitter every time I'm reminded of that.
  4. ... Seriously? Uh, her hatred/actions had direction. No one else’s actions did. Unless this person thinks that her hatred for Diaz is why she presumably becomes evil in the future? Which doesn’t make sense either. And I’m assuming then this person thinks everything Dinah says is 100% fact. (Which means they don’t watch much TV?)
  5. Same. And then when she has friends, they take them away. (Rory. Alena.) It’s so sad that right now, the closest thing Felicity has to a friend in the present is Laurel, someone who has tried to kill her multiple times. And in the FFs, I guess we can assume Black Star was/is friendly with her based on what we saw from her reaction to news of Felicity’s “death.” Even with several people around in both times that should be her friend. (This doesn’t mean I want them to make Curtis her friend (again). I’m already bitter enough.)
  6. The sad truth is Felicity doesn’t actually have anyone to talk to right now. I wish they’d used this moment to demonstrate that, but sadly, nope.
  7. Yep. Remember in season 4, they acted like Felicity was the only one in the relationship with money. She funded his campaign. She funded the team. What if after Oliver and Felicity got married, Samantha decided she wanted child support? Going off of how they acted about their financial situation, Felicity could have easily found out about William when she had to pay Samantha. . The show kept acting like Samantha was a good person when she wasn't. She hid Oliver's son from him for years. She told him she had a miscarriage. If Oliver hadn't seen them in CC, he may have never found out (or may have when Thea found the check?). What if Malcolm found out on his own, told Darhk, and then William was kidnapped? Again, Oliver would have only found out if Darhk told him. Samantha wasn't even going to tell Oliver his son had been kidnapped. He had to reach out to her when she knew first (and I think for a couple days?). Yet you know if Felicity had done the same thing -- say she'd had a kid and given him/her up for adoption/left him/her with the father (assuming it wasn't Cooper/that whole history) -- she would've been vilified. Yep. That's why I think it would've been better if Felicity brought up the fact that she had NO ONE watching out for her. It looks like Diggle took ARGUS protection off Felicity the moment she walked out of ARGUS in 702 and he never even bothered to check in on how she was after. Dinah has been more concerned about Laurel's safety (the safety of the woman who killed her BF and was the reason she and the rest of NTA were willing to physically hurt OTA -- and did hurt Diggle -- last season). Instead of Oliver being upset about Felicity having a gun, I wish the conversation had included why she has all these security measures in their apartment. He could've still been upset, even though he should think about everything Felicity has accepted about him in the past, but it would've made for a better conversation. Oliver had all these people in his corner when he did stupid stuff (as long as they weren't affected, like Diggle was mad at him after S3, which was understandable, but 100% on his side for the BMD). Felicity had NO ONE, and then the one person who should've been on her side had a problem with what she was doing to keep herself alive. (Let me just add that I'm still so, so bitter about what Arrow has done to the Felicity/Diggle friendship and that I'm bitter that I don't expect them to address any of that.) (Wow, I don't think I realized just how bitter I still am about that, since I just went on that tangent.)
  8. I think another problem is that I don’t like most of the characters in the present either. And the two I do like are obviously going to be MIA from the FFs for awhile. So I’m stuck disliking characters in the present, especially because of how they’re treating Felicity, and then we go to the FFs, where characters are just constantly trashing Felicity (and Oliver).
  9. Also think of it this way. Say we take the FFs at face value and pretend Dinah’s telling the truth and Felicity’s dead. They’re acting like Oliver is probably dead too. So if there is a happy ending, it’s for ... Dinah? A character I can’t stand at all? Am I supposed to care about that? The FFs make me bitter because every episode with them they keep acting like Felicity was totally evil (and is definitely dead) and I wish Roy and William would keep questioning that but they just don’t. I was happy to get Roy back but honestly? Not like this. And I feel like I’m not supposed to only like one character (Black Star) so far in the FFs, especially not one not in the present, but that’s where I am. There’s keeping a mystery and then there’s just misery. This is the latter.
  10. Definitely agree about E2 Laurel being DA. It really felt like they went, "We need Laurel to have a career because we're giving them out like candy to everyone in Star City at the beginning of the season, we want Laurel and Dinah to interact and we need a lawyer at some point to present an argument in court to free Oliver from prison. Hmm... Hey, we can kill two three birds with one stone!"
  11. I just hope that whoever Black Star turns out to be that we can't go back and go, "Well, because of X, Y, Z, etc., that doesn't make sense at all." Really, I just hope that in their attempt to keep what's going on in the FFs a mystery that that's not the case for everything about them.
  12. Clearly Felicity will travel back in time just to get shot so that Laurel can be her and Oliver’s surrogate.
  13. That’s ... terrifying actually. I do have to say, speculation about Black Star’s parents aside, I have noticed that a lot of people agree that these FFs are just depressing.
  14. As ridiculous as the “Black Star is Oliver and Laurel’s kid” comments are — please tell me how those two are going to go from hating each other to having a kid together in the next year and good job ignoring Oliver telling Felicity she’s the love of his life and that’s not going to change in the last Arrow episode — the “Felicity is definitely evil” ones I’m seeing on a few articles are worse. Mainly because I’m also seeing comments that Beth confirmed that when she clearly hasn’t because we haven’t gotten any quotes from her since 701.
  15. Well, we know that we're going to get at least one scene with Oliver, Dinah and Rene from that BTS photo, and after 708, that one scene will be enough for me. I don't need more of that trio. Ever again.
  16. I remember when I liked KA. I remember when I was excited about him joining Arrow. Since then, he and his character have been such disappointments.
  17. Oh, definitely. It'll be the motivation Curtis needs to suit up again. *rolls eyes* Because you know, he's totally helpful and necessary in the field. Also, we've probably been getting these Diggle/Curtis scenes so then Diggle can feel bad about Curtis's BF's death because of Diaz ... just like he felt guilty in S4 about Laurel's death.
  18. I feel like a problem with the FFs is we’re also not really getting much new information about the characters I care about. Every episode, they basically repeat that Felicity is totally evil and dead — but not why she “changed.” Oliver and Felicity left William and he’s right to hate them — but not when or why. They’re drawing out this stuff and it’s just annoying. And now the BTS photos just confirm we’re going to be getting more Dinah in the FFs. I feel like I should just expect Dinah to be all over the FFs from now on, and they’re apparently part of the series from now on. I’d like to hope they could kill her off in a FF, but I’m not counting on it. (This was more bitter than I expected it to be.)
  19. I feel like if LoT is cancelled, some people would expect Sara to return to Arrow, which just wouldn't work at this point.
  20. Yep. If Malcolm ever comes back, there better be Felicity/Malcolm scenes. If there aren't, I don't care how they bring him back, even if it makes complete sense (which, let's be realistic, it wouldn't), I'll probably hate it. I have always liked how John talks about the Felicity/Malcolm dynamic, and I'm happy to see that hasn't changed.
  21. Oh, yeah, I'm definitely bitter about this because I have no idea why they decided they had to link it to QC/S2. Why not say Oliver knew her from one of his colleges, back when she was studying journalism or something? At least it would've made sense for him to sleep with her then.
  22. I do think we’re going to see Emiko in the FFs before we see Oliver or Felicity. We’ll probably see everyone in the FF before Oliver or Felicity.
