If the others find out what Susan knows, I'm half-expecting it to happen while Oliver's with her at the end of the episode, maybe the scenes right before something with Prometheus? And how sad is it that part of what we know about an episode includes Lance and Thea being in it or not? Just think about what that says about this season.

I can understand this, especially after Felicity told her father she hated herself growing up in 413. It's like they completely forgot about that scene when it came to Felicity's reaction to Donna's lie. And that was what, only 7-8 episodes before?

This has been my problem with LoT this season. The Legends can't really do much to Darhk unless they want to erase all of S4 of Arrow, so what are they going to do with him at the end of the season? He has to get married and have a kid, otherwise most of Arrow 410 doesn't happen, there's no one to run against Oliver for mayor, etc. I really hope they thought everything through about Darhk and the timeline and Arrow when they planned this storyline for LoT.

There are parts of The 100 that I like, but I sometimes feel like it would be a better show to binge watch? I think it's because that's how I first started watching it - checked out the first 6 or so episodes one weekend. It's not something I'd ever make a priority to watch live, but it can be entertaining at times.

Very true. But I think that has more to do with the fact that they wanted to resolve any Smoak family issues in that episode - and that they haven't brought either of Felicity's parents back and don't seem to have any plans to - than any consideration about what it did to Felicity's character. The best thing they could do is bring it up during a conversation Oliver and Felicity have about their relationship, but outside of that happening (and I think there's a very slim chance it will), I just don't think it will be explored - and that affects how Felicity's character is seen.

Heartaches, Bromances, True Love and Team Arrow: the Relationships Thread

True. He could have easily been like, "Oops, didn't get the chance" or "I gave it to them, but I guess it didn't work." -
They can just use Wite-Out or a black sharpie. (Totally kidding.) They'll probably make it something like, "honoring her legacy by having someone continue on in her name" or whatever for the public. But remember, Star City residents aren't that smart.

Thinking about it, the only way I'll be anywhere near okay with the "when she's ready I was considering Black Canary" line is if the rest of it is, "if that's okay with you," with Oliver speaking to Lance. I still can't believe that it sounds like Tinah's going to have no choice about taking on the codename of a woman who died last year that she didn't even know, but that's the show.

And instead she apparently packed up his stuff for him since that scene was so confusing and no one thought Felicity was the one staying in the loft even though that ended up being the case. -
Yeah, everything Laurel said on her "deathbed that wasn't a deathbed" was just weird. I almost wish BS had shown up after they recruited Tinah. Could you imagine her pretending to be Laurel? "Oh, you already got a new BC? That was fast?" "Don't you remember? It was your dying wish ... when you didn't know you were dying." "Uh, right. I mean, what? Who says that?" And then BS revealed who she was because she couldn't believe what she was hearing about the person she was supposed to be pretending to be. I think I would've liked seeing that.
-
Considering no one thought to tell Lance, the guy who just got out of rehab, that they recruited someone with the same name as his daughter before he met her? I doubt they even thought to tell him they were looking for a new BC.
-
The only problem is no sane person in Star City would want to be mayor. But yeah, Oliver Queen as mayor has not been impressive thus far. And why not let her choose her own codename when she's ready? Or maybe at least let her have some input?
-
True. It might also depend on what they find out about Susan if it's about her. They might not think they have enough to tell Oliver just yet/get him to listen to logic, but then he finds out another way that they're looking into her, leading to a discussion about Pandora (maybe Felicity finds something on her using it?), etc.

The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
insomniadreams88 replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
Yep. Especially since she had NO ONE on her side during it and never even got an apology. And then everyone else just left at the end of S4 and she could have easily done the same but didn't. -
Question: the board that Prometheus had the team's photos on in 509 - was it one of those you could flip over? I don't remember. But maybe if it is, Prometheus flips it over and we see his plan? Maybe he's talking to someone else and that's how we find out who he is? Could be the end of 514?
-
Oh I agree. Best case scenario might be to hope WH isn't leaving after this season and is still going to be a regular in S6 and if we can't get rid of a BC for good, JH just stays in a recurring role. Unfortunately? I'm feeling pessimistic about S6 regulars. And if Curtis is staying, I hope we get more of the Curtis from S4 and not what we've seen this season.
-
I feel like WD as a regular in S6 has been inevitable since the moment we had WM (right?) answer a Q about Diggle by talking about WD. If we get the WD we saw in 510, even 511, I wouldn't hate it. But I'd still rather they ship off the newbies to protect other cities at the end of the season.

Target Practice: Poisoned Arrow (The Bitterness Thread)
insomniadreams88 replied to slayer2's topic in Arrow
My main problem with Felicity's paralysis storyline is it was never really about her - and I think they made that very obvious when we didn't even see her reaction to finding out she'd never walk again. Instead, it became about Oliver hitting the streets, Felicity talking to him about that when he (finally) visited her in the hospital, Curtis first being called "terrific" and finally her getting up and walking out during the breakup scene. It all seems to be part of this whole "Felicity doesn't like to talk about things" they seem to have written into the show so that they can use it as an excuse to not write her POV. We see it over and over again - her paralysis, the breakup, her father, 509, etc. But the thing is, most of the time, we as an audience have to assume this while onscreen we just don't see it and then get odd behavior like we saw in 508.- 5.6k replies

That's the big question, isn't it? It made absolutely no sense and made no sense for Oliver to just date the first woman who crossed his path because HT told him to. The entire thing is a mess. It's why I would like there to be more to HT and the Susan mess but I don't expect there to be. They wanted Oliver to date this reporter so they made it happen. Still, Oliver is acting like there is absolutely nothing wrong with dating a reporter and just gets defensive every time Thea brings up what a horrible person she is, making me think that they're writing it like Thea is supposed to be saying things off-screen too. Susan did mention she glares at her - but when? Wasn't Thea supposed to be away for most of the time of 510-512? That whole welcome back/shouldn't have left scene in 513? However this ends, I really don't want it to be with Thea wrong and Susan right in any way. I think so? Now he's free to bond with Tinah.
-
Maybe Prometheus will go after Susan - not because she's dating Oliver, but because she negatively affects his life. Maybe she does drive a wedge between Oliver and Thea beyond just Thea expressing her disgust for Susan. Maybe Susan threatens to expose someone close to Oliver. Maybe Prometheus goes after her for the same reason he went after Church: Oliver's life is his to ruin.

Target Practice: Poisoned Arrow (The Bitterness Thread)
insomniadreams88 replied to slayer2's topic in Arrow
The William storyline was a complete mess because they basically figured, "kid kidnapped. You will care because it's a kid." But we didn't see anything that would make us care about William. The kid was stupid. (Guess it fits with Oliver his father.) His mom was stupid and instead of telling him, "don't play with/go off with strangers," she thought pretending Oliver was some random man coming over to spend time with him (apparently multiple times with that going to CC line) was a good idea. If they hadn't been so insistent on breaking up O/F, we could have had Oliver tell Felicity about him and then maybe at least gotten a conversation or two of Oliver telling Felicity about spending time with his son/worrying about the wrong person (Malcolm, Darhk) finding out before 415. Then maybe I would've cared about the kid. Or at least the kid as related to Oliver. There have been episodes of Criminal Minds involving kids where I've cared about what happened to them more than I did William. And they made this kid the main character's son versus a one-off character on a procedural drama. There really is no defending that storyline and I can't stand that anyone thinks it was good.- 5.6k replies

Maybe the theories are wrong because she does end up going after someone other than Oliver - after he breaks up with her. Say they are repeating Ray and have Oliver and Felicity get back together the same episode Oliver and Susan end their whatever (and since this is this season, the reunion would happen completely ignoring all the problems from the past because they don't want to have drama). And say Susan does stick around. I can't see her being a good person about that like Ray was about Oliver/Felicity. Considering how Susan was at the holiday party? I could see her go after Felicity if, say, she gets tipped off (maybe by Prometheus?). And then Thea can point out to Oliver, "see, dragon lady is not a good person." (Let me add, I don't want this to happen. But then again, there's a lot from this season I didn't want to happen/didn't think would happen.)
