Wait, isn't Doris in 515? Maybe Chase and Doris are in the limo for some reason? Doris gets killed. Chase-as-Vigilante goes after Oliver. (Maybe it was even supposed to be Oliver in the limo, but he gave it to Chase to use for the night?) That might be the entire point of us (and Oliver) meeting Doris in 513 - for them to kill her a couple episodes later.

Here's the thing: If Susan gets this exclusive, how's that going to start? "I'm sitting down with Oliver Queen, my boyfriend (maybe ex by that point), I mean, the mayor, who is also the Green Arrow, which I found out about when I started looking into his past while sleeping with him..." Please let all the reporters who were actually there for the press conference in 5x13 during the biggest story in Star City tear her apart.

Ugh, no. I don't want Susan rewarded in any way for her shadiness/digging into Oliver/paying off PIs to get information for her. Which makes me wonder - how much money do we think Susan's spending to get all this information on Oliver's past? Also, does anyone think anyone bothered to tell Felicity that Susan's doing a story on her BF's death? Both Oliver and Diggle know because they were then when she mentioned it to Chase, right? Then again, they probably forgot she was dating him since the show did the moment he was killed/once Oliver got together with Susan.

I'm pretty sure the only requirement to be an SCPD officer is you have to be willing to live in Star City.

Target Practice: Poisoned Arrow (The Bitterness Thread)
insomniadreams88 replied to slayer2's topic in Arrow
You know what's really bothering me right now? Tinah has been in Star City all of what, a couple of weeks? - including a trip to Russia - and got a job. Rene now has a job. Oliver, who's so, so stupid this season, is mayor (and not a good one). And Felicity and Curtis, the smartest characters on the show, are ... unemployed? And the show has only addressed that maybe twice this season? When Curtis said he quit after Felicity was fired and that awful cover story for Paul.- 5.6k replies

So, since no one bothered to remember Felicity was shot and paralyzed this week, do you think they'll remember Billy was Felicity's BF next week or will it be all about the cop Oliver was tricked into killing?
-
Maybe the big surprise is going to be that Susan doesn't expose Oliver ... but does expose someone else because of her research into him? And Oliver tries to intervene as mayor (because they love Oliver as mayor right now even though he's doing an awful job), but can't? I don't know. I have no idea where this storyline is going and I just want it over.
-
But ... that's not a theory. That's what the show is telling us is a fact? Showing us that she's digging into Oliver even after sleeping with him. Wow, this is going to be even more awful than I thought, isn't it? The more I hear about Susan, the more I want Thea to completely take her down in such a way that would make Moira Queen proud and a bit scared herself.
-
Now that I've read the TVGuide interview... Are "the general prevailing theories" that she's not going to betray him? What does it say that this is a very valid question? (Nothing good.) First of all, why is this Q so far down in this interview? It shouldn't have taken that long to ask about Felicity. They asked about Evelyn before Felicity. Evelyn. I feel like Felicity's going to have to something else than what we've seen so far to warrant any "very strong opinions" about what she's doing. And I really hope that this whole "understand Oliver in a more profound way" does not lead to her apologizing to him when he still owes her an apology from last year. (I'm not going to forget about that, show. So maybe you should do something about that.)

Didn't like the episode. Will probably never rewatch it. I did love Thea. Keep hating on Susan. Maybe it will eventually get through to Oliver since apparently all she and Lance had to do was tell Oliver he had to deal with this as the mayor and not GA and he agreed. But seriously, Oliver? Your sister is very firm in not liking your choice of girlfriend and your response is to say you're getting serious with her? Really? And Susan is not good at her job or a good person, and guess what, everything about her proves that. Everything. Including this episode. Guess what, Oliver? I bet if you went to one of the competent reporters in that room for that conference and tried dating her, she'd turn you down because that's how a reporter should respond to someone they're covering. I guess getting another photo of Oliver in Russia was more important than covering the biggest story in Star City? Maybe? I don't even care where she was, just that she exists and the show keeps talking about her. She's not even in the episode and we had to hear about her. If they thought I'd like Rene after his flashbacks ... I don't. I did like that Tinah raised the problem of her not really having anything to say about her past 3 years because I just expected Arrow to already have her set up in a nice apartment (maybe the Diggles' apartment slightly made over?) before I saw the photos of her at HIVE. So annoyed that they seemed to have forgotten Felicity was shot and paralyzed last year. I even half-expected Curtis to bring it up as reminder of the tech he invented, but ... nothing. Oh, and Oliver and Diggle didn't notice the flash drive just sitting right there? Maybe they needed a camera to zoom in for them. I guess they were more focused on, "Yay, Felicity got something. Let's ignore how obvious she's being about being vague as to how." And finally, Oliver is a horrible mayor. Why is Oliver so stupid in every aspect of his life right now?

That was not an episode I'll be rewatching.
-
"Living is the whole point." Was that really a sentence that just came out of his mouth?
-
I think this entire episode was written around a couple of speeches/conversations MG really wanted to have. And after he had those, he went, "hmm, what should the actual plot be?"

"Assemble the team," he says not very quietly. Maybe Oliver wants everyone to find out his identity considering he was saying he's GA in a BBB in Hub City and walking around without his mask and hood in the parking garage in 511.
-
They're really not going to bring up the fact that Felicity was shot and paralyzed last year, are they? And that conversation.... really?
-
None of these people have had normal in a very long time.
-
Tommy mention!
-
I will say that it looked like that room was full of reporters who at least sound like they know how to do their jobs ... unlike Susan, who's not there for the biggest press conference in the city right now?
-
So Oliver doesn't decide to handle this as mayor but Thea and Lance tell him to? Why can't he listen to them about Susan too?
-
I'm not impressed by Oliver as mayor at all right now.
-
So far, this just doesn't feel like an episode that Arrow should have done.
-
Oliver has a pretty full team right now ... and took no one with him?
-
They were really obvious showing that Felicity's using Pandora. I'm pretty sure they didn't need to zoom in on the flash drive as long as they did. Or probably at all.
-
Susan is not a good person. And please, getting serious with her? Really, Oliver? Can the show please stop trying to make Susan a good person and this "relationship" more than it is?
-
Imagine if he decides to announce to Star City he's the GA, and then the team is all, "Well, this is awkward, but we're actually good without you..."
