  1. Trying not to get my hopes up. Trying not to get my hopes up.
  2. It all boils down to they need Oliver to keep being mayor for plot. Even though it seems that the best thing he's done as mayor is stay alive.
  3. I think you could argue that a lot of the problems with the relationships this season come from them downplaying any pre-S5 relationships in order to build up the new relationships with the new characters.
  4. Yes! At the very least, give me an entire episode just about Felicity and Helix.
  5. Maybe. Especially since it's not like I want to go back and rewatch this season to rewatch Chase's scenes to see them in a new light.
  6. Don't mention "love" in relation to that relationship. Just don't. It's one of my worst fears about this season. Maybe we'll get someone pointing out Oliver can't go out as GA since his big press conference and he'll go, "it's Susan!" like he'd say "it's Felicity!" I wouldn't put anything past the writers this season.
  7. Honestly part of me wonders if they thought that having Oliver go to Felicity for help with Susan would be fine because they could say, "see, Felicity was jealous, and it's part of the rebuilding," not thinking beyond that or how horrible Oliver looked. They even chose it as a dialogue tease. It's horrible writing. It's not thinking on the writers' parts. It could be as simple as that. (And yes, that's awful.)
  8. All I know is that with the amount of time spent on Susan's job she should have been fired from anyway, I want to see an entire episode dedicated to Felicity and everything she's been/going through.
  9. Before the torture moment, Rory told Oliver Felicity crossed a line. Oliver asked "what?" Then they were interrupted. They never returned to that conversation.
  10. Maybe it's because we get so few Felicity/Diggle scenes, but I also feel like a problem with their conversation is that it was kind of short? It felt like the show spent more time having Diggle talk to Tinah about her apartment/job searches.
  11. I'm expecting a "you should have told me from the beginning." "When? When you were busy with mayor stuff, asking me to fix your relationship, etc.? You haven't been around." "You still should have told me. That's on you."
  12. Sadly yes. And the thing is, the way they're writing Felicity and how the others are treating her this year, I don't even care if Helix is evil because they might at least appreciate her. She's happy in the photos and I don't think we've seen her that happy in too long. She deserves that. At least Rory cared about her. The others seem to see her as tech support and nothing else and someone they tell she has to be good because that's what they need from her. It really seems to be about what others need from her and that's it. Never mind what she needs.
  13. I almost wish Susan has been recording all their conversations and the team got their hands on those recordings and just put on repeat her saying she was going to use the information she uncovered since Oliver just ignored it. Sit him down and play it over the intercom in the lair until it gets through to him.
  14. When Oliver has been stupid in the past, at least I could see that he still cared about the others. But now, it seems like once he started "caring" about Susan, he stopped caring about the others. Are we to believe he's going to go as crazy as he did last year when Darhk actually took people he cared about now that this reporter has been kidnapped? Who knows how it'll be played out on-screen. Oliver needs a wake-up call. Maybe it'll come if Susan betrays him, and he rescues her only to find out she was a distraction and Chase has done something else/gone after someone else.
  15. Yeah, same here, mainly because I hate his security detail that tells reporters where he is and ... that's pretty much it? We haven't seen them do anything else, so I'm very okay with Tinah being part of it.
  16. I really wish everyone involved with the show would read the list of unethical things this "good reporter" has done I know is floating around online. If only they had and Thea had gotten her fired for one of those things ... Then there would have been no way Oliver could have defended her. What would he have said, "how dare you get her fired for something she did she should have been fired for anyway?"? I don't get why she has to be this "good person" at the expense of the characters/relationships that have been around since S1.
  17. It really seems to come down to Oliver not thinking how his relationship with Susan affects others and his relationships with them. It also seems like this relationship has made him forget that he even has/had these other relationships. Instead of seeing his ex-fiancée, he's looking at Felicity like she's someone who can do what he needs done because he thinks she should help him. She even pointed out he shouldn't be going to her for this and it didn't even register with him. Then you could even look at it in terms of trust - which was an issue for O/F last year, as SA has pointed out. Everyone is telling Oliver not to trust Susan (even Susan herself since she told him she wanted to use what she found but couldn't) but he still is. Also, I miss S3 Oliver who knew 2 things.
  18. All I know is that if Felicity ever ends up in prison, I expect them to allow her computer access like they did Brie Larvan last year.
  19. So, Oliver's leaving Star City again? Is it just me, or has he left the city - which is supposed to be his great love this year - more times this season when he's mayor than any other season? Kinda love that we have more photos of Felicity than Oliver for 516.
  20. I've already kind of stopped caring about Vigilante, but they're going to expect me to care until season 6 to find out who's under the mask?
  21. The problem with Susan is that no one from the show is addressing the fact that she said she was going to do a story on Oliver to Oliver. I wonder why they even bothered to put those lines in there - unless it does come into play in an upcoming episode? - if they were just going to ignore them. Was it really just to have her go to him and basically change her tune after she found out he killed his ex-fiancee's BF? Really? And this is a character and a relationship I'm supposed to root for?
  22. The thing is, even if they bring back Donna, I could see it mostly being about Lance. "Look, he stopped drinking! He's getting his life back on track: a job, his girlfriend, etc." They could have used Donna last year to give us some of Felicity's POV about the breakup, and instead we got the "pistachio" line. The only time Donna has been mentioned this season is connected to Lance in that stupid line I still can't believe they wrote about her being in "Heaven," meaning a casino because people apparently talk like that?
  23. I wonder if the whole point of this "relationship" is that Chase can manipulate Susan, but he wouldn't have been able to manipulate Felicity. So if the point of this is to have Prometheus manipulate Oliver's significant other, he wouldn't have gotten anywhere with Felicity, therefore they couldn't have Oliver and Felicity together for that simple reason. Enter Susan.
  24. Maybe he hired his security detail. And kept changing the wifi password. And switched out his pens with a bunch that were almost out of ink so he kept having to reach for a new one. That would be so annoying.
