It should be Felicity's story after everything she's been through. How she hasn't had a breakdown yet is a miracle. But then they'd have to remember everything she's been through.
-
I guess he can't prove Chase is Prometheus? Although I'd love to see him try to tell Star City. "Uh, so I decided to go out as mayor, yes as mayor, and find out who Prometheus is. No, the Green Arrow did not tell me because remember, last week, I told you all that he's a horrible, horrible person. But Prometheus is Adrian Chase. And I found that out from someone I met while I was in Russ - on the deserted island for five years."
-
Yeah, I think they oversold Felicity's arc, and until I see otherwise, I feel like it's going to be as disappointing as the rest of her half-explored, deserved-better storylines.
-
Yeah, I'm at the point where I don't even know if this Oliver would choose to save Felicity over Susan or would send the others to Felicity while he goes to Susan. That is what Arrow has done to me after that nonsense of Oliver asking Felicity for help with his relationship. Maybe Oliver gets hurt - hence the FB 517 episode - and Chase uses the time he's out of commission healing to make Susan think he's not coming for her?
-
I do have to wonder what it'll take for Oliver to see she's not this "good person" he keeps insisting she is. I guess siding with Prometheus would do the trick? Because if he dares to try to defend her after that, saying, "well, it's not her fault, she was driven to this," I don't think there would be any coming back for him. Unless that's what leads to the team disbanding in 518? (I'm so sorry for even putting that possibility out there.)
-
That's what they should have been focusing on this season, not adding masks to the team.
-
You know what also bugs me about Oliver this season? His actions and his attitude towards those who have stood by him for years should have long-last consequences. That should affect those relationships well into next season. But instead, we probably won't see any effects whatsoever next year and even if there is any tension at season's end, they'll say that was taken care of over the summer or they'll address it within the first few episodes, like they did with Diggle in S4, depending on where everyone is at the end of the finale. And this is true even if this is going to end up being some big plan that they "explain" to us in the final episodes of the season, if Oliver's been acting this way because of some big twist coming up.
-
Yeah, I got nothing. At this point, I want everyone to leave Oliver - not the team, but Oliver - and for him to be all alone at the end of the season. Maybe they should wrap up the big May battle in the penultimate episode and have the season finale be Oliver trying to make up for his stupidity all season to everyone, only for him to be left alone in the lair or the mayor's office or whatever in the final scene. ETA: Actually, since I bet a lot of Felicity's money went into paying for the lair, I'd rather see him try to access it, only to be shut out. It'll be the time when the security on that place finally works.

Target Practice: Poisoned Arrow (The Bitterness Thread)
insomniadreams88 replied to slayer2's topic in Arrow
I'm starting to feel like I maybe should have appreciated Billy just a bit - or at least not called him Mayo. The character and Tyler Ritter deserved better. That is what the show has done to me. (I'm not saying I want him back or with Felicity. I still maintain that they could have just kept Felicity and Billy as friends and not much would have had to be different.) -
I just don't get why they have to ruin Oliver's other relationships and Oliver himself for this reporter. If she does end up siding with Chase, I'm just going to feel bad for Chase because he's going to have to deal with her. If she doesn't, how long do they plan on having her stick around? Are they going to kill her off by season's end and then, with our luck, they'll pick back up after the summer and have Oliver still mourning her since apparently this relationship is super important now?
-
That's probably going to be the episode. And we'll still have to hear how the reporter is such a "good person" and "good at her job," etc. We need Malcolm to pop up and remind Oliver, "You're very handsome, not especially bright." Maybe the Legion of Doom can join Chase in sitting back and watching Oliver ruin his own life with some popcorn. I'm understanding why Oliver was all alone in that future the Legends traveled to last season. I'm really glad Thea got out when she did now. I'm assuming she left town the moment she left City Hall, just like she went to that conference the moment she stopped hugging Felicity in 509.
-
If I have to watch Oliver all worried about that "reporter" for multiple episodes ... nope. Then I better get multiple episodes dedicated to the entire team making it up to Felicity for not being there for her, Oliver making it up to Thea for the entire season, etc.
-
I feel like Arrow spent more time on Susan's job than it did on Felicity's job, Havenrock and Helix (so far) combined this season.

Still rage-y over Oliver going to Felicity for help with Susan. I liked seeing Diggle and Felicity talk, but I can't help but feel like everyone's holding Felicity to a higher standard and that's really just not fair. I'm at the point where I don't care if Helix is the evilest to ever evil, if they appreciate Felicity, I'm all for her joining up with them. I'm going to miss Thea, but I'm actually kind of okay that she left so she doesn't have to continue to see her brother's stupidity. I do wish we could see what she's up to next, much like I would have liked to see how she got from where she was in 423 to where she was in 501. I really want to know how Susan's blog got her access to an impeachment hearing. Aren't they supposed to vet the "reporters" at those things? Someone who was fired for plagiarism shouldn't make the cut. Also, I know I'm probably supposed to be worried now whenever Chase is in a scene with anyone, but I'm just not. It's more like, "meh, okay? You go Chase!" It's not like S2 with Slade where I was worried when he showed up at the mansion. I can't believe anyone thought Chase kidnapping Susan was a good cliffhanger. And Oliver painting GA as the bad guy just makes zero sense and I really just don't care.
-
I'm rooting for Prometheus. I've liked Chase, so it's not hard. Even though it looks like the real Oliver isn't locked up somewhere and this is HTOliver, can the real Oliver be locked up somewhere until he realizes what he's done? I don't get how this is Prometheus' plan working because I feel like 90% of Oliver's stupidity would have still occurred without Prometheus' existence. Oliver is actually doing Prometheus' job for him. Maybe Oliver needs to go spend another five years "on an island." Right now, I think I'd rather have Russia FBs Oliver than present-day Oliver. So do we think that 515's Felicity/Diggle conversation is the last time they'll talk this season? Considering the past few seasons, I think probably. The only way I'll accept that I have to sit through the entire season for it to make sense is if Felicity burns it all down in the finale. Then I'll understand that I was supposed to hate everything so that seeing that makes sense storyline-wise.
-
Yeah, I honestly have no idea what the plan is there. Maybe Oliver figures that in the annual big May battle, he'll stand on a car as GA, make some big speech and win over everyone?
-
All I know is I'm more interested in seeing what happens with Helix in 516 and beyond than anything to do with Oliver after that promo. Like I said in the Live thread, maybe Helix will appreciate Felicity.
-
Didn't Chase say something about Oliver stealing his GF earlier this season? (Has anyone transcribed that conversation?) Maybe he lures Susan away from Oliver to his side, and she's going to be in the rest of the episodes as Chase's GF.
-
Just rewatched the 516 promo. Looks like there's a scene of Chase and Oliver in a hospital room. Probably Susan's. We'll probably see Oliver visiting Susan in the hospital.
-
Maybe Oliver asks Felicity to use Pandora to somehow find Susan. In order to do that, Felicity's going to have to do that favor for Helix as teased in the 516 synopsis. Why am I supposed to care about Susan being kidnapped? Why was that the cliffhanger? Why was that the promo?
-
Am I supposed to care about Susan right now? I don't.
-
Maybe Helix will appreciate Felicity.

This isn't going to end well for Curtis, is it?
