  1. I think the main problem with Rauch is that she is talking to the audience instead of her costars. She has this weird thing where she talks while facing the audience which just takes me out. The actress who plays the ADA has done it too. The most natural Rauch has come across is in the scene in Abby’s office with Dan.
  2. Those are the Day in the Life episodes and they really were some of the best.
  3. Dan said in the first episode that they lost touch. It’s probably a case that once Dan left they didn’t keep in contact and we know in the original series that Dan left to follow Christine in the last episode which presumably is before Abby ever existed (looking forward to finding out how old Abby is supposed to be).
  4. Lost count of the number of times I watched those episodes. The best relationship in the original run was Harry and Dan. I think some of Melissa Rauch’s acting choices are not working for me but she was great in the scene with Dan.
  5. I’ll watch for the shoutouts to the original series. So far I’m not a fan of the actress playing the DA and the clerk is a very blah character. One of the best parts of the original series was the back and forth between Harry and Mac. The relationship between Abby and Dan is another reason to watch. I like the idea that Dan took the job to look out for Harry’s daughter.
  6. I prefer original Colleen. Mostly because she wasn’t a mini me version of Michaela. I feel that is what the show runners were trying to do with Jessica Bowman. Erika as Colleen felt like Colleen was her own character. Plus I prefer the chemistry she had with Chad Allen and Shawn Toovey. They had such great small interactions. I think about the Ingrid dies plot and just imagine how it would have been written with Flores in the role as Colleen.
  7. When it comes to Carter and Benton the highlight has to be All in the Family. Between Benton tearing through the ER, bursting in the trauma room yelling “is he conscious?” to Benton losing it in the OR and Anspaugh having to talk him down - just absolute gold. They were my favorite ship on the show.
  8. I enjoyed the new movie. It had me laughing and crying. It’s not a classic but it is an entertaining Christmas movie. It’s also a nice nod to Darrin McGavin.
  9. And yet in season 15 (after Abby left), when Carter was pretty much dying Morris told the resident from nephrology to turn her ass around and get the attending. Hmm.
  10. I watched a few s14 episodes on POP that I never saw before and I was struck with how unpleasant characters could be to each other. Like Abby talked to the others like she was just annoyed by them. Sam did the same thing. Characters have always been short with each other but the characters in season 14 just seem so unlikeable. The most likable was Morris of all people.
  11. Should have just ended it last year. It’s not even as close to funny as it used to be. Add on the Beverly show and real death of George Segal and now killing off the dad - it seems pretty damn depressing. It seems TPTB are determined to just limp on the finish line.
  12. An LG series would mean your lead would be a gay man who actually has gay sex and relationships? That’s a good a guess as any because any spinoff/prequel is going to be a risk.
  13. I think some were trying to make it relevant to gun violence (because of Columbine) (which is also why they foolishly had candles) but it was half assed. No one involved - organizers or attendants - gave a shit about that.
  14. A LJ series would give him more to go than make heart eyes at Jaime and everything must revolve around “the king of men.” I personally have zero interest in the love story of Jaime’s parents. I mean if you are going the prequel route (and completely unwritten one) how about exploring how the hell people time travel?
  15. Agree. What makes Woodstock Woodstock was the moment in time in happened in. That can’t be recreated. I also agree with the second comment. How many gang rapes happened there? And who the hell let’s their 14 year old go to a 3 day festival??
  16. I felt bad for Malucci and Chen but the way they acted afterwards was ridiculous. I mean they were responsible for killing a guy and you have Malucci banging someone in an ambulance (and then saying the most disgusting insult to Kerry) and you have Chen acting like the victim of evil Kerry. Yes Kerry was way wrong to try to CYA herself but she wasn’t wrong when she told them “you had the information, you didn’t bother to look at it.”
  17. Wouldn’t the bodies have to be in the UD to be used in a zombie army? Wasn’t Barb removed from there and given a burial? I know Bob didn’t die there.
  18. The Duffers said they were going to change the date of Will’s birthday because they completely forgot the date in season 4 but I don’t know if they were serious about that. I think changing things in previous seasons is silly and honestly who would have time for that?
  19. I can completely see Will being in love with the Mike of season 2. Just like I can see El being in love with the kid that treated her humanely for the first time in her life from season 1. But the Mike of seasons 3 and 4? Yeah I don’t see that. I also agree that it would have been nice to see Will and El with friends in California. If anything though you are not going to be able to convince me that these 2 quiet sweet kids wouldn’t have made at least one friend who basically decided they were going to adopt them. Shy kids can make friends too.
  20. Fully agree. This episode was tedious to get through. It did not need to be 2 1/2 hours. This season had some good scenes but overall I found a lot of the writing cringy. I also don’t understand that instead of supersizing the episodes they just didn’t have a 12 episode season. Seems like a pointless way to hype the show.
  21. I am so glad I checked out before season 14. That storyline would have made me pop a blood vessel.
  22. I would like to see her figure herself out. She started to seem like she was coming into her own when she became friends with Max but it seems like she regressed after she thought Hopper died and she lost her powers. El needs to know her worth outside of being a hero. I think if the show ends with Hopper/Joyce together and El winds up with 2 parents and 2 brothers who love her and a group of friends that love her no matter if she is a super hero or not - that would be a fantastic end for El.
  23. Yes. Are people supposed to be rooting for Mike and El? I’m not a teen so maybe I’m not supposed to see it but I don’t see it.
