  1. That was extremely bizarre.
  2. This Woman’s Work is a fantastic song. I never want to hear Running Up that Hill again.
  3. I would like to see Will central to the Hawkins plot. Not in a human alarm way like in S3 or the victim needing saving like S2 and S3 but in a way where El needs him to ultimately end Vecna and the UD. I would like it if Will’s “we’ll fix it together” that he said to El when the bully destroyed her project to be forshadowing.
  4. I agree that Max should have stayed dead. It would have sucked but the writers need to let these deaths start to stick. Hopper, now Max. Plus where did El get the ability to stop death? I mean where did that come from? She was clinically dead but El apparently bought her back?? I would give credit to the writers if Max would have been better off dying and El just f’d up playing god.
  5. My favorite scene was where the writers remembered that Will and Jonathan are brothers. Seriously Jonathan tearing up in the front seat while listening to Will pour his guts out to an unbelievably obtuse Mike - so good. Give me Byers brothers content. Also give me Will Byers content where he is not playing couples therapist to Mike. Seriously Noah Schnapp carried the plot of season 2 to be reduced to this?
  6. Same. It’s being beaten into the ground.
  7. Everything about the bullying was over the top bad. The writers wanted to show El isolated but gave zero thought to how Will (or even Mike) looked in the scene. They also want to show these kids in normal situations but the fact that these kids have faced literal monsters show that having these kids not be able to tell an asshole mean girl to F off since they have faced so much worse is kind of ridiculous.
  8. What bothered me about the Kem and Carter story is the fact that they lost the baby in season 10. We see them again 5 years later and Kem is just miserable (plus we had to watch Carter go through dialysis and a kidney transplant without her) so for 5 years Carter was basically in a dead end marriage banging his head against the wall. One of them should have called it by then.
  9. I think it’s a continuation of their last scene of S3. El asked him if he remembered saying it (in the cabin where he yelled “I love her and can’t lose her again”). He played it off and acted like he didn’t remember (you decide if he genuinely didn’t remember or if he’s BSing her). She then said she loved him too and kissed him. After she walked away he had had a confused look on his face. One would think if he heard what he wanted to hear he would at least have a small smile but it was just confusion.
  10. I don’t think Owens is really trying to help El. He’s trying to help her become a weapon again because without her powers they are screwed. I also don’t think he gave her much of a choice. He told her without her those is Hawkins have no chance. It’s either try to get your powers back or you’re sentencing your friends to death.
  11. Jonathan or Joyce are the only answers. They need to remember that this family actually exists and give them some scenes again. The writers are so about Steve being surrogate big brother that they forgot that Jonathan actually is a big brother. They forgot that Joyce went through hell to get Will back because Winona’s sole purpose is to be a prop in Hopper’s story apparently. If Will where to come out to anyone it should be to one of the people who have proven how much they love him.
  12. I agree with this. You really have to wonder if this is going to lead anywhere or if it’s a way to give Will (and Mike honestly since he is not allowed to be anything but El’s boyfriend) something to do without really giving them something to do because they really have no interest in these characters.
  13. Robin and Eddie cheerleading them bugged me. But I was also bothered by the over the top comments the nerdy kid who worked with Nancy made about her. I just hate that type of writing - too forced and feels like the writers are beating you over the head.
  14. Noah Schnapp has repeatedly asked the Duffers to change Will’s hair and they refuse. A part of me thinks they think it’s funny at this point. They probably get a kick from the response. Instead of the mushroom cap it’s beyond me why they they just didn’t part Will’s hair and feather the sides. That is a style boys his age would have had then - they did not have perpetual bowl cuts.
  15. It seems the writers have zero interest in Will. Hell in any of the Byers really.
  16. Any chance they could make Christine the mom? I recently watched the first episode with Christine and Harry said to her “our children would be blond.” It would be a cute call back. Thinking about it how is her name NOT Melanie?
  17. I always believed this show should have ended either when AE chose to leave or when NW left. I do think that Carter was never given a real chance to take the reigns from Mark. The show became all about Abby and even NW played second to her. Instead of Carter’s focus being on truly becoming the person who “set the tone” his main focus was on Abby. When that shitshow was mercifully put out of its misery NW was half out the door.
  18. If they were going for a resemblance to the actress who played Geneva they did a good job. Personally with the beating over the head you get of the resemblance between Jaime and William In the books I don’t mind that.
  19. They started filming a few weeks ago. I read that they expect filming to take a year.
  20. My favorite line was George saying to Georgie why they wanted to meet Mandy - “Because she’s having our grand baby you stupid son of a bitch!” It was all in the delivery.
  21. I can’t sit through this show anymore. With George Segal gone and having to write out Garlin they should call it a day. IMO the Beverly show is not at all entertaining or funny.
  22. Well the sun shines out of Jaime’s ass so the origin of that needs to be explored.
  23. Can’t help thinking Ian would have been an even more stand up guy if he didn’t screw Malva and THEN tell her he loved someone else. Pretty shitty thing to do.
  24. The most obvious that CB has shown was in last week’s episode in the scene in the inn while she was unpacking. You got a few glimpses of her belly before the camera changed the angle.
  25. I swore off a LJ spinoff but then David Berry answered “no comment” in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly about a spinoff and now I’m hopeful again. No comment in these cases usually means something is in the works. We’ll see.
