  1. It helps with looking perfect upon waking if time is taken to fix up a bit while getting mic'd up. I was wondering if they'd show the obligatory 'brushing teeth together' & they didn't disappoint. Pepper even took the time to explain how they'd have to make such decisions as 'do we brush our teeth at the same time, or not?' - yes, marriage is difficult, thanks for explaining such struggles, Pepper.
  2. Yeah I noticed that too & wondered for a moment, but they would've fuzzed it had it not been a tat. I've been watching too much of this stuff obviously. Of course the camera zoomed right in & they could've not aired that part - so who are the pervs? They always use the honeymoon to objectify the participants, especially the women.
  3. Ha! Yes, Jellybeans, I saw the hole too; wondered whether it was a stain or a hole at first. I was going to feel weird posting that I noticed THERE but hell his legs were spread so far apart, well, it just stood out to me LOL. I liked the way Nate handled his mom's meltdown, which (if not contrived), was ridiculous. He's living on his own, young but still a grown man with his 17yo brother living with him, so she should be used to letting go by now. I understand her issues with this stranger marriage, however, she never married his dad. Now maybe that was for good reason (from what I've seen of his behavior), but she should stop coming off as so holier than thou traditional here. At least the son actually got married; he's trying to build a family situation (hopefully). Nate fluctuates for me as sounding/acting together & mature (how he handled his mom), to being silly & self important (king/queen stuff), to being just immature (pawing his new stranger-wife). It's probably his age to some degree; he's still a man in his 20s. I LOVED the way he told his mom that his wife is the most important woman in his life now, but still loved & cared for her - he has to have those priorities straight & a lot of guys don't. Proof is in the pudding though. Danielle & Cody are awkward together & I don't feel she's that into him as of now, although I think she's at least trying & giving him a chance. Danielle's friend & Cody's brother - seriously?? Just no, don't, already. His brother is younger than him right? Why so damn desperate already? Ashley's sister & her over attachment to her sister are both just annoying. Maybe again it's contrived drama, but families can be a blessing or a curse (or both). The marriage has to come first & if I were Anthony at this point I'd feel like someone else was already in the mix. Ashley's sister doesn't seem married either, making her possibly overly needy (or jealous). I sense sisterly competition between them. Something Ashley said about her sister already having kids; it was like she just wanted them because her sister had them - her sister could be the same way regarding their marriage (if not married). It's an unhealthy dynamic. I too, want to know what the hell causes Sheila's incredible meltdown next week. I really hope it's not the brother living with them, as that would be a bit over the top. She was really upset, so unless he's like a polygamist & she's the starter wife, I can't imagine what the problem is so early on the game. All the men were after the sex right away, as is typical. I see them now realizing the women are taking this more seriously than jumping into that, so they are saying all the right things about going slow, blah blah - it wasn't their idea LOL. Honestly, I waver as to whether they should just get it over with or not, because usually that's when a real relationship will start or end, at least for the men. Some lose interest at that point while others are even more committed. Yeah, the women can do that too, but I see it more in men honestly.
  4. Yes & I noticed how much their son was interacting with the cat. I wondered what happened to it.
  5. They must've had trouble writing narratives for this show, since they both kept repeating themselves constantly. Much of the footage was dull. Sitting around, looking at phones, etc, while we're listening to the same comments in voice overs again & again. This show was not put together well. Maybe they didn't have much to work with on this one.
  6. It looked like the kids were enjoying the truck trip. I'm just hoping they actually got out here & there & not just at rest stops, & weren't 'seeing' several states from only inside the cab. I think Chad's wife is tired. I know what it's like to be an autism parent & parent an 'adult'. Not in the least fun & very draining. My hat's off to her & I hope she gets to take care of herself too. Teretha was annoying with the amount of complaining most of the episode. It seemed like she needed her family support to move forward at all. I was glad to see her standing & walking at the end & hope that momentum continues for her. And I hope her husband gets a break & has good care too. I'm also looking forward to Nikki's story & hope things are going well for her.
  7. Going for sex right away would probably work for couples in *for real* arranged marriages. That works because they are truly committed to their marriages as forever. I don't believe these couples are thinking like that (exception might be Sheila). Even the ones who have worked out (so far) approached with a 'we'll see' attitude, & for good reason. It's a TV arrangement; that in itself radically reduces it's chance of success. It would also probably help if the 'experts' would stop referring to it as an 'experiment', then only to say 'it's a real marriage'. Real marriages are NOT experiments. People don't commit to an experiment. ...and I think a lot of the men in particular are in it for some sex & TV exposure - win win for them - but that's my cynical opinion.
  8. I thought I read somewhere around here that she was a theater major? At her size, especially, that has to be a difficult one to work with to make a living. If that's the case, then I can understand why this TLC gig looks like a good deal to her (& the people who know her). But personally I don't feel it's worth it & she should've focused on her health & a steady, less 'dynamic', career/job. She'll probably have a lot of personal recovery to do once this train derails.
  9. I agree with you, however, when someone appears on a reality TV show playing the villain it kind of becomes open season on them. Personally I could care less about Jiya's career aspirations or what degree(s) she's getting from what schools. It's her superior attitude I didn't like. I also think her 'dancing' (which is a loose term obviously) is just plain skanky.
  10. I think some skirts/dresses can make one look even bigger. That said, I'm relieved to see her presenting to a crowd in something other than skin tight leggings showing every roll, huge bum & tummy for display - somewhat of an improvement & a reprieve for the crowd. The top, well, at least it's not a sports bra.
  11. I was thinking more in the way of olders who have kids out of the house already, or at least college age. I think any younger & yeah that could be a disaster for the kids. But yes, maturity level is everything, & emotional maturity doesn't typically match up with chronological age.
  12. Yes & it's not like it's a first date, they just got married. That & probably too much personal baggage, possible kids etc. I would think the same for women who are a bit older as well. Everyone has been early 30's the most so far; anyone older would be bringing more 'past' with them. I wouldn't mind a specific MAFS like that, for older ones - I don't know if those folks would take a chance like this though.
  13. I realize that, but was just saying his opinion would be of the most interest. I don't expect to ever know exactly what is happening though.
  14. I would love to hear Dr. Paradise's take on what's going on between Sean & mom, & if he has a specific diagnosis for the mom. He would most likely be the qualified opinion on all of it.
  15. "Classy", "elegant", & even what is considered "conservative" is being radically redefined, in a terrible way.
  16. I'd be surprised if Cody is Mormon & agreed to do this without a specific faith in mind; that seems like it would be a conflict. Danielle doesn't seem faith oriented at all, so far. I also wondered about the pizza comment. My general practitioner doctor is also an RD & licensed nutritionist & I don't think pizza is in her vocabulary. She's very crunchy though. Cody & Danielle were talking about her friends - was he thinking a set up for his brother? He's not even out of the start gate with Danielle so that's a stretch to say the least. He should definitely leave his brother to his own love life - his is no where near figured out yet. I didn't mind Danielle's head piece but then I like a bit of a boho look, but it didn't seem placed properly or securely. It kept slipping, & seemed like she or someone kept fixing it & it messed her hair. I also hope Ashley isn't being driven by her intense feeling for kids & loud bio clock. Nice to see so many familiar screen names again here!
  17. Got through to the tail end of the weddings ... Nate doesn't seem to think God exists during bachelor parties. His mom feels he's not ready for commitment. He was saying something about he'll 'try' at the wedding, regarding the marriage. He was too intense during the wedding; he seems a bit immature to me at this point. I see some red flags with them, but agree that Sheila is all in & will probably stick it out. I hope he doesn't hurt her; she seems genuine. The fathers were ridiculous. I was considering it contrived drama, but I guess we'll see. Never an orgasm... what does she mean, specifically? Never with men or never at all? Not my biz but she brought it up on TV, so now I have to try to stop wondering. My guess is this is a 'will be continued'. Loved it when Cody mouthed "I love dogs" to Danielle during the ceremony when it was mentioned she loves her dogs. He must've watched last season & was reassuring her he won't need hypnosis. However, they seem awkward together so far, to me. I agree Anthony & Ashley seem promising. So, it's an interesting start to this season.
  18. I feel I had Sonia read correctly & she's showing it now. So she's insulting new cast members too? What ground does she feel she has for that, what with who she stuck with for almost a year & the way she's handling her own mistakes now, publicly? I felt strongly she should've 'done a Heather' & stayed away from Nick permanently after the not attracted shit he pulled. Not to drag it all up again but even if it was staged that made her look a fool. Now she's proving herself to be so. As a 'social worker' she needs to realize it's her own problems she has to deal with, & that using a public stage to do so is inappropriate. This can't possibly help her career wise either; in her line of work in particular she appears even more unprofessional.
  19. I only just finished the matchmaking special. From reading the comments I'm interested to see the weddings hopefully later. I'm already getting vibes on Nathan as well, like others have said, a Trey/Vanessa thing. The shoes in the trunk was not a joke Pepper - 'you're a guy' - oh crap already. Same old with the matchmaking, except they are really EMPHASIZING how careful they are being - sensitive to some past criticism perhaps? What I did like was when the applicants were making a strong preference for someone who looked like a celebrity the Pastor called them out on it - 'they've NEVER dated someone who looked like that before' - HA! I wonder if they talked to family members & saw pics of others in their pasts. Some of these people think they're the all that (ahem Nathan) & c'mon maybe the other person will be disappointed with how YOU look. geesh! Watching the 'experts' share drinks after their choices, I thought it was funny how Pepper is so much shorter than the other two she looks like their (much older) child. Shouldn't she be having apple juice? LOL
  20. I recall him disagreeing with the 'taste' of a bride who wanted to 'show it all off', & I was impressed, at the time. Now he's putting out worse crap than what she wanted to 'wear'. I can just imagine the first bride who tries on that blue monstrosity with boobs out all over the place & wears it at her wedding in front of all her family members & in-laws. Just a tad less lace & you've got those pasties I predicted in the episodes thread. I wonder if he or Pnina will 'create' the first wedding bikini - all white lace - $10,000.
  21. I haven't even known what to say regarding Sean & his mudder - weird dynamic there. I had wondered if he had special needs of some sort & that started the dysfunctional ball rolling. Dr. Now could've made his point with Sean's mom without the yelling & ego trip. He didn't even yell at Steven that way for abusing hospital staff. I get his annoyance but it really didn't help much except she stopped bothering him about Sean's 'care'. Hopefully Sean will take control of his own health. It was great to see Brittani doing so well & feeling so happy. I really thought that tummy they took off her was going to weigh more - that was a lot of flesh.
  22. Henchi has some serious resting bitch face. Can't blame him what with being molested consistently.
  23. I always have to DVR it too, & probably won't get to it until Sat sometime... but I'll be reading here to find out what's happening.
  24. Besides PCOS & drinking, smoking can also cause thinning hair. Have no idea if she still is but I had read she was a smoker.
