  1. Dr. Now to everyone he's seen - "...show me you can do dis."
  2. Dr. Now handing a paper to Nicole - "diiis is foods to awoid, diiiis is not your grocery list."
  3. Maybe off camera she added a bolero or wrap just for the ceremony. So far they haven't showed clips from one of the weddings in the UK version. I do prefer UK so far, just because it seems, so far, they're showing a bit more variety of dresses & less drama.
  4. Not sure if this was posted or not but when James said he needed something to eat in defense of Lisa bringing him food he wasn't supposed to have... Dr. Now "You don't need something to eat you have 800 pounds food in you"
  5. Never believed Nick should've even been on the show as he was not marriage material. That said I think Sonia elicits a lot of sympathy on SM & seems to enjoy it - possible victim mentality. Both of them tended to irk me, especially when listening to each one speak.
  6. I've wondered if Dr. Now is hunched from all those surgeries he does for so many hours at a time. That has to be hard on his back. Watching him remove her lymph on the one leg, he states how he can't miss even one of those hundreds of blood vessels, I believe. That surgery seems very detailed & he's got to still be very sharp to handle it. Also I suppose he doesn't suffer from cataracts... hopefully. I don't know that I've ever seen him smile as much as he did this episode.
  7. Readers can be had anywhere, but I can't possibly wear my readers to see & my eyes aren't even that bad yet for that; I've been near sighted since I was a kid though. I need my prescription glasses for distance. The readers skew everything for far. We have yearly eye doctor appointments for our family, given a few of us are near sighted, & have to update our glasses regularly. Tanisha wore her glasses all the time; James had them on & wasn't reading, so they seemed like regular glasses, not readers. Can one get glasses for seeing distance without a prescription? I mean, I wouldn't try it, but maybe people who just can't get out of the house find a way.
  8. I was curious about that & eye glasses - he wore glasses at one point & they didn't look old. Tanisha had glasses - two different styles. They obviously weren't readers because they wouldn't be wearing them unless reading, so, they were current pairs requiring a prescription, I'm assuming. How'd they fit in the eye doctor exam chair?
  9. Dr. Now has such a nice smile. That's all.
  10. I've wondered if they had her do that as part of the show - cast her as the 'cute little old lady who randomly announces her birthday to strangers where her son works' role. I thought she seemed a tad uncomfortable with it herself. Everyone knew they had a camera on them while she did it so they got a quick cameo on the show & couldn't have been too surprised or annoyed by her.
  11. His over acting & dramatics are incredibly annoying. You know I missed the intro on the grandma & assumed she was Barbie Mom's partner. They were sitting next to each other in the TH's & she didn't contribute much. Only the very young, the very old, & people on reality TV shows can get away with that.
  12. Well Barbie Mom's daughter remembered a close relationship when she was a little girl, but said the competitive jealousy started when she began developing, which could've been around that age. Sad because that's when a daughter is going to need her mom even more. The other mom could've made her daughter a junior bridesmaid. It could've been a special memory. I can't imagine any good long term feelings coming from her decision to exclude her children - & I forgot she was preggers -that toast of his really just adds insult to injury. How sad.
  13. ITA. I actually felt very bad for her kids, especially the 12 year old girl. I was confused when she said 'elope', & then they showed the venue, & spoke of people being there. Her daughter will figure out the difference eventually. It would be one thing if it were a true elopement, with no one there, but I can't even imagine having an actual wedding & leaving out your kids. And she acted like it was so important to not choose the dress unless her 12year old approved - via FaceTime! She was excluded from everything. Unless they have a bad relationship, that is setting the tone for one with her & her new husband. Barbie mom was disgusting. She needs to grow up & embrace her own age & stage in life, so she can share in her daughter's life & milestones without destroying whatever might be left of the relationship. I've heard of this phenomenon; it's like some women want a daughter as her dress up doll 'mini me' but when she starts to actually grow up the mom feels her age & becomes resentful. My heart ached for the daughter when she said it was all about her & her mom until she started becoming a woman. It's like she lost her mom at that point & gained a catty mean girl frenemy. If she's not going to change it would be better for her daughter to move away & move on, so she's not a toxic influence on her or any kids she may have.
  14. Scroll down for the updates; pretty amazing transformations... then there's Penny. http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/my-600-lb-life-james-k-before-and-after-127951/photos/christina-phillips-600-lb-life-238610
  15. A nutritionist couldn't do anything for him because he just doesn't get it. That's like putting a band aid on a gaping cannonball wound. I would think the first stop would be hospital stay controlled diet with psych appointments.
  16. I haven't been able to watch this yet, but just reading the posts I'm blown away already. My question is did Dr. Now ever send a therapist to J's house? He's done that before. Not sure if it would've helped at all but they ALL need therapy & he's in such bad shape in every way.
  17. Hopefully her marriage is good! It would be awful for her to have more heartbreak.
  18. I hope she continues therapy. Eating disorders don't just go away when weight is lost. As seen they can just change shape, so I hope she's okay. Maybe goal weights depend on their height as well.
  19. Didn't Christina become anorexic? I think that's a risk for some of them. She didn't really seem happy to me; she may be pushing herself too much.
  20. She needs something deeper than a dress to make her happy - all this will hit the fan when it's over. That's too big of a loss to fill up with a pricey, tacky gown. I really do hope she finds some true healing & peace.
  21. She probably could've fed her whole country on what she spent on her wedding.
  22. I don't know why but I expected more of this one - more of the dance competition I guess. It was clips of each side instead. I could've done without the glaring & crazy eyes on both sides, & the badly acted out 'worry' or watchfulness over the other team's performances. It was lame all around. That said I do agree with those who have said Whit's side did a better job. I felt Jenzi was accurate in saying BGDC had more variety in movements (as much as they could do together) & that Jiya's class is mostly twerking & how many ways are there to twerk; it got old fast... it takes no real skill, is nasty looking, & had no place in a performance including kids. And I thought the kids should not have been included in the TW performance at all. She needed kids to win? Maybe because they couldn't do anything besides be obscene. Todd's 'injury' was unnecessary fake drama.
  23. I totally agree with not enabling & it probably would motivate some to get up at least, but it's tougher for the kids. They really have it bad as they feel they have to keep mom/dad happy, & even if they don't want to give their parent crappy food they have to put up with verbal (& possibly emotional) abuse if they don't. They don't realize they are 'enabling' & depending on the age it's not up to them to 'play adult' & defy the parent's wishes. Then, as the parent gets worse & possibly even dies from their addiction the kid(s) could end up living with guilt from 'helping' them. It's horrible for any kiddo living with addicted parents, but this seems even worse since they really are pushed into helping, quite literally, feed the addict/parent - what a recipe for disaster for them.
  24. Thanks ! I hope the Brit ones shows again; I really want to see the difference.
