There’s been more evidence released regarding Colleen. She has been friendly with Trisha Paytas and they recently started a podcast together that abruptly stopped posting when the current controversy started. Trisha is a very controversial online personality. She has said and done some incredibly offensive things. So the concern when they started working together was that Trishas would damage Colleen’s reputation and it was kinda implied that Trisha should be grateful that Colleen was willing to be friends and work with her. In addition to her Youtube channel, Trisha is also a sex worker on OnlyFans. Evidence has come out that Colleen was sharing Trisha’s pornographic videos and pictures with her fans so they could make fun of Trisha’s looks. The one who posted the evidence was around 20 years old when he received the pictures and messages and attended watch parties Colleen would have to make fun of Trisha. One of her fans who was 14 at the time says he was also sent the pornographic material which takes things to a criminal area. An adult can’t show pornography to a minor. I wanted to ask if anyone was knowledgeable about the legal issues. The 14 year old is 20 now and so is there a statute of limitation on this which would mean Colleen can’t be prosecuted? Also she’s in the US and he’s in Ireland. Which country has jurisdiction? Trisha has now responded to the situation and the man who was 14 at the time of these events has responded.

Colleen/Miranda Sings had a Netflix show, a bestselling children’s book, and multiple live shows. There’s been this perception that she’s a kid friendly performer which allowed her to get away with a lot of inappropriate behavior because people assumed she was safe. Parents do have to pay closer attention to the content their kids are watching. Her Netflix show was labeled pg but includes multiple examples of sexual innuendo. This is a review of her Netflix show that points out the examples of how the show was inappropriate for kids despite the pg rating. Hater’s back Off I don’t think she was trying to have sex with children. I think she got off on sneaking sexual content to children underneath their parents noses. For example she had a page in her book of a tutorial of how to draw a hot dog that a parent probably wouldn’t see a problem with but she tells her underage fans that it’s secretly supposed to be a vagina. I think she enjoyed being hero worshipped by these kids and having scandalous secrets with them. She also liked to tell them about people who wronged her which would lead these adults and kids in her special online chat to go on the war path towards those she considered enemies. She doesn’t have to directly bully anyone because her favored fans would do it for her giving her deniability. She tells herself it’s okay because she’s doesn’t have sex with them, but she’s still exposing kids to sexual content. I do think she’s deriving some sort of thrill from it. I don’t know if it’s sexual or some sort of power trip. I still don’t know what to make of the content of her live shows that was done blatantly in front of the audience. Why did the parents of the 9 year old asked get snacks by putting his hands in her pants allow this? Why didn’t any of the adults at the live show accept this?

How Colleen Ballinger (Miranda Sings) Destroyed Her Career She posted a response that people assumed would be an apology but instead was one of the most baffling tone deaf videos I have ever seen. Why is she singing about an accusation that she groomed minors?! Basically she claims it’s not true, then it is true but not a big deal (discussing in detail her sex life [what toys she uses, sex positions…etc}, asking them sexual questions, sending her bra and panties to a 13 year old, having an underage girl lie down on stage while she spread her legs in front of the crowd [which she minimizes by calling it just a fart joke], calling underage boys on to the stage and asking them to reach into her pants to get snacks she placed in front of her crotch, she claims her conversations were 5 years ago when she only stopped participating in the group chat with minors a couple of weeks ago, its the parents of the kids fault, it was just a mistake, and it’s not true once again. Anyway I am sharing the video through one of the kids impacted instead of directly through her youtube channel. He’s 20 now but was 13 years old when he and Colleen starting communicating and she was 30 years old. I think the craziest thing about it is there’s so much evidence of inappropriate behavior to the point that she was including it in her live act on stage. Why did parents and the general public see this and not get concerned? Why when accusations came out 3 years ago was the response to harass the boy who came forward rather than investigate her behavior? She’s making millions while he got death threats because her fans don’t want to hear that she did anything wrong.

Break down of some of John Wick 4 fight scenes I just love how these films handle action sequences.

TV and Movies are too Dark - Why is this Happening? Is the transition from film to digital to blame? Knives Out and Glass Onion are digital and are brightly lit and clear. Nope had night scenes that were beautifully shot.

How Hamiliton the Musical Rescued a Book Shop It’s lovely to see the young people who were positively impacted by the shop end up being the ones to save it after they’ve become a success. I have a lot of respect for Lin and Thomas.

The way it was shown makes it appear the decision to operate on Ellie to kill her for a potential cure was decided before she even showed up. They didn’t examine her, take samples, run tests, or do trials to try various strategies before setting on killing the only resource they have to find the cure. That’s ridiculous. It makes me question the skills and intelligence of the people working on the cure.

There are leaders who have the skills to win a war but are inadequate to lead in the aftermath. Kathleen needed to switch gears from vengeance to longterm survival but she didn’t have a clue on how to be a peacetime leader.

Jupe monetized his trauma instead of dealing with it. His skewed perspective that he had some sort of special connection with Gordy let him lie to himself about the risks with Jean Jacket. He wanted to believe he had some sort of control over the situation but he never did.

I finished reading Bonds of Brass by Emily Skrutskie. Ettian lost everything when his planet was taken over by the Umber Empire. As a child he lived on the street after losing his parents in the Umber take over until the Empire gave him the opportunity to go to school. Accepting that his planet is lost Ettian tries to move on and be the best at the Umber military academy until a shocking assassination attempt on his best friend Gal. This event leads Ettian to discover Gal is the heir to the empire that made him an orphan. Ettian is torn between his growing romantic feelings for his friend and his buried loyalty to his home planet. I really enjoyed this book. I thought Ettian’s struggle on whose side to be on made sense and the conflict of romance mixed with distrust was compelling. I’m on board with this trilogy and will be reading the next book. Now I’m reading The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling which is the sequel to The Ex Hex. It’s a romantic comedy enemy to lovers story. Gywn is annoyed when her cousin’s brother in law Wells opens a magic shop directly across the street from her own shop. The rivalry leads to romantic sparks. Gywn and Wells have to team up when a new coven comes to town and magic starts not working as it should. So far it’s a fun read like the first book.

How an incident at Hadestown connects to Patti Lupone’s tweet regarding her decision to give up her equity card. I feel a lot of sympathy to the hearing impaired Hadestown audience member who got yelled at for having a captioning device that was mistaken for a cellphone.

I loved Stil Star-Crossed. I’m a sucker for an enemy to lover romance. So sad it got canceled. I think if it’d been on Netflix instead of ABC it may have had a better chance.

I just finished To Catch Raven by Beverly Jenkins which is the last of her “Women Who Dare” historical romance series. Raven comes from a family of con artists trying to overcome racism and poverty by their schemes. Brax grew up wealthy and an upstanding figure in his community. Blackmail by a corrupt Pinkerton detective forces Brax and Raven to work together in an undercover operation pretending to be married and find a lost original copy of the Declaration of Independence. This was an entertaining romance and I hate to see the series end. Raven’s family is large and full off people who I would love to see branch off into their own series. I could easily see cousin Lacie or Renay being featured in a romance of their own. Then there’s the cousin who is passing as white to go to medical school and as a result has had to distance himself from the family. So many stories could come from these characters.

I’m halfway through Fairytale by Stephen King. Teenager Charlie saves his cranky recluse neighbor Mr. Bowditch with the help of Bowditch’s dog Radar. Charlie commits to helping him through his recovery due to a promise he made during an extremely difficult time in his life. There’s something in the shed in the yard of Bowditch’s house that leads Charlie on a perilous journey. King really takes his time with this one letting us get the to know the characters well before the adventure begins. I think the set up could have been trimmed a bit but I am invested in Charlie’s journey.
