Bethenny & Jason: The Divorce Showdown
Pattycake2 replied to ScoobieDoobs's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Question - I see and hear quite a bit about Bethenney and her divorce struggles and the evil Jason, but I don't seem to see or hear much from Jason. If he was the gigantic fameho as Bethenney has intimated, why don't I see him in the tabs? -

I can't wait to see Heather's house completed! That's some real estate eye-candy I found this baseball statistics webpage that reports that Jim Edmonds earned over 87 million in his career. Of course, there are taxes, and agents, and managers, and ex-wives. Still, I bet they could afford whatever fairytale mean witch evil stepmother castle errrr.....home they like. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=edmonji01 -

Marriage Boot Camp - General Discussion
Pattycake2 replied to David T. Cole's topic in Marriage Boot Camp
What a pile of manipulated crap! I gotta say, Kendra and Hank are great actors. Fame ho's each and every one of them. How long have Aubrey and Travis been together anyways? And how can he stand her egomaniacal narcissism? I remember when Arsenio Hall said that she proudly showed him numerous cell phone pictures of the cocks of the black men she had dated when they both were on CAP. Guess they were just helping her with her career. -

DId you check out the body language on the Bethenney side of the couch. Carole was enrapt and following every word coming out of Bethenney's mouth. Heather was pulled slight away from Carole. I wouldn't be surprised if Heather didn't come back for another season. Her brand received very little exposure and her bestie has moved on to someone who gets a bigger slice of the Real Housewives pie. As far as the toast to bring Bethenney down. It's no biggie. They were all worried and pledging to present a solid front to the Bethenney steamroller coming to town. Carole has only been truly upset with two things while being a Housewife. Aviva saying she had a ghostwriter and Adam. No matter how many times Carole says she just having fun and they are keeping it light, I'd say she's in deep. And the cookbook thing backs that up. I wonder if that is how she is planning to fulfill her third required book? And I bet Bethenney helped cook up the idea. The thing I find is that Lu has never been subtle. She speaks the obvious, usually twice, brays when she laughs, and is not quick with a smart reply. Carole is measured, witty, good with words, but, frankly, every bit as nasty as anyone else. She just couches it in the sly barb. They all gossip about each other. And they know they do. Stop tattling. No one has the high ground here. Carole - Lu doesn't like your relationship with Adam. Fine. Not everyone has to. Just keep it out of her face and don't poke the beast. And while you're at it, maybe stick up for Heather one in awhile with your new bestie. -

An acrimonious divorce can lead using the children as weapons in the fight. Bethenney should have watched The War of the Roses. Danny DeVito's advice at the end of the movie is very good. "A civilised divorce is a contradiction in terms........ So, look. Here it is....... When it comes to your wife, l'm going to urge you to be generous to the point of night sweats. The all-important thing is to get you through this as quickly and cleanly as possible so that you can begin rebuilding your life. Or...you can get up and go home, and try to find some shred of what you once loved about the sweetheart of your youth." Something told me Bethenney fought tooth and nail not to give up anything she thought was hers and they both and her little girl are suffering for it. -

There is discussion over in the Brandi Glanville thread that Brandi is intimating that she and Kristen are getting their own spinoff. If there is a god, please no. -

I believe that Lu thinks it's okay to have all the young ass you want. Just don't bring him to a dinner party i.e. send them home a la Turks and Caicos. Regarding Carole's open relationship, she either said it a few episodes back or someone referenced it here. I don't recall which, but I didn't pull it out of nowhere. -

Tell me. Is there anything even remotely appealing about Meghan? As far as I can see, nothing. But i was thinking, I've never seen Jim be particularly pleasant either. Maybe they are a match made in heaven. -

Considering Carole does not cook at all, I wonder who used her cotacts to get the deal done? I wonder if the boy chef is being subsidized? I wonder if someone is taking her fun relationship more seriously than she admits? -

I think everyone was advised to head into the party and let it rip. And they all whipped themselves into a frenzy, especially Betheney who could. not. shut. up. I don't think Adam is as sweet and sexy and most folks believe. Supposedly, while he and the niece were dating, her family took him under their wing and introduced him to everyone and promoted his cooking. So, did he dump them and move on to Carole's circle of contacts? As far as Carole saying they were just having fun, she said it was an open relationship which appears to be that she sleeps with Adam and Adam dates as many women as he likes. Fine. But I get tired of Carole's endless too cool for schoolness while she's the wing man for every spilled confidence and blow up while scampering happily from one group to another. When Lu said Adam's not the guy you tell the children about, she meant their relationship wasn't serious enough to act like it was so. A little twist on it from Carole sparked the no kids comment. And I don't know why that would be a stab in the heart to Carole. Being a widow didn't shut down her chance of motherhood during the last 16 years. If she wanted a kid, she would have had a kid, naturally or not. -
I went searching for medical articles that would link leaky silicone with Yo's symptons. Nada. I thought that maybe this was another example of grabbing a diagnosis out of the air. Then, I found one study posted conducted on Dutch women which linked silicone implants with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Not Lyme Disease. And CFS seems to exhibit the symptoms I read her as having. But I guess she can't give up being the brave poster girl for Lyme Disease, can she?

What I've gotten out of all of this is - There aren't really any clothes. It was either an exploratory thing to see if Sonja's name could actually sell clothes on line or a money laundering scheme. And Lady Morgan just might go there considering her unstable fraudulent business background. Heather and Bethenney were not told it was a model selection meeting so that the camera could catch their reactions. If they had just nodded and smiled, the scene would have been edited out. Bethenney went after Ramona on purpose either for personal or producer-driven reason. Look, we're both wearing similar hemlines! didn't trigger it. Look, we're both wearing blue! Look, we both have legs! Whatever. -

KUDOS! I think you are completely correct! And maybe, just maybe, this line was never intended to go into real stores, but to only sell online. And that 's why there doesn't seem to be a real office or team members that can answer any questions. It's just an internet side bit to those folks. -
S10.E09: Swimming With The Sharks

I loved sleepovers and slumber parties when I was a kid. We had such fun! I remember us sneaking out of my bedroom window to sit on the grass and stare at the moon. Core memory. Sometimes these days it seems like sports have taken over all spare kid time. The kids get driven to practices, the parents sit and watch and drive them home and there is a frickin' tournament of some kind every weekend which sucks up all free time for all members of the family. I don't mind a good WIU episode, but those ladies were waaaay too drunk for my liking. Of course, I always think why ruin a lovely day in a once-in-a-lifetime locale for an evening you won't even remember. Brooks - people I've know with cancer turn into skeletons. Why would Brooks choose to starve his body? Cancer takes care of that. Why not eat to build yourself up? -

Well, I didn't get the whole Bethenney/Ramona confrontation. The dress thing was..what...a year before this was filmed? And Bethenney brought it up earlier in the season. And confronting Ramona about gossipping behind her back? They all do it. Constantly. Unless this was some kind of attempt to feed into the season theme of breaking the Girl Code, I don't understand why this was the time that Bethenney released her inner rottweiler. Maybe it was producer driven. -
S07.E15: Don't Be All, Like, Uncool
Pattycake2 replied to zoeysmom's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Heather was pissed off cuz she found a naked stranger sleeping in the open door connected room to her own. I get that. Heather storms into Ramona's room to confront her. I enjoyed that. Heather barges into Lu's room and gets told off by a confused Lu. Enjoyed that, too. Hungover, very sleepy Lu sullenly goes on the offensive. That's good, too. Sonja looking like the cat that ate the canary cuz she didn't have anal in the garden with Lu's sloppy seconds. Priceless. And hey, wasn't it Carole who got all self-righteous over the pirate party? -
Heather Thomson: Inventor of Yummie Tummie
Pattycake2 replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Yeah, Heather got stiffed this season. Skinny Girl everything displayed everywhere, Kristen's fashion blog, Lu's clothing line, but Heather received practically no business exposure at all and was portrayed as a controlling bossy boots. She doesn't need the money, so why stay? The negative picture shown of her can't be a help to her business and she'll always be able to user "former housewife" in her cv. -

The Meghan/Shannon drama seems all producer driven to me in order to give Meghan a story line. It reminds me of when Joyce was all upset with Vanderpump for some forgettable reason at the beginning of her season. Except that Joyce couldn't carry it very long. She was too nice of a person. Looks like Meghan isn't nice, so she's running hard with it in hopes she doesn't get the end of season boot. -

Let us not forget that not only did Shannon and David never spend any time away with each other, but they didn't even go to bed together. A sexless marriage has to be a mutually acceptable agreement or it means trouble. -
I like Heather. She amuses me. There was no false humbleness when describing her new house. It was all "It's Over the Top, Expensive, and I Deserve It!" That made me laugh and I want to see that house. I want to see the 14k bathroom sink. I want to see her dress impecably. I want to marvel how she doesn't have a line on her face on her perfectly taut face. There's no screeching, no bimbo-ness, no bleached blonde hair, no boobs hanging out. Just some amusing non-self awareness. I'm happy.
