  1. During the reunion, we were reminded that folks thought Amanda was phony and told her to her face and that Char constantly took crap. Frankly, I got good and tired of Sandhya whining about how she was being bullied and she was STILL doing it at the reunion. Seems like most people got into it with others and they all spoke shit about each other. Sandhya, you had a chance to see this while watchng the show. Get over yourself. You didn't lose because people didn't like you. You lost because because some of your stuff and the vision you defend was simply terrible.
  2. I don't understand the whole Jeff thing saying Hunahpu was winning because they were eating more rice. But, isn't Coyopa eating fish? They have the fishing gear. I laughed when Jeremy said if Val was still there they'd make sure to stay far away from each other. Heck, no. From all indications,Val would have done what ever was the dumbest thing to do. With Josh and Reed being the only couple on Hunahpu, I think they figured that they already had a target on their back so why not act like a couple? If Jeremy thought that the merge was coming and that they could hold out for food, why not also consider the opposite? The that the merge was coming and shelter would come back so why not eat and keep up their strength? ETA: I read somewhere that Jeff delivered the rice and took back the supplies at sunset. Time would have been limited to work on the shelter.
  3. Nope. It's Hillsong and they meet in the Grand Ballroom in the Manhattan Center. 4 services every Sunday and room for 1200 at a time. I don't think Reed is claiming to be a virgin. I think Josh wants to wait and he agreed. It seems odd to me, but whatever.
  4. I just put some cash in the Giudice pockets. Ordered my sis some Fabellini as a pre-Christmas present. LOL
  5. I hate how the twins double team to attack anyone who they think is being rude to them. Sort of like raptors with big tits and very annoying voices.
  6. This. Totally. And, yeah, I knew the trees were protectors before the Doctor did. Not cool.
  7. They have been dating for over two years. I think they met in May of 2012. Plus, Josh's father is a pastor and his brother is a missionary. Josh also is heavily involved in a megachurch in NYC. So, it is entirely possible that he insists on this route.
  8. Having now seen the promos, I see that I'm completely wrong. Back to the drawing board!
  9. I'm a little disappointed that Sean won, but whatever. It'll be up to Sean to make the most or least of his talents. I do this it was an absolute disgrace to only give the designers 4 weeks to prepare their collections. That's over 2 looks a week to be conceptualized, sewn and refined. No handy workroom of sewers back in LA to help. I love Tim Gunn. Yes, he does say that each group is the most talented, but did you see the designer's faces when he said it? They lit up and they needed it.
  10. i'm still on the Hunahpa will have to give up a tribe member to Coyopa as payment for the rice train. And it will be Josh, thus saving Reed/Josh from a couples elimination. Guess we'll see!
  11. I seem to recall that the Hunahpu are eating snails along with the rice. Didn't someone say they were down to only a couple of handfuls of rice plus to eat plus the snails they find? Thanks, I totally forgot that.
  12. It seems that Hunahpu traded those sweet sausages for fishing gear cuz they knew they were running out of rice. Unfortunately, there aren't any fish swimming by their patch of beach. I wonder how far they are permitted to wander looking for food? It's not real cocoanutty there either. From the previously seen clip of Jeff saying (to noone in particular) "You're going to lose a member", it looks clear to me that Hunahpu's punishment is to send a tribe member over to Coyopa. I'd guess that Josh will volunteer. It takes the Josh/Reed couple out of the line of fire of the singles and Josh can realign with Baylor.
  13. Question - the ramming train was rigged to move without a driver and it was on an active line. Did it just disappear? Did it continue on its way until it ran into another train or ran out of gas? Why wasn't the conductor concerned? Rigsby was fun, but he was just another teenage nod to the kiddies.
  14. Well, dang.
  15. FINALLY! This planet is protected. I am THE DOCTOR and you are not welcome here! THAT's what I've been waiting to hear. Clara and Danny continue to annoy me, but I finally have a Doctor! Woot!
  16. One thing that bugged me was Nina going on about Kini changing up his collection to reflect a range of items such as shorts. I live in a large urban area and have never seen anyone wearing a designer shorts outfit on the street. Casual shorts on the weekend or after work, yes, but a real shorts outfit? Never. The designers have been including them in their collections for years and it has never transferred as far as I can see to the general public. Time to stop the shorts.
  17. Personally, I generally think that makeup is makeup and that it probably is all made in just a couple of factories like nail polish. It's the makeup artist who creates a good or bad look. Have the designers had only five (really four when you consider Rome) weeks to make a collection in the past? I seem to recall the the time being at least a couple of months with Tim's visit halfway through. Then the designers would have an entire week in NYC before the show to finish up and do the dreaded extra look. I would have loved a room like the BW in Rome instead of the overpriced drab ones I've stayed in. And I loved seeing Tim in Rome. He was a sculpter and actually taught sculpting at the Corcoran Museum in DC. He must adore Italy. I had to laugh when Sean said his place was too small to work in. Didn't Christian sew up his entire collection in a closet as well as sleep in it at night? I don't know who is going to win. I'm clueless on this one.
  18. So I guess this means we'll see Clara keeping her travels from Danny. Then Danny finding out and being all pissed. Then Danny saving Clara and the Doctor and probably humanity and Clara almost losing him, I'm guessing. And then Clara and Danny heading into the sunset together with the Doctor looking all sad with some kind of twist at the end. Did the Doctor say he teleported all the survivors into the Tardis? If he could do that, why didn't he do it before any more people died? That would have left him as the only target for the mummy which is what he wanted. I wonder if all the cook staff will end up in Paradise. And the sonic screwdriver was once again fairly useless. And where the heck is Gallifrey? Didn't Moffat say this season would be about finding Gallifrey?
  19. Even though it was written by Jamie Mathieson, I really began to see the Moffat Sherlock/Watson parallel. Capaldi would make a great older Sherlock, btw. Anyways, just as in Sherlock, we have The Doctor being clueless and callous of the feelings of others, inside his own head, and brilliant. His Watson realizes that he is addicted to the danger of being Sherlock's companion. And Watson's wife, who started off as a nice woman, is actually a trained killer, i.e. Danny Pink. I hate what Moffat has done to Sherlock and it's odd seeing it on Who.
  20. This. I couldn't stand the - Do you have any games? Is there wifi? You're travelling in space & time. Shut up. Just another this is a kid show reminder. What happend to the Impossible Girl? The one willing to fracture herself into a hundred bits to save and protect The Doctor? Instead, we have Clara feeling so betrayed that she actually had to make a decision. And it's a decision The Doctor has had to make over and over in the past 2000 years. Doesn't feel good, does it Clara? I missEeleven. With all the goofiness and childishness, occasionally you'd get a glimpse of his unfathomable depth and frightening power. I'm not getting that from this Doctor. Also, what's the deal with the sonic screwdriver? It doesn't seem to do much these days. Adding: I guess we've got an episode coming up where Danny proves to The Doctor that he's good enough for Clara. Oh, joy.
  21. Absolutely! The remaining designers should have been doing Happy Dances. If Tim had chosen Fade for instance, Korina could have been kicked out way before now. By Tim choosing who everyone considers a less talented designer, the remaining designers should have been able to kick her butt to the curb easily. Except Korina couldn't quite manage that, could she? Chairy is much prettier.
  22. It's too much because, for me, their relationship has been full of plenty of miscommunications and hurt feelings, but no real progression. Some indication of the number of dates, or the two of them having real fun, or just some moonie eyes between them would have worked far better to establish a real relationship. But, then again, I've always been fond of Clara and have come to think Danny a bore.
  23. It comes on at 8:30 in the UK.
  24. I'm beginning to think this is all some kind of master plan by Moffett to take Doctor Who back to its roots. The story is more about the companion and his/her journey than the doctor - check. The Doctor is a crusty old alien who doesn't really understand humans - check. The stories are less complicated to appeal to children -check. Even the repetition and non-subtle reactions - easier for kids to follow. The problem is, the genie was let out of the bottle over the past seasons. Yes, sometimes it was wa-a-y too complicated - The Silence, babies born in space, so much timey-wimey that it was hard to understand what the heck was happening sometimes. But, nu-Doctor is nu-Doctor. That's the Doctor I loved. I adored the fun episodes, but also the complexities.
  25. Here's how I saw this episode: 1. It was aimed more towards children, i.e. taking place in a school, jokes about bodily functions, a kid getting to travel in the tardis. 2. I agree. There is absolutely no chemistry between Clara and Danny. I have absolutely no idea why they are together. 3. I no longer like Danny Pink. His sullenness, mouthing off to the Doctor (puhleaz), and a just plain blah factor. 4. In contrast to Danny, I'm actually liking Capaldi more. He was the only interesting character in the whole show. Why shouldn't have he been bored and dismissive of Danny. I bored with him, too. Someone mentioned upthread that Clara didn't defend Danny to the Doctor. Well, why the heck didn't she really defend the Doctor to Danny. When Danny was getting all out of control over the Doctor being a Lord, a bit of discussion on how the Doctor has saved earth and every life on it multiple times as well as probably a billion people in the universe and that he is the smartest man in the universe would have knocked that smirk off of Danny's face and given him a little understanding of why Clara travels with him. 5. I totally agree with those wondering why the Doctor doesn't seem to understand humans. 1800 years of travellling with them should have clued him in by now. 6. The whole anti-military thing. Yes, it will probably be tied to Missy and Paradise at some point, but it's tiresome to be hit over the head repeatedly with it.
