  1. I'm so glad many of you are as irritated as I am about Baby's ridiculous (IMO) opinions about childbirth methods equating to the love a mother has for their kid. That shit is cray! Here is the messed up thing, though: This isn't some random belief that Afro Christians have. That belief probably has more origins as an import from the US. A couple of people from my high school are born again Christians (different denominations, but protestants) who believe in being quiverful (creating an army for Christ through LOTS of kids), and they have mentioned trying to ensure Satan/damn doctors don't interfere with the birth plans. These birth plans are very specific in that there are no c sections b/c the mother must suffer (I've heard all manner of things...for the original sin, to sacrifice for a healthy baby, etc) to be most right with their God. I do not begrudge people their beliefs, but DAMN is that awful convenient way to once again screw and own women's bodies. My heathen ass really struggles with the concept. Also? Fuck off, Binyam. Poor lil Simba isn't going to have a moment's peace with these two pain in the asses b/c neither parent is a prize. Ariella made a choice to have this baby in Ethiopia and now has to live with those consequences. **shrug** Speaking of couples slumming in mediocrity after a vacation hook up baby...Deavan and Jihoon are such a dysfunctional clusterfuck. He is annoying and feckless, but she whines about everything. You know what's smart to add to your messy ass house with a toddler and a small monster of a child? A fucking puppy. Jesus Christ. What a mess they are! The epitome of this is the rug scene. So, he thinks the rug should be washed, but he certainly isn't going to do it, and she seems confused at the idea of cleaning a basic household furnishing, so she does it in the most half asses, ineffective way possible. Nice. Who is paying for the wedding?! Libby's dad? Yazan looks so rough! Omg! Meanwhile, Brittany is living it up in Chicago. Yazan, run, fast and far from this girl. Armando and Kenny continue to be lovely and on a totally different, significantly better tv program. Hannah is so cute! My heart broke for splitting apart. Small consolation: I was about Hannah's age when we moved from Trinidad to America. It was hard going from having 20+ first cousins around at any time, and tons of aunts/uncles/extended family to just mom/dad/I here in the States. It was tough, but my parent moved to give me better and I had them and the New Kids on the Block. Kids are resilient. I ended up just fine, and so will Hannah. Meyleza and Cheesestick should not be together. They seem to live to hurt each other with petty bullshit. At the risk of falling into Friends territory, "we were on a break" doesn't cut it here. They both kinda did something fucked up (but I think Cheesestick was worse). Either learn to forgive and move on or break up. The middling choice of staying together and strewing is tiresome.
  2. This show only works, IMO, with contributors who are very self aware and willing to be in on the joke. For example, the combo of Yolanda and her daughter b/c she has grown a little self awareness and her daughter giving her "ya dumbass" looks really works. Stephanie is significantly more likable, as she is self deprecating, and willing to, at least on the surface, take responsibility for why she fucked up her relationship. I actually really liked Ericka during her season, but her complete lack of any responsibility for her relationship makes me like her a little less. I'm sure a lot of this was mostly Steph's fault, but Ericka wasn't perfect either. On the other hand, David and Rose are both shrill and takes every tweet and opinion WAY too seriously. I'm not looking forward to Angela on any of these shows b/c she is mean spirited and thinks of herself as judge/jury/executioner.
  3. Ugh. These people. We are watching for chuckles and WTF else is on Mondays? Chantel's family continues to be dysfunctional. I don't have a great read on Royal yet, but my initial thoughts: I think Royal is always going to get away with more because he is the oldest and a male. I've been out of the dating game a long time, so I don't understand randomly friending someone from a different country in order to pursue a romantic relationship. Weird that everyone seems totally fine with it b/c watching the 90 Day franchise for years gives me pause. Royal does seem a bit controlling. I get the drinking and clubbing b/c she may not be used to that lifestyle and giving her some info, but the curling hair and such is a lot. Royal showing up seems VERY producer driven (like he would have gotten in dressed like that)...that club seemed empty, so I bet it was still early in the night when they did the whole thing. His demeanor, while caring, b/c Angenette was drunk, was a bit controlling. IMO, he doesn't seem like anyone that hasn't gotten what we wanted when he wanted it. He also seems to have little to no respect for Chantel. You would think that normal people would find kinship in the K1 process with their sibling in a similar situation, but obviously they aren't going to do that here. It is going to be competing, and insulting. Chantel and by extension Pedro are always going to pay for that original lie of who Pedro is and why he was here, and the subsequent issues of Pedro's family "hunting an American". While I get it, Chantel's parents were never going to welcome Pedro in the same way they seem to be open to Angenette. Plus, they have been married for 4 years; calm the fuck down, Family Chantel. I can see that Pedro is hurt and even a bit jealous of that. I get that, and Chantel is too immature to understand that she needed to address that properly with everyone. I can't wait to see Nicole's big secret about her bf. Homeboy seems a little shady and he def isn't my type. One of my best friends is Dominican and she theorizes that he is a catch b/c he is in America with that American dollar, as well as being lighter skinned and more European than Afro in look. Nicole continues to be a selfish bitch, so I can't wait for her to have problems. It's karmic that her judgy ass is about to catch some pain. Nicole and Chantel both need to calm the fuck down with how they talk about each other. I def was petty and chuckled at "client" referring to Nicole's bf, but it seems counterproductive and honestly unfair to Pedro.
  4. My favorite part of watching is the other trainwrecks comment on the segment feature and their relationship, as though they are something to aspire to. I can't take Andrei or Colt seriously when they question anyone else (or ever). What level of woman are you in terms of self esteem and desperation to end up in an entanglement with someone like Colt? I love that all his defense is coming from his mama. I also love that even if Vanessa is trash for jumping in and out with him while he is in relationships, she has NO interest in being with a mess like him. I don't care for Jess, but it turns out that she was 100% right. Colt is a liar, a cheater, and a gaslighter. I hope after all of this Colt ends up alone with Debbie and those cats b/c ladies, y'all deserve better than a tiny penis and a hot mess of a relationship that included crazy exs, bad sex, his mama, and all this fucking drama. Colt-ee probably does "love fucking", but the lady doth protest too much...I feel like he probably wants it, but doesn't actually get it very often. I would love to have heard Debbie's defense for knowing that Colt cheated b/c she has been saying he hasn't all along: "It's your fault, you drove him away." This is also high level speculation, but the way Debbie and Colt are together gave me chills; know you if he laid hands on a woman, his mama would most likely defend him and victim blame. Ew. Good to see Elizabeth's natural bitchy judgmental side come thru. That's what I think she is all the time. Asuelo is useless. What kind of grown child blocks his wife? You could be mad and such, but you have children. If there is an emergency, and no one can get a hold of you, what then? Aseulo is a good candidate for being American with the shitty way he has handled the pandemic....bitching about it not being that deep while going out into closed spaces and putting his family at risk. He just sucks, and I feel for Kahlani, but she yoked herself to this man and had TWO babies with him. This is mean, but Asuelo, his mom, and sister all look like they have something developmental going on...their affects are just odd. I do wonder where Lo is in all of this....he seems to have been a non presence this season. After all this time, Angela and Michael still have no idea how to communicate. It isn't a tell all unless Angela starts screaming, cursing, and storms out. So. Check. Skyla's "aig" belongs to her; Michael and Angela have no right to it. The things you have to make clear to people. But, Michael should probably not have picked an older woman if his expectation about a baby was so high...same reason that Angela should be more careful picking a younger man. Can Syngin and Tania call it quits? These are two people that enjoyed having sex and then created a whole mess of a relationship because of it. I can believe that Syngin's drinking is out of control b/c he is so nonchalant about it. "So I got fired for drinking on the job so hard, it became a thing...hello, they let people buy me shots! That's not my fault" I like his friends b/c they are petty as hell, and that cracks me up, but this marriage isn't just Tania's fault. Tania is a shrew, but it takes 2 to make a marriage, and Syngin seems unwilling to make the commitment. Like this year hasn't sucked enough, I have to hear about these ppl and their fake sex lives? Embellishments or straight up lies (we know that Eric-ee doesn't dine on lady sandwich...come on...).
  5. What a mess these two are! If it is just them, it can be catty and annoying, but when it is them and 2 men it is a competitive dumpster fire. Jesus. I love the way they just lay shit on each other. "Um, he's married." "Um, WE'RE married." "Um, did you see the saddest 'sex' tape of all time?" So Gorgie Pogie is marry warried? Dang, girl. Darcey sure can pick 'em. You know, I bet you he did tell her quickly in passing when she was drunk in Miami. He seems the type to make the whole thing make sense "baby, I haven't seen her in more than 1 yr. And we were so unhappy. And I love you now. This divorce should be quick. And easy. B/c I'm an immigrant and might have other secrets. KBye. Have another drink?" Florian's affectations are so annoying. I feel like I would smack him. I'm literally asking you what you want for breakfast and you are giving me attitude. Fuck you, cheating moocher. These ladies are a gd mess in every aspect of their lives. Their apartments give me claustrophobia, my single dorm room in college was about the size of that living space and it was just for me.
  6. I was DYING with the "there it is!" on brand nature of Darcey "liking the ring" (BLECH!) of Gorgi's last name. This is the desperate Darcey that we know with Jesse and Tom. FFS, girl. He looked SHOOK. I was waiting for Stacey and that ridic dress to go up like a baked Alaska with those tacky candles. LOLOL. My friends and I were live chatting, and we were cackling at the race to get married outside her father's doorstep without letting anyone know. That seems like a solid basis of a marriage. This is especially interesting with the plotline of the chick that Slothy cheated with. I think Stacey is willing to let the cheating go, but I think Darcey is going to continue to put this on front street. Those of you that discuss the "cliches" - I'm 100% with you. It all feels so damn artificial, just like them. I say this as a happily married woman of 12+ years...love isn't those things. Those are nice things, but love is dealing with the harsh reality of life. It's A/Cs shutting down in the middle of a Florida swampy summer. It's juggling kids/family, work, life to prioritize each other. It's about figuring out what battles you are willing to fight, and those you are willing to say "it isn't that deep". It's spending a quiet day at home with each other. Someone gave these women a foundation of non-reality that have have chased (like their looks) everyday of their lives. My husband and I talk about the daughters all the time. Are they ok? Is the fact that mom is a bit much actually a good learning tool for them? The kids take on Darcey jumping in with Gorgi so quickly is really telling. They don't want to see their mom rinse, lather, repeat, yet again. They don't want to see her hurt, or involved in the drama. They both seem to think she's a little crazy and are both a little into themselves, but that all seems really normal for kids their age.
  7. David & Gigolo are both SUPER humorless about this format. While I want to kick Ed, he's in on the joke a bit. Yolanda, Stef, and high AF Avery seem to get the format and have a good sense of humor about it. I don't like that Ed seems to be falling back on "Rose didn't know what she wanted or had bad intentions, so that's why it didn't work". Maybe. But, you know what really killed the vibe? 1) You being cruel to her about things related to her body b/c you clearly thought we were better than her and 2) not telling her about not having interest in having more kids when you knew that was part of her deal. We watched the season, bro. Don't backtrack and write some revisionist history. Avery seems so much more relaxed not deal with Ash. It might also be the weed. LOL
  8. My husband and I are a few episodes in. Kadeem Hardison & Method Man (!) have been the most pleasant throwback surprise! This is surprisingly deep even with how fun it is. Lots of "hey, it's that guy" ppl. Sterling & Blair can be irritating, but they are loveable.
  9. Those impossible shoes they like to stuff their feet in! My husband is from Queens and last time we went to NYC, I asked that do the midtown tourist thing (think walking thru Central Park, going to Grand Central, hitting up the NY Public library, drinking a coffee in Bryant Park, etc etc). You know what I wore? Some damn sneakers because I'm mad cute, but we did 27K+ steps that day, and I didn't want to be hobbled. I told my friends we should start a drinking game every time Florian the Sloth calls Stacey "angel". We quickly abandoned the idea b/c our livers would give up 10 min in. "I trust you, but the phone I just bought you will have my thumbprint" is SOOOOO Darcey/Stacey. You can tell Sloth is in it for the sugar mama. His modeling pictures are SUCH A LIE compared to what he looks like IRL. How does Darcey and her issues keep hooking into these men? DC Viktor Krum is actually giving me good vibes. He's cut, cute, down for the chase, but isn't yet weird. I'm sure we'll find out 100 weird things about him b/c that is what Darcey attracts, but for the moment, he seems great. Also, this is rebound is totally b/c Stacey has the Sloth coming into town. Everyone but Darcey knows. SUPER telling how mad Darcey got about the suggestion to see a therapist. This is part of the sister's issues right there - why wouldn't she pull her sister aside and let her know what's up about seeing Tom and in a very separate conversation talk to her about just seeing something to talk about the two very ugly, very public breakups she's had? They have no idea how to communicate with each other. Darcey's girls seem fairly well adjusted, and I always appreciate a mean girls reference. Finally, these woman have a problem with expectations and the fantasy being real. Whether Darcey's bathtub scene (which was actually adorable b/c Darcey is a bit of a klutz, which I appreciate) or Stacey's "perfect night" when poor Sloth came in from a multi hour flight, their level of expectation is too high to fulfill or sustain for a long, healthy relationship.
  10. Yo, was tonight everybody show their ass night? (Except, in a turn of events, Andrei who learned that to keep that money rolling in, he needed to STFU) I am 5 ft tall. Thus, I very much have a lady Napolean complex. That said, you have to be able to write checks that your ass can cash. If Tammy thinks Kalani wouldn't fuck her up, Tammy is more delusional than I thought. And, to be fair, I already thought her thinking taking food out of her nephews' mouths is ok was pretty delusional. Mother Aseulo is disgusting. I can't imagine the Samoan community is feeling their portrayal as moneygrubbing assholes. I have a few Samoan friends from college....like us South Asians, the family having each other's back is a big deal, so this is, IMO, a pretty gross affront to not just decency, but to their culture. I would love to hear Lo's take and have him be a part of the mix. Asuelo needs to stop talking to his wife like that before he ends up right back on Samoa dancing for tourists to give money to his family. Call me a "fucking asshole", prick. I know Kalani has made these terrible decisions, but I feel bad for her tonight. He is awful. She can't win whatever she does. Just terrible. Of course Larissa is happy to sign a contract to "borrow" money. She is never going to pay it back. What would he sue her for? She ain't got but a utility shelving full of make up and some ugly clothes. Chile, please. My god, Tania and Syngin do not need to be together - they make each other miserable, they don't want the same things, and clearly, the lusty haze that smoothed out all the rough edges are LONG gone. Her outburst at the family BBQ was too much and totally inappropriate. As a Floridian, I feel like I spend too much of my time apologizing for those from my state. Well, I guess family Libby makes me need to do a full court press. Jesus. They are the definition of ugly American. Ugh. The place is gloomy. The area is all run down. The food is "shitty peasant" food. The traditional clothes, which I thought quite pretty, is like "little house on the prairie". Gawd. Andrei's side (except for Andrei) seem like the nicest, kindest ppl. The most fascinating thing tonight, though, was Andrei's brother's wife, Ina. We caught a glimpse that she clearly does not like Andrei and his bitchy, rude ass. I would love to explore that piece a bit more before Libby came out (looking cute!) and berated them. Oh, look. Colt is lying to a woman again. Please see my notes from last week about his bullshit behavioral pattern. Yawn. That said, I hope Jess beats him senseless with a shoe when she finds out Vanessa is living there. These Nigerian woman are so elegant and classy, man. Both Aunt Lydia (my girl!) and Michael's mom looked beautiful! You know who is the opposite of classy, both in look and manner?! Fucking MAGAngela. She may have had a point with the idea that Mike seems to be playing both sides, but her downright abuse, yelling, screaming, slamming, cursing is the WORST. I'm a feminist, so I believe in equality - If the tables were turned, we would be asking for the man's blood (rightfully so!) if he behaved so poorly with his fiance. Angela is a shameful nasty POS. Mike, man, run. Far and fast.
  11. Doyle was a terrible asshole, but I liked him as a continued foil and supporting character. I didn't care for him dying. Did Douglas Smith get another project, or was it just another Mary situation? I thought he was going to make it, but that last scene between the brothers and the sitting shiva scenes were VERY well done. I hope this comes back for a season 3. It was different that season 1, but no less compelling, IMO. I want to see what happens to Lazlo (and hopefully, darling Bruhl gets more to do), Sara, John, and the supporting characters. I did not assume that Sara and John would actually end up together, but the reasoning did not make my heart break less. John really always gets the shit end of the stick. I know Bruhl is needed for Barron Zemo on Falcon & Winter Soldier and that production should be starting up again soon. I imagine if there is a next season, it will not be for a while. This is a little like Sherlock with the 3 leads having scheduling conflicts and such.
  12. I know Annie and Robert are off with a newborn, but where are Tim and Veronica?! I miss their take on things, and their general demeanor and dynamic. Imma need Sharp not to try to make Big Ed happen. Because. No. Awww, I think Shai is cute! Watching Alexei with his son is awful sweet. I don't always agree with Molly and Cynthia (esp about Andrei), but I enjoy them. They make me miss seeing my best girlfriends (no in person b/c COVID). The smooting with sage and the "satanic" owl (a la asshole Luis) cracked me up. Molly's howl wondering how in the world Colt has someone and she doesn't is legit. I agree with the posters above. Don't settle for terrible shit like Colt and the women who date him do.
  13. Whooo chile. My body is ready and my brain cells are ready to die. Very quickly, I feel like I understand more about why these women are what they are (I'll point out I'm a psychologist by trade, but not a therapist, so this is prob pure bullshit): 1) They felt boys didn't notice them in school until college & they got attention for their twinning and "unique" style. That may have led to some over-reliance in their whole look, which they aren't ever satisfied with, so they keep changing and "fixing" it. 2) They both seem to have some daddy issues, especially with the shade on the father's multiple marriages and now dating a Chinese woman (who I'm going to guess is a good bit younger), as well as their parents divorce. It may be unfair of me to judge, but the family dynamic at that dinner table did NOT seem warm. 3) They seem to both love each other and, yet, covet to "win" against each other. We knew this from prior seasons, but I find it fascinating they both seem to achieve this by crossing boundaries super easily (e.g. Stacey meeting with Tom and Darcey giving dad the tea re: Florian cheating). Personally, I would be interested in meeting the ex husbands. Who married them?! I'm already liking this WAY better than The Family Chantel. It's actually a bit of a good window into the women in a way I haven't seen previously b/c their appearance were always more about the men in their lives. And I'm sure once we have Florian here AND new Viktor Krum dude coming, it may go back to that. This is very mean: I can't get past that (obvious cheater) Florian looks like some sort of Eastern European sloth. I guess European men aren't all going to look like Sebastian Stan, Michele Morrone, Daniel Bruhl, or Raoul Bova? Because those dudes? **chef's kiss**
  14. You guys! America is so divided right now, but I'm so glad we can all agree that Family Libby are gross, ugly Americans (and as I've said previously, Tampa Trash). There is hope for us to heal! LOLOLOL Where to start...I feel like shit was uncomfortable this episode all around. Asuelo's family are just a bunch of assholes. I totally agree with Kahlani's TH at the farm. How can his mother watch her son get emotional and cry, and she's like "oh, don't cry, but, like, bruh, hand that money over, motherfucker?" Kahlani is showing a lot of restraint in biting her tongue and being respectful to that old witch and her hag daughters. Aseulo also made me proud/sad in the prior scene when he went to house alone with the gifts. They are all so out of line. So the sister's logic is 1) you married an American and she ain't giving us shit, so fuck her and 2) if she wasn't pregnant, you wouldn't have married her, so we are your real family and she just trapped you. That makes such little sense to me. They miss when Asuelo had no responsibilities and was easily controlled. You could see the discomfort on his brother in law's face and the poor kids who are just trying to play jenga. Based on what Asuelo said in the episode prior, them asking for money is their pattern. Gross, useless ppl. Angela is a mean bitch. I personally agree that submission to my husband isn't for me, so I married someone who didn't hold that as a value. It seems that she wants this man and a culture who holds a different value with zero willingness to flex. Also, the submission piece has nothing to do with basic respect. Michael's auntie is VERY astute: Angela doesn't want to be equal to Michael, she wants to rule him and make him her nanny and sex object (penis warmer?! the fuck) in the States. And I suppose all that would be fine if he's down, except that Angela keeps embarrassing both of them in front of important members of Michael's life. It's abusive the way she is alienating him from ppl. All the points to auntie Michael for being respectful, making her points, and cutting Angela down to size, while NEVER sacrificing her dignity to lowly MAGAngela. That's how it is done! They were total dude bros, but that meeting up with his homies is the happiest I've seen Syngin on this show. He obviously knows that he has made a real mistake with marrying Tania so quickly. Lest we forget, it wasn't even 90 days b/c of her little Costa Rica trip for a 1/3 of the time. Does it surprise anyone that she and he had a drunken night that she/he parlayed into moving in, and Tania started bossing the roomies around? That's SO on brand for her. I think he likes his drink, but I would imagine that the ill conceived marriage is driving him to excess drink and eating. Debbie/Colt...And Jess. Honestly, they should have just ended it at the airport b/c you know this is going to crash and burn. The convo in the car explains EVERYTHING about the Colt-Debbie-Other Female dynamic better than anything I've seen: Colt follows his teeny weeny shriveled little to a Brazilian Woman usually based on weird sex stuff and cats > Debbie doesn't like it b/c that's her man > Colt and the Woman are a trainwreck b/c both parties are nuts > Debbie plays the simpletons like a fiddle to sow the seeds of discontent > Colt lies to the woman about something b/c that's a major part of who he is, as he doesn't face accountability for his actions > Woman finds out and gets pissed at the little bitch & they fight > Colt gaslights and plays the victim that the "crazy" Woman overreacted (if in American, that includes calling the cops) > Debbie gaslights the Woman that her perfect boy is perfect > Colt and Debbie commiserate on how great they are and shit on the Woman's existence > Woman is left or leaves finally when Debbie and Colt have done their damage. Rise, lather, repeat. Until Debbie decides whomever is right for her moobed boy, this will always be the pattern. We've now seen some version of this twice. Larissa and her beard are so boring. I was more interested in the omelet making than their discussion. Larissa takes little to no responsibility for her actions, as usual. Look, Libby needs to grow the fuck up. She's raising a daughter and needs to do better: Andrei needs to apologize for his boorish behavior, and Charlie and Chuck need to apologize for their boorish behavior. I actually don't blame them for wanting the know more about Andrei's past (b/c you know there is something there), but Jesus, have a little more finesse in how you go about getting the info. Or, even better, have a real discussion with Andrei and make the environment one that makes it okay for him to be vulnerable. Her playing both sides at all times is all about self preservation. I will say that Andrei's behavior toward Libby when he was really drunk was bad...like, they need to get some help if this is normal (and it seemed a little too routine for both of them). ETA: Totally forgot about Paul and Karrine. I have no idea what happened, but: Karrine? You in danger, girl. Get your ass and your kid back to Brazil. Stat!
  15. I will always believe that Jenny is the greatest useless mess, but will ALWAYS thank her for introducing this phrase into the 90DF fandom lexicon. LOLOL. Re: Charlie and Chuck - Welcome to Tampa, all the rest of you. Look, I have friends in Tampa...I go there for concerts and one of my fav beaches is just outside St Pete. But. Libby's family are nothing, but pure Tampa trash. Ugh. That said, I think Andrei is a thug and a mean drunk. His obvious temper, lack of respect for others, and his general smug ramp up of attitude and demeanor since they have been in Moldova is gross. Asshole. Honestly, I wouldn't be fine with my husband talking to me like that. Plus since they rely on Chuck to pay for everything, Andrei can also STFU and take it, OR go be independent. You don't get both, ya little bitch. Re: ghosts - I like to say I'm not superstitious, but I'm little-stitious (TM The Office). I'm a behavioral scientist by trade and believe in science, but I'm also Trinidadian and island ppl believe. So, I hedge my bets. Thus, I don't believe, but I 100% believe. I will NOT do stuff like oujia and such. Plus as a long time Supernatural fan, I have an unhealthy view of how well I would be able to handle a demon ("get the salt, Sammy"). LOLOLOL Family Asuelo are a bunch of dicks. So basically, they want to be big dogs in Samoa and are telling everyone they are ballin', so they expect Asuelo to give them money, and they clearly expect Kahlani's family to pay for the kids and their lives in Utah. Umm, the sisters aren't even full sisters and they have something to say about all this money asking?! Fuck outta here. I have issues with Kahlani, but I loved her asking the bold sister if she contributes. The silence and her pushback "none of your business" non answer tells me everything. What entitled, nasty people they are. I was shockingly proud of Asuelo for standing up for himself and saying the right things. Let's see how long he can hold up to their bullshit before throwing Kahlani under the bus. Also. That kiss was weird AF. Additional thought: I would pay many dollars worth of Polynesian shirts to see Lo with Family Asuelo. I would love to see that dynamic. Haha. MAGAngela is awful. She isn't "real" or "wholesome", she's a ratchet bitch who cares about nothing and no one but her damn self. I LOVE Michael's sister b/c that lady clearly has zero interest in putting up with Angela's shit. And Angela is the typical bully...once you stand up with any backbone, she shrinks. Lydia is going to put her and Michael thru it. Can't wait. Sygin and Tania are very much exactly the people that shouldn't be married. Have some hot vacation sex and keep it moving. They value their individuality and have VERY different ideas as to what a marriage should be. Nope. Why are we still bothering with Larissa?! Quite clearly, her patterns of behavior are super clear. This is why she doesn't have real relationships: She plays everyone against each other to garner sympathy and she takes no responsibility for her actions. Add an attraction to toxic ppl, like Colt and Eric and here we are. Colt and Jess AND Debbie - You can see his pattern too: Lie to make things easier for him. Gaslight when he gets caught. I think Larissa is a hothead, but it is clear that Colt was able to paint a much more dire picture around the violence to get Larissa arrested. Jess shouldn't have thrown the shoes, but Colt's reaction (and Debbie's preemptive thought process) was like she was beating him with the shoes. Colt's mother/wife played him and Jess. And they are going to keep living that pattern until Colt is with a woman that mom approves off (aka has the chick under her thumb). Paul and Karine - OMG. I would take my ass with the kid back to Brazil instead of keeping with this loser in KY. Everyone, especially Paul keeps saying that she is from a shack, so anything is better. Clearly, that isn't the case. She understands her life in Brazil and she is surrounded by family. Here, she only has Paul, which is probably worse than nothing, and the living situation is strange. I agree with those of you that say she looks diminished or defeated; he has sucked the life out of her and I completely understand her mother's tears.
  16. I agree! This timelines are SUPER confusing to me because the baby is so little. I love the teeny, tiny maharajah! Baby August is soooo cute. I like that the moment things got a bit hairy, Chandrika was like, "we out...kbye". I knew Chanchal would be pregnant. **eye roll** Daniel is not a bad dude, but he makes bad decisions and running out on Chanchal when she was clearly in distress (due in part to him!) was uncool. I don't know if Chanchal at Badaal's mom's a solution either, but at least she seems a bit better. So, the French dude is hooking up with the empress?! Really?! Ok, show. I think it is the actress, but I really like Margaret (even if she is a Mary Sue). John is ok, but honestly, his character is a very blank slate...I don't know if it is the writing or the actor just brooding. Samuel and Violet deserve each other. I know, technically, Violet hasn't really done anything wrong, but she's irritating.
  17. I adore Leo Suter b/c I loved Young Stringer in Sanditon. He's probably one of the few redeeming characters here too. Daniel is a bit of rogue, but he's the only one suspecting the partner of villainy. I hope he isn't just playing Chanchal b/c based on the nature of this soap-y type of thing, I would expect that she's going to be knocked up from their tryst in the canopy, and where in the world would that leave her?! Also, the actor playing Baddill is so sweet with his soulful eyes, but I can't figure out if it disappointment he feels or whether there is a want here for vengeance against Daniel. Leslie Nichols is wonderful, but the character is so over the top one note in her disparaging everything "native". I know that was the prevailing attitude against the Indian population at that time by white Brits, but, lawd, give me layers. I think Miss Osbourne veers a bit into Mary Sue territory, but that actress was great in Endeavour, so I'm happy to see her here. The lavish nature of the costumes are just great. Even looking at the class differences in royalty, servants, and more common ppl in the market, you could see the attention to detail. The sets, especially Beecham House itself are incredible. I see no harm in continuing to watch, but it isn't my favorite. It is a pretty thing to pass the time, and I'm okay with that.
  18. I hadn't seen Tom Brittney in anything prior to Grantchester, but DAMN. When he turns on the charm, it is crazy magnetic. I'm a classy chick, so I wouldn't prefer an alley, but I'm not mad at Ellie...get it, girl. Damn, he was hot, and their dance was nicely done. Very nice turn to instant regret too. I'm sure we'll be exploring that next week. I'm less interested in the mysteries, as I'm happy for quiet character moments. In particular, Mrs C got me tonight. I'm South Asian, and while far removed from the partition b/c my family became indentured servants and moved to the Caribbean, I have heard many stories like Mr. Hassan's. Mrs C at the cafe with the boy hearing his story and the sense of dread, disappointment, and heartbreak when she heard about the ring was palpable. I don't know that I could forgive him either, IMO. Man, Kathy's mother is a piece of work! This is going to explode in Geordie's face. Get it together, man. Pay attention to what's happening in your house. I'm so dreading when the other shoe drops for Leonard. I'm so happy he's happy, but...that's not this show.
  19. Armando and Kenny feel to me like they belong on a different, significantly classier show. Jihoon ain't shit. His boys think he's a lazy POS. I laughed for hard at the entire Jenny/Sumit situation. He has moved her into an abandoned house far away from a major city that is apparently VERY dangerous. That's amazing. AMAZING. She's a grown ass woman with not a pot to piss in hopelessly in love with a spineless, lying shithead who isn't rushing to get that divorce. I cannot. Also, I'm just gonna say this (and it's mean) from my POV: As a South Asian women, I want to raise up my South Asian men for the attractive dudes they are. Yet, this dude is the most feckless asshole, and it makes him very unattractive (also, he's just unattractive, IMO).
  20. This is the trashiest trash. It's a show about a show, an after show, and some tweets. I'm so here. Oh my God. Someone should have told Avery not to do this. She seemed high af and loud. It was uncute. Rosemary is losing any goodwill I had for her. You "loved" him and he hurt you, now you are just nasty and insulting at every turn. Childish. Ed is coming off no better. What a douche! Ash is boring. So. Boring. I actually like Yolanda on here. Reading the tweets was quite funny. "Get Aunty Yolanda a fun uncle to get her back bent a little." Ded.
  21. I thought the first episode of the new series was fine. Love, LOVE the scenery, the clothes, and as many of you said, that move into the 50s. Personally, I like Will. Sydney was fine (and James Norton was delightful), but their painted the character into a corner and his last season was terrible. Will has some darkness and issues, but is ultimately trying to be a good dude. His dynamic with Geordie is good, and I think the actors have found a rhythm. I'm already amused at inappropriate Geordie introducing Will to every woman as celibate, and I loved Will's "can you not lead with that?!" This week's mystery was ok, and I'm sure we're in for more with the reporter. Will is easy on the eyes, and looks super cute in a tux. What can I say? I'm easy. Leonard continues to be the heart of the show; I would have LOVED to see more of the Moroccan adventure. I agree with the JudyO above; I'll take a little Masterpiece escapism as some respite from what's happening in real life right now.
  22. Not when mommy and daddy ji are footing the bills. And paying for his divorce, food, lifestyle, roof over head. It is crazy to me that Robert has been making me laugh with his comments. He and Anney seem to have a genuine relationship and Anney LOVES that kid. Veronica and Tim continue to be my homegirl/boy. They are how I live text with my friends. It's delightful. I loved Anney's commentary on her baller abuela having babies in the countryside with no doctor. "You'll be fine" That's true 3rd world country feels right there. And Molly and Cynthia have really grown on me. "Oh. No. Hon-nay."
  23. With every season that has gone by, I can say that I never liked anyone during their first episode. Well that streak ended tonight b/c I love LOVE LOVE both Kenneth and Armando. I'm already rooting for them, I almost cried during Kenneth's talk with his daughter and Armando's talk with his sister, and I want to hug them both and protect them from this vile show. They seem like lovely, loving people. How in the world did Sharp find them!? I hope they really are as awesome as they seem. Chile. Brittany is a damn mess. Former (?) sugar baby, Palm Beach "rapper" (Imma hit Soundcloud tomorrow b/c I can do that shit), ass and tits out, forgot she was married. Sweet trash! Going to move to Amman, Jordan to be with a VERY Muslim man in a VERY Muslim world. Chile. There is gonna be a fire up in here. And I'm about to be mean, so look away if that bugs you > Brit's body is bangin', but her face and the way she carries herself is ugly. I said what I said. Yazan looks like a bit of a druggie; my husband was like "you hittin' that hash a little hard, bruh". Their pictures are really well done...great filters, lighting, and angles, but that's not what they look like, umkay? Oh, Jenny. Girl. Why are you here again? You have no pot to piss in, and yet you are going back to this lying, useless, fugly scumbag. I think Sumeet loves her in his own way, but I think he is too much of a coward. I want to see them divorce papers before I would buy the plane ticket. PeriodT. I'm so excited to meet his parents! Uncle ji and Auntie ji look like they are gonna fuck him up and I'm so here for it. I had forgotten until tonight that watching Sumeet bumble and stumble into one mess in his life after the other brings me personal, childish joy. What a blow we've been dealt! The lady with the super sperm, who is going to have her baby in Ethiopia...man. I think ppl should do what they want to do, and I believe a woman should do what she thinks is right. My grandma birthed 9 kids in the house (including my 10 lb+ mama), no hospital, and some of my aunts did too (we're from Trinidad, and you'll find this in a lot of countries), so I'm not knocking it. But. Like. We moved to America for many reasons. THIS is one of them. Let's see if Baby is cool, or if he's a another scammer like Usman or Michael. He is obviously fine staying in Ethiopia (hence, the other way), so what's their deal?! I don't know that I care too much to see Devan and Jahoon. It's the same story with those two...he's lazy...she gets pissed...he's sorry, but doesn't change his behavior...she gets pissed...she feels like she has 3 children in a cramped space with a bidet and actively hates him...he plays with his dog and holds back some important truth she should be aware of. At least we get to see more of baby Taeyoung b/c he is a real cutie pie.
  24. Abbey and her British husband actually seem really cute together. He seems like a nice, normal dude and, you know, not a skeevy creeper old enough to be her father that was just using her. Good for her! Watching Pedro talk to mother Pedro and sister Pedro was the worst. What a shock that Nicole is a selfish "I'll do what I want" person and took a great chance to go to NYC during the pandemic and now can't go home. A shock, I tell you.
  25. I have to say, I was actually truly moved by the Loren-Alexei baby special tonight. It felt super true to them, they seemed more real than I remembered in their seasons, and all the stuff leading up to the birth and after were moving. Who's show is this? Sharp clearly messed up making something so decent.
