^ That would have been really cool to see! Does anyone here know much about Rick? I don't know if it's Kathy's age, her personality or having a secure partner, but she seems so comfortable in her skin. Some of the others seem like they compete for most popular housewife, most glam, etc. Kathy seems happy just being herself. I read Big Kathy kind of raised the girls to be competitive, not sure if that's true. I see that in Kyle, but not in Kathy.

Girls Next Door - General Discussion
RealHousewife replied to RealHousewife's topic in Girls Next Door
Agree. Men would be drawn to Bridget due to her looks, and women enjoy her because she's so sweet and bubbly. Yes. I think Holly is a sweet lady, but she does really roll her eyes over the thought some people believed she truly wanted to marry Hef and remain at the mansion. That was want she wanted everyone to believe on GND though. That she wasn't a gold digger or there to be a Playmate-that she found love with Hef. So I think she should cut young fans slack for buying what she was selling for years. I wonder if she was that miserable in Alaska or what. Most early 20s adults down on their luck would just move back in with their parents. Maybe she felt moving in was the only way she'd ever get a chance to make it in Hollywood. Yeah, Holly's a smart person and understands a lot of that better now in retrospect. She was just scarcely more than a kid and got in over her head. -
Yes, I remember when she cried after Tom told her he was proud of her and she said it was all she ever wanted. I thought, this poor thing never got praise growing up. I know that hurt little girl is still there, but it's hard to feel for her when she's so nasty. I think Erika has a killer bod, but my guess is Rinna considers everyone other than herself and Dorit overweight.

Sex And The City - General Discussion
RealHousewife replied to WendyCR72's topic in Sex And The City
Exactly. None of us watched for a family show, but having family members appear now and then would have added so much. Was Carrie's mom neurotic? Was Charlotte a daddy's girl? What were Mirandas siblings like? Was Samantha's family more traditional or more like her? -
Yeah, no telling huh! I remember when Andy asked Erika about Tom reading her book, she said something about him sounding great in it. I remember thinking her tone was like "I made him sound a whole lot nicer than he is." It sounds like Erika's childhood was typical in many ways. Most of us deal with some sort of dysfunction. Exactly. I don't know if people think hardship stories just garner more attention or what. Interesting about Tom. I am also drawn to people with positive mindsets. Not someone who's like, shut up and smile all the time. I want someone who's sensitive to problems and pain of other people, but still looks for the good and tries to be happy. Life's precious. Not surprised about Denise. I always thought she seemed like a sweetheart. She deserved so much better than how the other women treated her. Regarding Erika's smarts, I don't think most of us considered her Lisa Vanderpump smart. I did think she was smarter than to do what she's doing on RH now though. My guess is she also knew how to bank and wasn't as blindsided by Tom's dirty work as she'd like us to believe.

Ugh!: Actors, Hosts, And TV Personalities You Just Can't Stand
RealHousewife replied to UYI's topic in Everything Else TV
This might be because I know so many talented actors who'd kill to be as lucky-Halle Berry. "Can't stand" is harsh because I don't think she's a bad person. I simply find her annoying. Maybe it's the interviews I happened to see of hers and possible she's changed, but I remember she was very woe is me in all of them. I'm not saying she can't talk about her problems. It would just be nice to acknowledge her life doesn't totally suck when she's worth around $90 million. -
Sex And The City - General Discussion

I'd hate to have that woman as my mother in law. Weird, rude, racist, just the worst. 100% I LOVE SATC, but this was a huge error. I definitely think people who have major family issues tend to invest more in their friendships. We never even got that information though. If all the girls were more or less estranged from their families, they could have given us that message too. It was just all mysterious. There were lots of opportunities for family to show up too-weddings, babies, cancer battles, etc. -
Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

I'm a 32B or 32C depending on my weight. Wish we could trade! My dream is 32DDD. Seriously though, I'm sorry to those of you dealing with back pain. I'd also imagine bras can be tricky. I struggle finding 32C ones sometimes. -

Didn't Trey bathe with his mother sitting right there? -
I used to have a soft spot for Erika because her father left and she implied her mother was abusive. I wonder if her childhood was really as horrible she portrayed, or she had a young mom who had her mess-ups. What many of us consider abuse now was considered discipline when Erika was growing up. (I didn't read her book btw, just going by what she's said on the show/articles.) It sounds like throughout the years her mother was always supporting her dreams-paying for and taking her to dance class and then helping her out in her early adult years. Maybe you need that many when you and your former wife are that full of shit? Seriously though, lots of mansions have way more bathrooms than bedrooms. I'm sure she thinks her glam and glam shots are priority to taking care of orphans and widows. Rinna lost me last year, but I give credit where it's due. No, she wasn't Meryl Streep or Kate Winslet, but she was somebody in Hollywood. I was actually really excited she'd be on the show (key word was lol). It's one reason I was really annoyed by Vanderpump mocking her and Eileen for their twitter followers. Both women became famous as actresses and did it young. They did not became famous as 50-somethings on Bravo. She seems to have a glass half empty mentality. I missed her calling people fat, but I agree it's messed up. Yeah, I was warming up to her, but I hate her oh Sutton is a nobody attitude. I guess that's a pet peeve of mine, when any of them think they're oh so important. As a certain former housewife might ask, who is Crystal Minkoff in this world? I think some of these women are assholes on TV, and maybe they can be in real life, but most of them still have an appreciation for the fans. I think even Brandi's said she makes a point to be kind to anyone who approaches her. I wouldn't go up to her personally, but I like that she's fan-friendly.

Sex And The City - General Discussion

Shopping advice I've heard and believe in is, if you're not initially crazy about something, you'll like it even less once it's yours. Obviously human beings are different from clothing, but it still applies to a degree. It shouldn't take a decade to know someone is the one, especially at their ages. I could see people who start dating in high school waiting a decade to know if they want to spend the rest of their lives together, but that's it. If Carrie really did grow on him and falling in love was a very slow process, is that really good enough? I guess if you like drama and/or Big's $ makes it worth the heartache. Women already deal with so many insecurities. Am I not pretty enough? Does he want a younger woman like Natasha? Is it my background? Am I not cutting it in the bedroom? And Carrie wasn't a chill, super confident person. She was neurotic to stalk Big going to church with his mom and scheme to meet his ex-wife. -
I'm not sure about the holograms, but I'm so excited to get new music from them! Seriously, such an amazing surprise. I always wondered if they'd do anything else since they're one of the few older groups where all the members are still alive. She was an adorable kid in The Parent Trap. I first saw her on Good Morning Miss Bliss, aka the junior high Saved by the Bell.

Garcelle was kind to say she thought Erika had a hard exterior but was really soft; that's what I initially thought too. But PK definitely turned out to have the more accurate read on her being "inherently cold."

Yeah, it's not like "I'll cut Sutton slack, she's sweet, just a bit awkward." It's "You're an awkward, jealous person, and I've never heard of you!!!" She might as well scream "you can't sit with us!!!" Same here! I'd really been warming up to her. Considering the rest of them, it's easy to look good in comparison. Don't steal from orphans and widows. Pay your taxes and any debt you owe. Don't be a total bitch. I was on Crystal's side with the racial discussion. I felt bad Sutton walked in on her. I know Sutton didn't leave the best first impression, but Crystal still comes off like she's the type who wants to be in with who she perceives as the cool kids. Sutton looked really surprised when she realized Crystal was that affected by her walking in on her naked. She was sweet, apologetic and said Crystal might get flowers the next day. Erika would have been like "get the fuck over it you bitch!" lol! Or Faye Resnick. The morally corrupt Faye Resnick. Where's Camille when we need a good nickname for Erika? I didn't appreciate her when we had her . . .
