  1. Oh yes......I watched the first game after he lost and was actually bored....sometimes just because I don't know something doesn't mean it's something I'm interested in knowing. I haven't watched again till monday. Now he's going to be on AGAIN? I may give up on the show because I didn't miss it near as much as I thought I would....or maybe just come here again.
  2. Has Gimple always been so evasive about meeting peoples' eyes? Just comes off as shifty or aware that a lot of the audience think things are screwed up even though he doesn't agree.
  3. There was just soooo much hoopla over this 100th episode. I have my dvr set to record TWD and I got multiple recordings of previews, reminiscences etc leading up to it I was expecting something really spectacular. Pfft. Not even that good as just a regular season opener. Not likely to inspire people to watch the rest of the season. And....I often enjoy the Talking Dead more these days......and use it to filter whether I want to actually watch the episode since Negan appeared. What was with all those crazy people and the nonstop hysterical cheering? The episode sucked, they went crazy for the Junkyard Queen and for Negan. I just don't understand.
  4. I think I've gotten too old for this show. I totally agree with Len's comment about the songs. I actually recognized most of them last night and was lucky to recognize one from the previous shows this season. Made me much happier and I could sing/dance along (only pets to watch me thank goodness). I'm glad Jordan, at least temporarily, lost the 'I love Lucy" looking hair color but think he's still skewing too young for me. One reason I've always loved Disney week though I think most on here hate it.
  5. I was tickled that Aisha echoed what so many here say about Madison. (can't remember her polite words and can't post my own non polite words)
  6. It's not because he's winning.....it's simply because he's on my TV screen. When it becomes obvious I'm not going to enjoy the show (with the hopes of the irritant leaving) I'm gone. Enough going on in real life and little enough time to fill with things I enjoy. I did the same with The Walking Dead. Preview of Negan torture porn and I'm 'nope.....not going there'. DVR it, read the forums, mostly likely delete it without watching. I honestly haven't missed Jeopardy (or The Walking Dead) and right now I'm not sure about tuning in again. Not so much because of Austin but there have been too many of his ilk for me lately and as I get old I'm a lot less tolerant about wasting my time.
  7. I'ts amazing sometimes the piddling little things that influence thoughts about the dancers. Jordan should be an instant like for me but that hair! (I know it's popular now days and the same for the current Artem style). The same also for the bottle blondes that don't keep up their roots. I'm old....and have been bottle blonde before.....and back in the day having dark roots was considered slutty. A silly little thing that drives me nuts and colors my perception about performers. That said....with the super short dances and somewhat level playing field I'm sorta bored this season.
  8. Jeopardy didn't do themselves any favors with the boring reruns just before this season. I learned to turn it off. Therefore I had no problem turning it off when it was obvious who was going to win. Not sure when I'll turn it back on again.
  9. Maybe I was prepared to be underwhelmed after last season but this is all driving me crazy. Also possibly because the only one I recognize is Drew. BUT.....Lindsey/Lindsay confuses me. I hear Sasha and I think of the pro, same for Derek. The two V names throw me but it's recoverable. Everyone seems generically attractive but not that memorable etc. My main concern is Victoria (think I have the right V). I can't imagine someone who can't feel their legs putting on high heels and possibly jeopardizing their whole miraculous recovery to dance. I can't even wrap my head around being able to walk when you can't feel your legs. I mean it's wonderful but take care of that body and keep it wonderful.
  10. Gee....the only one I've heard of is the property brother and that's not from his show but from their commercials.....not a good recommendation lol. I was bored last season and looks like this season too. Add me to the oldies and disinterested.
  11. I certainly reacted negatively. I have cats, dog, bunnies and guinea pigs but no cows lol.
  12. I didn't watch, but have dvr'd , might watch, and read through all the comments. I'm happy about Rashad especially since it seems he didn't get picked up for a NFL team and I assume that's why he's going on the tour.... David, oh David. I have absolutely not been able to get over his grousing over his age....40!!!! That has bugged me all season. I'm way way over 40, if I try real hard I can sorta remember it. Don't mind where he wound up, don't mind where Normani wound up, glad Rashad got a temporary job.....but still gobsmacked over whining about 40 lol
  13. As I said last week this is the first episode ever I didn't dvr. But I watched bits in between channel surfing for something worth watching (obviously not very successfully). I've come to the conclusion I was spoiled last season. I loved James, very strongly liked Calvin and while not thrilled with gymnasts at least I could see Laurie loving to dance which made me feel good. I loved Sasha's patient work with Terra. This season the only thing I've enjoyed is what I felt was Nancy's classiness with a capital C and of course Tom B which is a given (miss him on AFV).
  14. Me too. I have never missed a show since I first started watching but I've already 'eliminated' the rest of this season from my dvr. I swear if they ever have another gymnast contestant I'll skip that whole season too
  15. My few cents.....when I first read of this "handgate" I watched and rewatched my dvr recording. Couldn't see it. When the video was posted here my impression was his hand was resting on her hip, she did a quarter turn and gravity/inertia/whatever it just slipped down without him noticing. His attention really seemed elsewhere to me. BUT.....I really did notice while getting the judges critique she had her arm around him but was keeping out of real body contact and was holding on to Tom too. I rechecked the few dvr recordings I still have and have noticed her occasionally hugging Tom also but never with such a wide space between her and her partner. Maybe she has before since I have a very small sampling. But it was enough to be obvious to me whereas the hand wasn't. YMMV
  16. This was posted before it even came on here in Southern Indiana.....how?
  17. I used it (and this forum) the first half of the season to see if I wanted to watch an episode or not. Simply could not watch the opening episode of the season with what I consider useless showing of violence but wanted to keep up with what was going on yet be selective on what I actually watched. Worked great, I know I actually watched less than half of the first episodes and still kept up lol. Will keep doing it.
  18. I'm so grateful for this forum..... I haven't watched an episode this season. The Talking Dead and this forum are enough so I'll know if I ever want to resume, though I do have them DVR'd, just no interest in watching.
  19. It really bothered me that they got the characters from Game of Thrones mixed up. (I've never watched it but saw the first book at the library and just finished it). Everyone kept saying Cersei.....did I miss something with Cersei and Draqgo? Does it show up in a later book, or the tv show?
  20. I have trouble with Nyle........he just seems one dimensional to me. Always always smiling. I realize he feels like he has to represent the deaf being as capable as anyone....but even Bindi, that ray of perpetual sunshine, had moments of frustration, exhaustion and pain. And actually for that reason I loved his freestyle. Emotion!!! Or have I just somehow managed to miss those moments?
  21. I have to chime in on the crates. I'd never used one till I took in a pitbull foster and he was used to it. Then I got pitbull mix sisters from my sisters dogs litter. Crates to keep these crazies safe. It's unbelievable what they will chew when unattended (they have a fixation with opening the under the sink cabinet and a preference for sos pads, and couch cushions, extensions cords, anything you can think of and yes they have plenty of approved chew things) and unless I had a closeable door to every room it's necessary when I'm at work. (they'll be 2 in June and people keep telling me they'll grow out of it......I'm dreaming). Add to that that the crates have open access all the time and if there's no room on the couch (me and 3 dogs the smallest of which is 70 lbs don't all fit) they often chose their crate as a place to lay. I'd say the crate situation depends on the dog. Mine each see the crate as theirs and where there's zero tolerance for anyone annoying them (read irritating kitty cats or other dog). I'd bought one for the dog I had previous to all this and he wanted nothing to do with it.....at the time I assumed all dogs were that way and it was stored away so sometimes it's a great thing, sometimes not. d
